Page 22 of Daring the Hockey Player
"No, you dialed me. I don't know where Amber is. I'm out with the guys celebrating. You should have come out tonight. It's been fun." Jasper frowns and pulls the phone back from his ear. "He hung up on me."
"That was too funny," Charlotte admits. "Okay, Amber's turn. Pick someone."
"She has to choose you. If three are playing, she can't pick the person who just gave her the dare," Jasper says.
I grumble and scowl at Charlotte. "Truth or dare."
"Dare."
"I dare you to get me that whiskey sour that I asked for."
Charlotte grins. "Well played. I pick you," she says at Jasper.
"Jasper."
"I'm Charlotte," she says, realizing they haven't introduced themselves to one another.
"I know," he says. "You've caused a bit of trouble tonight. I'll pick truth."
"She'll ask it," Charlotte says, pointing at me. "I've got to get the princess her drink." She saunters off to the bar.
"Do you think I'm getting my drink?" I laugh because I don't think she's planning on coming back anytime soon.
"Is that your question?" Jasper asks.
"No!"
"Then, no. I don't think she really wants to hang out with us. And I chose truth, so hit me with it."
"Do you have a girlfriend?" I ask, straight and right to the point. He hasn't had any pictures on Instagram with him and a girl, but that doesn't mean he's single. He could be keeping it private or making the ladies think he's available to help his status as an NHL player.
He sips his beer, his gaze never leaving mine. "I do not. I focus on the game, and that doesn't make the ladies happy when I put them second."
"I can understand that," I say. "Your career is important to you. So, are you the kind of guy who prefers flings or friends with benefits?"
He laughs and shakes his head. "One question. My turn."
My eyes widen, and I exhale a nervous breath. "Okay." I glance over my shoulder at Charlotte, who is at the bar. She may actually be ordering me a drink, but she's not bringing it over quickly enough.
"Truth or dare?" Jasper asks.
"Truth," I say and stare at him, hoping this game isn't over before it's begun. I'm nervous and flustered. If I choose dare, I don't want him to ask me to do something else embarrassing, and with the last dare being a prank, the game isn't going quite in the direction that I had hoped. But we did just start.
He could be cautious?
"Do you like pussy?"
My eyes widen, and I think my mouth hits the floor. "Excuse me?"
Jasper quirks a wry grin. "Your sister mentioned something a while back before she and my brother were actually hooking up. Mentioned she had a sister who likes pussy. Do you?"
"I'm going to kill her," I mutter and glance over my shoulder at Charlotte.
I could really use that drink right now.
"It's okay. There's nothing to be embarrassed about." Jasper shrugs. "I mean, I've got friends who are gay. I swear it doesn't matter to me. I just want to know if we both like tits."
Tears prickle my eyes, but I'm filled with laughter, not sadness. "I do like a good set of boobs," I say, "and I've done some experimenting. I'm in college."
