“He’s too busy thinking with his dick to worry about where Alex is putting his right now,” Emmie slurs. “What the hell?” she squeals in shock as Theo stands and throws her over his shoulder. “Get off me, you oaf,” she cries.
“Excuse me. I need to go and teach my wife a lesson.”
Theo’s hand slams down on Emmie’s half-exposed arse with a loud crack.
She wails in pain, but something tells me she loved it a hell of a lot more than she makes out. I’m even more convinced when she meets my eyes over his shoulder and winks at me conspiratorially.
The final two couples soon bid the three of us farewell before they go racing toward their rooms.
“And then there were three,” Alex announces as Calli finally gets off his lap, releases my hand, and drifts to the other side of the tub. “Space at last.” Alex’s knee knocks against mine as he stretches out.
“Oh, I’m sorry. You should have said if you didn’t want me there. I could have sat on Daemon’s lap instead. I’m sure he wouldn’t have minded.”
Alex’s eyes meet mine, attempting to read my reaction before he glances back at Calli when he realises that my cold mask is fully in place.
“You’re good, baby C. Your arse was just getting a bit bony.”
Calli’s brows shoot up.
“You’re complaining to me about bone issues? Sitting on your lap wasn’t all that comfortable either, I’ll have you know.”
“Something you need to confess, Bro?” I ask with a smirk.
Alex shrugs. He literally has no shame.
“Not my fault. I had a hot girl’s arse grinding down on my D and her tits bouncing in my face. I bet that would crack even your ice-cold resolve, devil boy,” he teases.
The two of us glare at each other, and for the first time, a little unease seeps into my veins at the possibility of Calli being right, of him knowing exactly what happened only feet from him last night.
“Drink,” Calli says, passing over two fresh bottles of beer from the side table behind her.
Alex lifts his straight to his lips, downing the lot in one while Calli and I watch.
“You know,” Alex says, making my pulse spike, “you don’t have to hide from us.” His eyes drop to where I’m still wearing a t-shirt while the others spent the last few hours wearing as little as possible.
I shrug, lowering my gaze to the water.
“I’m not hiding,” I say, wishing like hell it came out a little stronger.
Calli’s attention burns into me, but I refuse to look at her because I know she’ll see the truth in my eyes, just like Alex will.
He knows exactly what I’m doing. He’s experienced it many times over the years, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to magically change anytime soon.
An uncomfortable tension falls over us while I wait for Alex to say something that will inevitably pull the rug from beneath both of us.
But to my surprise, it never comes.
“So, baby C. You ready for a night of double trouble?” he teases, when I start to think that drowning in this damn tub might be the easiest way out of the situation.
“Huh?” She looks between the two of us like a rabbit caught in headlights.
“Don’t worry. We know what we’re doing. We’ll be gentle.” The smirk on his face tells both of us that he’s joking, but still, the comments hit a little too hard for my liking.
We might have gone there in the past. And if we were possibly about to spend the night with any other girl than Calli, then I wouldn’t blink at the prospect of sharing her. But just the thought of watching him touch her makes me murderous—even toward him.
“I think I’ll pass this time. Not enough vodka,” she says, waving the now-empty bottle at us and moving to the edge of the tub.
Every muscle in my body locks up as she stands, revealing her banging body to us in her royal blue bikini.
