CHAPTER TEN
JESSA
F inals week was here and Jessa was stressed out. She had always been a bad test-taker and her anxiety was always through the roof during this time. Add on that she was trying to make sure that Destiny was doing well this week and Jessa felt like she was drowning.
It was Friday, which meant that this was the last final of her semester. Dr. West, who has insisted that she call him Eli, said that their final for his class would be the presentation they had been working on all semester.
Jessa felt confident in her completed project. She had worked closely with Miles to gather all the data and information she needed for the project. It was interesting to see the ins and outs of the company her brother-in-law owns.
Taking one last deep breath, Jessa opened the door to Eli’s class and walked inside. A big grin stretched across her face when she saw sitting on the table in front of her seat was a to-go cup that, if she had to guess, had hot chocolate in it.
Ever since that day that Eli had purchased her drink, she came in every Friday to one sitting at her chair.
At first, she insisted that he didn’t need to do that.
She shouldn’t be getting special treatment, but he just continued to tell her that he wanted to spoil her and to be a good Little girl and let him do it.
After that, Jess stopped arguing with him and just let it happen. She always saw a smile cross his face when she picked up the cup and took a big swallow. There might be a happy dance every morning as she drank the hot chocolate and she knew that it made Eli happy to watch her do it.
Taking advantage of being the first one to the classroom, Jessa walked up to where Eli sat at his desk and leaned against it. “Good morning, Sir! It’s the final day of the semester!”
“Good morning, Little one. It is, are you ready for today's presentation?”
Jessa nodded her head. Eli had offered during one of their morning walks to look over her project before she presented it in front of the class. She told him no and didn’t want special treatment no matter how much she liked him.
“I’m proud of you, sweetheart. You have done well this semester.”
“Thank you, Sir. I’ve really enjoyed the semester learning from you, but I’m excited for Christmas break.”
“Me too, Jessa. The end of the semester means a lot of things for me, but there’s one that is above all the others.”
“What’s that, Sir?”
“It means that I’m no longer your Professor and there is nothing standing in the way of me pursuing you and your sister. I want you both and I am ready to let the world know that you’re mine.”
Jessa’s eyes widened. Destiny came home a few weeks ago and told her that Jackson told her that he wanted to date them both. Now Eli is saying the same thing. Destiny wasn’t going to believe this at all.
“Don’t worry, you don’t need to say anything right now. I just want to tell you my intentions.”
She nodded her head, but before she could speak the door opened again and more students began coming in.
“Go sit down, babygirl. We can talk later.”
Turning, Jessa went to her seat and picked up the hot chocolate waiting there for her. She had no idea how they were going to handle these two men, but that was a problem for later. Right now she just needed to focus on finishing this last class.
Waving goodbye, Jessa slipped out of the class where Destiny was waiting for her. “You will never believe what I have to tell you, but first how has your day been?”
Destiny completed her last class of the semester on Wednesday, so she has been spending her time relaxing and going to hang out with Rae during the day.
“My day was great. I went over to Rae’s house again and spent time playing in the playroom with her and Olivia. She got a bunch of new finger paints and Emmett rolled out a huge sheet of paper and let us all go to town painting it.”
Jessa’s heart skipped a beat hearing that. They found that it was hard for them to slip into Little space while on campus. There was always something going on or stress from classes getting in the way.
They had turned to spending time at their sister’s house and playing in her playroom. At first, it was a little strange to see Rae in that headspace and allow Emmett to play the caregiver role with them, but they quickly got past it. It’s been amazing ever since.
“Anyways, what did you have to tell me?” Des inquired as they walked up the stairs of their dorm.
“I’ll tell you when we get inside. No one needs to overhear this.”
Jess slid the key into the lock and pushed inside, throwing her book bag on the ground in front of the closet. Flopping face down into her mattress, she waited until Destiny was done putting all her things away knowing that she would crawl into bed with her for cuddles.
“Okay, now will you tell me what’s going on?” Des asked again as she wiggled her way beneath where Jessa’s arm laid on the bed. Jess twisted in bed until they could lay side by side before speaking.
“Eli told me now that the semester is over, there is nothing stopping him from pursuing a relationship with me.”
“Oh wow. Really?”
“Yeah and that’s not all. He said that he wanted you, too.”
It was so quiet in the room Jess was scared to let out the breath she was holding as she waited for Des to react.
“What are we going to do? It would be crazy to even entertain the idea of dating one of them, but now both of them want to be with us?”
“I really don’t know, D. Right now though, isn’t the time to think about it. Right now, we just need to get changed because we are going out to celebrate tonight! We survived our first semester of college, D!”
Destiny let out a big hoot before falling into a fit of giggles. Jessa was so proud of how far D had come this semester and couldn’t wait to go out tonight.
“Up you go! Go change clothes you starfish.” She said, pushing Destiny out of the bed. “We have dinner plans that involve greasy pizza and bowling.”
Jess laid there a few more moments before she too got up and started to get ready. Emmett and Rae would be here soon to pick them up for the evening. They were all meeting Olivia and Miles in the next town over to hang out. Jess was hoping that it would be a nice and calm night.
Three weeks have passed and Jessa has enjoyed being on break. Since they are out for the semester, they decided to stay at Rae’s house. This gave them unlimited time to have Little time as well as get to spend time with them for the holidays.
This was the first time that they didn’t spend the holidays with their parents. When their mom called and asked when they were coming home, she was shocked to hear that they weren’t.
After days of their mom hounding them for the reason why, Jessa finally told her that they had reconnected with Raelyn. That went as bad as she expected it to. The wardens weren’t happy at all that they reached out to Rae and had even threatened to cut them off.
The twins remained strong though and eventually their parents stopped asking and finally understood that they were adults and could do as they pleased. Jessa wouldn’t say that it’s been easy talking to them, but she also wasn’t willing to give up her sister again when she just got her back.
Determined to turn the holidays into something special, now that their relationship with the wardens was rocky, all of the girls worked overtime to convince Emmett and Miles to have a Christmas party this year. It wasn’t easy and took a lot of effort, but eventually the girls won.
For the past two weeks Jessa, Des, Rae, and Olivia worked diligently to plan the perfect party. Packed full of Little activities, the day will be spent decorating gingerbread houses, making Christmas cookies, decorating their stockings, and watching all their favorite Christmas movies.
Emmett mentioned that some guys he knew from college would be joining them today, convincing the Littles that they were both Daddies and it would be safe for them to be themselves today.
Apparently, they didn’t have any plans for Christmas and when the twins found that out, they decided that it was Operation No Daddy Left Behind. The girls spent all morning working on decorating the house and making sure all the activities were ready to go.
“I think this is everything, D. I’m going to go take a shower and get ready. Can you help me do my hair when I get out?” Jess asked as the twins made their way towards the room they were sharing while on break.
Des nodded her head responding “I can as long as you help me do the same. I’m going to take a shower as well. Meet up in our room?”
Jess gave her sister a smile while gathering the things she would need when she got out of the shower.
Rae had taken them earlier this week to go shopping for something to wear.
Once again they had decided to wear the same outfit just in different colors.
It felt fitting since they wanted to spend the majority of time in Little space.
Skipping off towards the other bathroom, Jess slipped inside and started the water. Making sure it was set to the temperature of hell, just the way she liked it, she quickly undressed and stepped inside.
Another difference between Jess and her sister was the temperature they preferred their showers.
While Jess loved them as hot as they could possibly go, Destiny preferred them to be more lukewarm.
D also hated taking super long showers because she hated the feeling of her skin being wet, while Jess would stay in there until the water ran cold.
Squeezing some of her favorite body wash that smelled like sugar cookies into the washcloth, Jess began washing up before moving onto her hair.
She had a matching shampoo and conditioner that also smelled like sugar cookies.
Jess had to stock up on the scent while it was Christmas season because this was the only time she could ever find it.
