TEXT ME MAYBE

Friday

Savannah

I think Pierce forgot you weren’t here today. He walked right into your office, saw me, and walked right back out again.

Zeke

He better remember I’m not there since he’s the one who sent me on this stupid op. I hope you threw something at him.

Savannah

I asked him if he was lost, does that help?

Zeke

Actually it does.

How are things going?

Savannah

I had all the stuff from my storage unit delivered to my condo yesterday and I’m regretting it. I didn’t remember how much I had.

Zeke

I can help when I get back if you need an extra set of hands.

Savannah

I might have to take you up on that because it’s a LOT.

Saturday

Zeke

How’s organizing going?

Savannah

As well as you would expect.

How’s spying on Vincent going?

Zeke

About as well as you would expect. This is a waste of time. I’m going to call Pierce today and tell him we’re coming home.

Savannah

I’ll cross my fingers for you.

Sunday

Zeke

Give Pierce shit if you go in tomorrow. Spit in his coffee or something.

Savannah

I take it he isn’t letting you come home yet?

Zeke

No. I’m starting to think he and Vincent are actually competing to see which one of them can be more of a pain in my ass.

I had to sit in the freezing cold for twelve hours last night because Vincent decided to camp out between two bushes to stalk some woman who hacked into his system.

Savannah

That doesn’t sound like much fun. For anyone.

Zeke

You might be surprised. I’m pretty sure Vincent enjoyed himself thoroughly.

Monday

Savannah

I noticed your office was a little drab. I also noticed I accidentally bought too many candles, so things worked themselves out and I put a few on your desk. I hope that’s okay.

Zeke

That depends. What scent are they?

Savannah

Mahogany Teakwood

Zeke

As long as it doesn’t smell like my grandma, it’s fine.

Savannah

I’ve never smelled your grandma, but I can say with relative certainty she doesn’t smell like this.

Zeke

It’s been a while since I smelled my grandma, but if I remember correctly, her perfume was Camel Reds and cheap vodka.

Savannah

That’s unfortunate. Cheap vodka is terrible.

Zeke

It really is.

Tuesday

Zeke

It sounds like we’re leaving, but only because Pierce is sending us to assist one of the guys from Alpha with a job that’s going sideways.

Savannah

You’re not missing much. It’s pretty boring here. Unless you consider counting toilet paper fun.

Zeke

I do not.

Savannah

I’m ashamed to admit how much I don’t mind it. Probably because it’s better than sitting in my house staring at the walls.

Zeke

I’m glad you’re not still sitting in your house staring at the walls.

Savannah

Me too.

Wednesday

Zeke

It turns out saying this job was going sideways was a massive understatement. It might not be as easy to get in touch with me for the next few days. If you need something, Isaac can always get to me no matter what.

Savannah

Is everything okay?

Zeke

Okay is relative. Everything will be okay. Eventually.

Savannah

That sounded ominous. Please be careful.

Zeke

I will. I have a weirdly scented office to come home to.

Savannah

Weird is relative.

Zeke

I guess we’ll find out.

Thursday

Savannah

I hope everything is going relatively okay.

Also, there are three hundred forty-five rolls of toilet paper in the storage room. Just in case you were wondering.

Friday

Savannah

Elise mentioned you like the little pretzel packs she orders so I stole a bunch as soon as the delivery came in and stashed them in the bottom drawer of your desk.

Savannah

Have you ever noticed how often Pierce goes to bother Intel? I swear he’s walked past your office a hundred times today. It’s annoying. I wonder what he would do if I shot him with a squirt gun…
