“Yeah, Listen to him, Mess.” Joey came up.

I spotted Derrick back on his bike.

Two more guys got out of the truck.

“Who are they?”

“Prospects on our side.” Red said. “They are here to help, but the six of us are not enough.”

“They know you turned?” I asked.

YoYo blinked and he adjusted his jacket.

“Well, no.” He scoffed.

I scanned Joey and Red’s face. All in EastSide Dragons cuts, ride or die for their set and they had no idea by choosing to helped me, they had turned on their club.

I wasn’t sure it hit any of them until that moment. If they helped me, they also became an enemy of the Dragons.

“Hey, we can use it, but …” YoYo said.

“I know where we can get some help.” I grabbed Grace’s jacket.

“Mikey, Squat, y'all grab Grace’s bike and put it in the back of the truck.” Red said.

I fished Grace’s phone out of her inside pocket and unlocked it.

Again, our birth dates by year.

I shut my eyes as the pain clinched my heart.

If anything happened to her, I’d never forgive myself.

I scrolled through her contacts and found the one I was looking for.

“Gracie.” Justice answered after the first ring. “Oh my God, where the hell are you? We’ve been worried—”

“They took them.”

“Who is this?”

“It’s Mase. I'm Grace's…" Fuck what was I.

“We know all about you.” Justice said. "We know what happened to Cason."

I shook my head. The reality of it all hit me like a ton of bricks. I shucked it off and focused.

“Wait.” I blinked. “What do you mean, you know?”

“Josey.” Her voice trailed off.

“Who is this?” A man’s voice echoed through the phone.

“Who the fuck is this?” I recognized the voice, but couldn’t place it.

Justice must have told him who I was.

“Mase.” He paused. “A few hours ago, two guys forced their way into Grace’s house, shot Josey and my guy I had watching the house. They grabbed Cason. I had a guy on Grace too, but she disappeared yesterday. Crafty little thing.”
