Brand murmured in my ear, “When that picture was taken, you were laughin’ at somethin’ Athena said.
You were so fuckin’ beautiful that day in the middle of Tuscany, surrounded on all sides by wild sunflowers and our families.
All I could do was stare at you. I look like a lovesick fool in that photo, but you took my breath away, Roxanne. You still do. Every day.”
“You don’t look like a fool,” I said, blinking and trying to stop the tears from coming.
When he reminisced about our wedding, which he did often, I always teared up. I’d never heard a man talk so much about his wedding, but Brand did all the time.
We had already begun planning a trip back so we could see more of Italy and France.
Anywhere we wanted to go, really. He wanted to take me everywhere.
He wanted us to live our lives like an adventure when we could because we both worked hard.
We played pretty hard too, and this secret room was definitive proof of that.
Brand hadn’t sold his contract for the new housing project or dissolved Lee Construction.
Instead, he made structural changes. His foreman Tweety now ran the commercial contracts division of Lee Construction, and Bea and Clay handled the single-family home builds so Brand could be at home more and work the ranch with his brother and Rye.
But the thing he’d become really excited about was a special, nonprofit plan he been working on to build homes for veterans in the area and their families.
Tab worked with Tweety, Bea, and Brand, but most closely with Brand and his new nonprofit.
She’d turned out to be a bloodhound when it came to finding funding and donors to contribute money and resources.
And she was a very good friend. She’d even joined my book club, and she and I spent way too much time texting and giggling late into the nights about the sexy things we read about in our books.
And just like that, my new family had welcomed a new, fresh iteration of Lee Construction. It was now one more business we all contributed to, alongside Spitfire Ranch, Lee Valley Cabins, and Abey and Devo’s CSA farm, Two Girl Veg.
When my eyes strayed from our way-too-big wedding photograph, they landed on some kind of huge X-shaped contraption just inside the door that I’d missed when we came in.
It took up nearly the entire wall, but it wasn’t attached to the wall; it stood on its own, with a heavy metal base and leather-covered planks crossed in an X.
Brand saw me gaping at it. “That’s a St. Andrew’s Cross, or an X-cross. It’s hot, right?”
I whimpered. I was terrified of that thing.
“I built it for us. It’s kinky as fuck. It even spins, but don’t worry. We’ll take it slow.”
He crawled over me again and began unbuttoning my uniform shirt.
“But not tonight. Tonight, my beauty, I wanna feed you and fuck you on this bed.” He reached above us and pulled a mattress restraint to my wrist and tested the fit.
My clothes came off slowly, but his stayed on, and when he had me completely naked, my wrists and ankles strapped down, he stood at the foot of the bed and stared.
“Do you have any idea how goddamn beautiful you are?”
I blushed. He still had the power to bring me to my knees with just a few words and the look in his eye, even after a year and a half together.
“No, I don’t think you do,” he said. “So let me show you. Tell me yes.”
“Yes,” I breathed, still in awe of the way my man loved me, like it was his one true mission in life.
The restraint cuffs fit snugly, but they didn’t pinch. He’d made sure to buy comfortable, supple leather gear with soft, padded linings. And they spread me open for his taking.
Without warning, and still fully clothed, he lunged at me and dove between my legs, sliding his hands under my ass, and ate my pussy like a starving man.
“Brand!”
“Yeah, beauty,” he rasped between licks. “Tell me your safe word.”
“Basketball!” I yelped when he sucked my clit into his mouth and jammed at least three fingers inside me. “Yes!”
“Good girl. Scream all you want. Only the mountains can hear you.”
I moaned so loudly, I felt the vibrations run through my whole body, and I tried to ride his face, but he held my hips to the bed with a strong hand placed expertly on my stomach. Nothing turned him on more than holding me down and forcing orgasms out of me.
Like I was going to complain about that?
“Come for me, Roxanne. Quickly, so I can feed you the dinner I made for you and then my cock, and then I’m gonna fuck you like I did in our yurt. By the way, I bought one for us.”
His hands and mouth were relentless, and my question came out in breathless shudders. “You… b-bought… what?”
“I bought us a yurt to camp in. I set it up on the back forty near the woods. We’ll go out there this weekend. It even has a claw-foot tub.”
His touch left my stomach and inched up to my breast, and he pinched my nipple tightly before his hand slid up my chest and around my neck. He cuffed my throat and curled his fingers inside me, reaching and massaging the spot he knew would set me off like a bomb.
“Brand!”
“Come.”
And I did.
His commanding voice was all I needed, and I called my pleasure to the stars in the window above us, the stars that would forever shine and find us here, together, loving and living for each other.
