The intercom dings letting us know we have a visitor. Spade checks the cameras and sees it's our food. Taking a gun from the hallway closet, he makes his way outside with Ryder on his tail. I never thought Spade would actually admit to his feelings, let alone admit that he’s attracted to men. But here we are. Does it hurt that he found someone else and I’ve been pushed to the side? Yes, it does, but it's not just about him and I. Our dynamic was only heightened because of Jade. She knows people are just vessels for me. A body to sink my dick into, except for her and him, and now he’s got a whole boyfriend. So, where does that leave me? I look over at Jade and narrow my eyes at her. This is her fault. If she would’ve told him no, that he had to choose, none of this shit would be going on.

Walking over to her, I snatch her little ass up, throw her over my shoulder, and take us to the dining room. I don’t make it all the way when the sight before mehas me stopping in my tracks. “What the fuck?” We both say in unison as I spin her around.

“Ugh, Caveman. If you don’t stop spinning me, I’m going to throw up. Put me down. You’re hurting my stomach, which isn’t helping my nauseousness.” She says, pounding on my back as I place her down on the hospital bed.

“What the fuck have we missed? Why is this room set up like this?” I say and she shakes her head.

“Ask your buddies, I got here a couple of days ago and they were pretty fucking comfortable in my house.” She says and my eyes narrow.

“Wait, where the fuck were you? I thought we both were in the hospital. My father showed me a video of you sleeping in the room.” I say and her eyes widen as she curses underneath her breath.

“Kane!” She shouts and I growl.

“Chill out, just trust me.” She says as Kane walks into the room.

“Get my father on the line please.” I order and he steps out to place the call.

“Your father? He’s dead.” I say, but she shakes her head.

“The father who raised me is, but my biological father isn’t.” She says as my eyes narrow in confusion. Kane walks in, handing Jade his phone.

“You there?” she asks, and the voice who replies has my brows hitting my forehead.

“Aye Chisler. What’s wrong? Everything okay?” Flynn asks with his thick Irish accent.

“Did the execution go to plan?” She asks. What fucking execution?

“Aye, it’s done.” He simply replies.

“Was he there from the time I arrived until I woke up?” She asks as everyone is now joined in this one room.

“He didn’t return until after you were awake. Why, what is going on?” He asks, a slight panic in his voice.

“We might have another rat in our rank. I’ll get back to you shortly.” She says and the line goes dead. She begins to rub her temples like she’s trying to relieve a headache.

“I need these fucking memories to come back because I’m missing a huge puzzle piece.I have a feeling Flynn got it wrong and it’s not the Russians O’cleary was working for, it’s the fucking Aces.” She spits.

“Wait a second. Hold the fuck up, Siren. You mean to tell me this entire time, I was fucking the Irish Queen and, and you know about The Aces?” I shout, completely stunned. The others all have their hands covering their mouths like this is some kind of joke. For once I’m the last to know.

“Yes, Caveman. That’s exactly right.” She smirks as Spade takes the bag of chinese food into the kitchen, setting everything out buffet style.

Placing my hand out, Jade takes it, scooting off the bed. We head into the kitchen to finally eat, but the minute Spade opens up the beef with broccoli, Jade is hightailing to the bathroom. Dario goes after her and I sit down and plate me up some food while I think. A few minutes later they come out and I raise a brow at her.

“When was the last time you had your period?” I ask as I take a bite of my food, and the whole room goes silent.

“Fuck you.” She says, running up the stairs.

“Really Jay? Can’t we have one night of peace. Jesus Christ.” Spade says, shoveling his mouth with food.

“I’ll go talk with her. Just save us some food.” Dario says, taking his cane and following her.

Me and my big mouth are always ruining a good thing.
