Chapter Twenty-Four

W es

I let out a low whistle as I eye Sabrina.

She looks stunning, like the most sexy woman on earth.

She twirls around in her almost translucent short black dress.

Her legs are long and tan, and her stiletto heels are higher than I've ever seen them before.

Her blonde hair is straight and sleek, and she's wearing some sort of eyeshadow that makes her eyes pop even more.

I stare at the curve of her breasts. The V cut is so low that they look like they're ready to pop out.

I smile to myself. "I guess I'll shower now and get ready," I say, licking my lips, "unless. .."

"What do you mean?" she says, looking at me blankly.

I stare at her in confusion. "What do you mean, what do I mean?"

"Why are you showering and getting ready, Wes?" She cocks her head to the side and pulls out her phone. "Oh, I think that's Erica."

"Okay. Shall I hop into the shower, then?"

"I guess if you want, but I've got to get out of here."

"What are you talking about? Why do you have to get out of here?" I'm confused and wonder if I've misunderstood something. "Did you make a reservation? What's going on?"

"Oh, I didn't make any reservations. Erica's taking care of everything," she says dumbly. "Anyway, you have a nice evening." She walks over and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"Wait, what?" I grab her wrist and pull her towards me. "Where are you going?"

"I told you, I'm going out."

"I thought we were going out."

"Why did you think that?"

"Because we spent the entire day looking for the perfect dress for you.

You wanted to make sure that I gave it my A-okay and that you looked sexy as fuck, which you do.

If I'd known you were going out dancing or whatever with Erica, I would not have chosen such a sexy dress. That is not appropriate."

"Oh, I'm not going to be just with Erica," she says, giggling.

"Who the fuck are you going to be with? Suki and the other girls?"

"No. Tonight's the night of the double date."

"What the fuck? Are you fucking kidding me right now?" I scowl at her. "You're not wearing that on a double date."

"I wanted to make sure I looked good. And you think I look good, right?"

"Well, yeah, but..."

"But it was okay for me to go out with you looking like this, but it's not okay for me to go on a date with someone else?"

"Why on earth are you going on a fucking date with someone else?" I say, pissed. I'm not happy about it. "We literally fucked this morning."

"Really?" She blinks at me. "Are we dating, Wes?"

I stare at her without saying anything.

"Are we exclusive?"

"No."

"This is an arrangement, right?" She tilts her head to the side.

"You want me to pretend that I'm engaged to you in a couple of weeks so these random women will stop harassing you, but you've never taken me on a date.

You've never taken me anywhere. And you've never asked me to be your girlfriend, and you haven't given me the opportunity to say no either. "

"I shouldn't have to give you the opportunity to anything. I live with you."

At that moment, Bruno chooses to run into the bedroom and jump onto the bed. He looks at me and then at Sabrina and rolls onto his back. "He wants you to pet him," Sabrina says. "I don't want to because this dress costs a lot of money, and I don't want him to accidentally rip it with his paws."

"You're freaking kidding me right now, right, Sabrina? This is another joke."

"It's not a joke. Erica's on her way now, and she's really nervous about meeting Thunder, so I think I should go."

"Where are you going?"

"Why?"

"I want to know where you're going because I want to make sure that..."

"What?"

"If anything happens to you, I know where you are if I have to call the cops."

"Oh, my gosh, you're like my dad."

"Well, I hope I'm better than your dad," I say sarcastically, and she stops.

"Low blow, Carrington."

"Sorry," I say, throwing up my hands, but I'm pissed.

I want to just grab her and pull her towards me and close the door.

I want her to call Erica and tell her the double date is off, but I know I can't. She's right; we're not officially anything.

And just because we've fucked, it doesn't mean anything.

I've fucked plenty of women in my life, and I never cared what they did, and they certainly had no reason to expect that I wouldn't see anyone else because of it. "Fine. Have fun."

"Thank you. And thank you for the dress." She spins around. "I hope that Joa likes it."

I lick my lips and just stare at her. "You think you're funny, don't you?"

"No, not really."

"You can just think of three words while you're on your date," I say as I walk over to her.

"And what would those three words be?"

I want to say, I love you so badly. I want to say, Don't fuck up . I want to say, Stay with me . But of course, I don't because we're not in that place yet. And at the pace we're going, I don't know if we're ever going to be in that place. "I just want you to think of these words: Hot, fat cock."

"What?" She stares at me, blinking. "What does that mean?"

"It means I want you to think of my hot, fat cock in your pussy later tonight.”

“Oh, my gosh. Really, Wes?"

"What?" I grin at her. "Unless you're planning on having Joa's small, skinny little dick inside of you."

She sighs. "It's always a competition with men, isn't it?"

"What?"

"How big your dicks are. Who the fuck cares if he's big or small?

I'm not going to sleep with him because I don't know him.

I'm not going to sleep with him because that's not the sort of girl I am, so just get it through your stupid little head, Wes, that while I'm my own woman, it doesn't mean I'm a slut. "

I smile at her. "Good girl."

"Don't ‘good girl’ me, because who knows what else I’ll do? Maybe I'll make out with him if he's really hot."

I press my lips together again. "You're trying to make me angry, aren't you?"

"Nope. But I'm going to go. I'll see you later." She sashays out of the bedroom. "Bye, Bruno. Love you." She blows him a kiss, and the dog whines. I stare at him and roll my eyes.

I hear the sound of the front door close behind her, and I quickly call the driver. "Are you working tonight?" I ask. Because if she's thinking she's catching a taxi or going on the train, I will run after her myself.

"Yes, sir. She says she's coming down now. Is that okay?"

"That's fine," I say. "Stay with them all night, okay?"

"Yes, sir."

I hang up and quickly call Miles.

"Hey, what's going on?” he says.

"What are you up to? We’ve got to go out."

"No can do. I've got a date tonight."

"A date?"

"Yeah, I know. But I figured I might as well see if I can get some pussy." He burst out laughing. "Anyway, what's going on?"

"Nothing. Have fun on your date." I hang up, then decide to call Tyler. He answers on the second ring.

"Yo, you're calling me twice in one week. What's up?"

"Hey, what are you up to tonight? I was wondering if you wanted to head to a bar."

"I could. I was just chillaxing. I thought about going to hang out with my boys. But if you want to do something, I'm down."

"Awesome. It's a little awkward, but I need your help."

"You need my help with what? It's not got to do with that private detective that you hired, does it? Is Gary not?—"

"No, Gary's working out fine. It's actually got to do with the girl whose dad I'm trying to locate."

"Oh, boy. What did she do?"

"Nothing. But she and my sister are going on a double date tonight with two losers, and I want to make sure that they're okay and try and break it up."

"Okay. What do you want us to do?"

"I would like for you to accidentally spill your drink on her so that the date ends quickly. She's wearing a sexy little number, and I'm nervous that the guy's going to get the wrong impression."

"Wrong impression. Like?"

"Like I'm nervous he's going to think that he can screw her, and that's not going to happen. I don't want to have to murder anyone tonight.”

"Okay. Tell me where to be, and I'll be there."

"Awesome. I'll text you the details. Can you meet me there in thirty minutes?"

"Can do. And Wes, it's nice to hear your voice. I guess you are human after all."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means I've never heard you like this about a girl. You must really like her."

"I do," I say simply. "I think she might be the one." I hang up and quickly hurry into the shower so that I can wash my hair, put on some jeans and a shirt, and get ready to leave. I know that Erica and Sabrina are going to be upset if I show up, but there's no way that I'm not going to show up.

Tyler and I walk into the bar, and I look around.

It's crowded. Everyone seems to be having a good time.

I see people making out on the dance floor and a couple of guys trying to talk to the bartender.

And that's when I spy them, Erica and Sabrina, standing with two guys who look like they are very interested in both of the women.

Unfortunately for me, these two men look like they have it way more together than Rodolfo and his loser friend.

"That's them." I nod over to the corner of the room and look at Tyler. "Shall we get the drinks and then head over?"

"Okay," he says. "They both look pretty hot."

"Hey, one of them is my sister."

"I know. I'm just saying. You don't want me going after the other one, do you?"

"Very funny. Come on." We head over to the bar, and I order two beers. I hand one to Tyler, and he takes a chug. "Don't finish it, dude. Remember, it has to spill."

"I know. Don't worry. I got this." He looks around. Immediately, two blondes come over to us.

"Oh my gosh, are you Tyler Kane?"

"Hi, girls. I am."

"I love hockey. My ex thought you were a jerk, but I think you're absolutely gorgeous."

"Thank you. This is my buddy, Wes."
