"Right." Jasper stares at me and finishes his bottle of beer. "Still not an answer."

"I've been with two girls."

"At the same time?" Jasper asks and reaches for another bottle of beer in the bucket. He pops off the top, his gaze never leaving my eyes.

"That's a second question," I say.

Jasper frowns. "No, I'm pretty sure it's part of the first question that you failed to answer."

"I'm still exploring my sexuality," I confess.

There's a smile on the corners of Jasper's lips. "Have you ever been with a man?"

"Again, that is another question." I point at him and laugh. "And you only answered one truth. That's all I'm doing."

Jasper nods with a wry grin. "So, you like pussy, but you also might like dick. But you don't know because you haven't gotten laid yet. Got it."

"I didn't say that," I counter.

"You kind of did, with your refusal to answer," Jasper says. He takes another swig of his beer and seems to relax beside me.

Charlotte finally comes back to the table, bringing me my whiskey sour and holding a martini for herself. I snatch my drink from her fingers and take a massive gulp.

"Glad to see we're having fun here," Charlotte chimes. "What'd I miss?"

"I just asked your friend if she likes pussy," Jasper says.

Charlotte coughs and glances from Jasper to me. "For the record, I've never dipped a toe into that pool." She takes a sip of her martini. "We're just friends." Charlotte wraps an arm around my shoulder.

I shrug her off, worried about what she'll tell Jasper because Charlotte knows everything about my love life and lack thereof. She's been telling me that I need to get laid by an older guy, someone who knows what he's doing and has experience.

Jasper isn't necessarily older, but I can't imagine that he doesn't have girls throwing themselves at him all the time.

Charlotte senses the silence and doesn't let it last. "And what did my friend, Amber, tell you about her sex life?"

"Not much," Jasper says with a grin. "Two girls, but she wouldn't tell me if it was at the same time."

I elbow him in the ribs. "That is an entirely new question."

"I'm kind of with him on this one. It's part of the first question," Charlotte says.

"You are no help." I glare at my best friend, who is enjoying embarrassing the hell out of me.

Charlotte holds up her hands. "I'm not telling. It isn't my personal business to divulge. But you should know she has a track record of attracting crazy. So, if you have any interest in my friend, you're going to have to get my stamp of approval first."

"Crazy, huh? Well, I did meet that meth head," Jasper says. "You might be on to something, Charlotte."

"I swear if the two of you start colluding—"

"You'll what?" Charlotte asks with a sickly-sweet grin.

I grab her martini from her hands and down it.

"You brat." Charlotte laughs and playfully stomps off, heading to the bar for more drinks.

"Order me another whiskey sour!" I shout at her.

I don't have to look over my shoulder to know she's giving me the finger.
