Operation Save Jameson 2.0
Jade
Standing on the side of the road, I check all my holsters as Kane comes up beside me.
“You stay behind me, Jade. We work together as a team,” he orders, and I roll my eyes.
“Umm, fuck off.” I sass, walking over to Dario.
“Everyone have their coms?” I ask and he turns to me, pushing my hair behind my ear, slipping the little piece in gently.
“I’ll be with you the whole time. If anything triggers you, I’ll try my best to help you through it. This isn’t the first time we’ve rescued Jameson. You’ve saved us more times than I can count. I know if I tell you to shoot left, you will execute the shot. I have no doubt in my mind that you can handle yourself.” He whispers and I nod. Grabbing the bottom of his shirt, I stand on my tippy toes and place a gentle kiss on his lips.
“I trust you.” I say, not realizing what I’m saying because I trust no one, but those words came easily with him.
“Good. Now go kill some motherfuckers.” he smiles, slapping my ass as I walk towards Spade.
“Alright, everyone ready? Gio, take your men to the west side, Casp, you take the south and we will take the east, leaving the entrance open like nothing is going on.” Spade orders.
“I got the cameras and all the access points. Dario will let me know when you guys hit them, and when the light turns green, you go.” Maverick says as Ryder passes out black balaclava masks. Taking mine, I pull it over my head, shielding everything but my eyes. Spade does the same, and when he turns to me, they all have the joker print on them.
“Well that seems fitting, Harley.” He says, I assume with a grin given the way his eyes crease when he smiles. Gripping onto his arm, a sudden flash hits my vision of us at school, the three of them dressed up as the joker as I walk over to them. Dario, whispering in my ear, brings me right back to the present.
“What was it this time?” He asks as eyes are all on me.
“A dance with you guys dressed as the joker?” I ask and they laugh.
“Ah yes, it was the night of your twenty-first birthday and Kayla forced us all to go to the dance at school. We were all Jokers, and you were a sexy Harley Quinn with our collar we had custom made for you around your neck.” Dario informs me and my eyes widen.
“Well, shit.” I say and they shake their heads.
“Alright, Babygirl. You ready?” Spade asks excitedly and I nod.
“Ready as I’ll ever be. Let’s go kill these motherfuckers.” I say, looking over at Dario.
“Go get my brother. Stay safe.” He says and I nod, taking off behind the others as everyone splits up.
Coming to the fence, Kane takes out the wire cutters, swiftly cutting through the chain link. Holding it open for us, Spade and Ryder step in and I follow, with Kane behind me.
“Kitten, can you hear me?” Dario says in my ear.
“Yes, we can all hear you.” Ryder responds, and I giggle.
“Just making sure.” He says as we walk through the tall grass.
“There’s three men on the top tower, and two men guarding the door you are heading for.” Dario states.
“Roger that.” Spade confirms as I roll my sniper rifle over my shoulder, getting ready to take aim.
“How many towers are there?” I ask as one comes into view.
“There’s only two, the one you’re seeing right now and there’s another one on the southwest end.” He says through my ear.
“Bet.” I say, crouching down into the grass as I put the stand in place and lay flat on my stomach. Looking through the scope, I see the three men. Flipping the safety off, I take a deep breath and pull the trigger. The bullet flies silently through the air, hitting my target right between the eyes. Pulling the trigger again, I hit the second man in the side of the head and watch as his head explodes, brain matter flying in the air. The third man looks below at us and takes aim, but he’s too slow as I pull the trigger again, hitting him right through the temple. Crawling a few feet in front of me, I look through the scope to the last tower and see two men frantically moving and I don’t hesitate taking them both out one after the other.
“Such a good girl, Kitten.” Dario praises through the coms and I smile at his words. Leaving my rifle in the grass to pick up on our way out, I stand up and quickly run behind the others as they round the back of the building.
“Incoming, the second tower must’ve alerted the others.” Dario says as Ryder takes his knife from his sheath and stabs one of the guards in the neck. I look over just as Spade does the same with the other.
“Cyprus brothers are in. The light on the door should turn green in 3, 2, 1.” Dario says as the keypad changes colors. We file in and are greeted with a flight of stairs.
“Ya know, it would’ve helped if Jameson actually told us where the fuck he is in this place.” Spade whines and I laugh. He’s not wrong. This institution has four floors. This is going to take forever.
“He’s on the second floor.” Dario states and I giggle as we climb the stairs, stopping abruptly as a guard steps out and points a gun at my brother's head. Too bad for him, no one aims a gun at my blood and gets away with it. Pulling out a throwing knife that Dario gave me, I fling it up the stairs, nailing him in the eye. He screams as Ryder pushes him, causing the gun to drop and go off. Fuck. So much for a silent entrance.
“We need a distraction. Cyprus brothers are surrounded by four guards, on the first floor.”
“I thought this was supposed to be fast and easy?” Spade asks.
“Is anything ever easy? Do you not remember what happened the last time?” Dario reminds him. We open the door and slowly walk through the halls of this place. It’s creepy as fuck here. I see an empty room, grab a flash bang, pull the pin and roll it into the room.
“Run!” I yell and we take off down the hallway, skidding to a stop as we round the corner right on top of the brothers. I give no fucks and grab another flash bang, pulling the pin and throwing it towards the guards.
“Get down, cover your face and run!” I yell and they all follow suit. We get to another door, waiting for the light to turn green and swing it open to another set of stairs.
“We gotta make this quick. They’ve called in the police. We have about twenty minutes to grab Jameson and get the fuck out of here.” Dario says in a panic.
“Then we light this bitch up.” I say and we all take out our guns, ready to shoot first and ask questions later.
We finally get to the floor we need and I run down the hallway, praying I’m going the right way as everyone splits up.
“Kitten, be careful.” Dario reminds me as someone grabs me from behind, but as soon as they grab me, I hear a pop just as fast. The body drops and I don’t look back to see who saved my ass. I need to find Jameson.
“Jameson!” I yell as I continue to check every room. A girl with white-blonde hair, dressed as a clown, suddenly slams into me. What the fuck? I aim my gun at her but Dario screams into the com.
“Jade, no! We have specific instructions to leave her be.” He says in a panic and I lower my weapon.
“What do you want with Mr. Sir Jameson?” She asks, her head cocked to the side as she takes me in.
“Where is he?” I spit, not giving a fuck about being nice to the clown.
“Maybe if you weren’t being a whole bitch, I’d tell you.” She giggles, but Dario again stops me from making any moves.
“Don’t. Trust me. Just leave her.” He orders again and I nod.
“Fine.” I say. I yell again for Jameson. As soon as his name leaves my lips, a tall muscular blonde man with blue eyes runs out of a room and stops in front of me. I look up at him as his eyes widen.
“Princess?” he asks, his face dropping in disbelief, like he’s shocked to see me.
“Jameson?” I question him with an arched brow.
He stumbles back for a second when Spade comes running down the hall, tackling Jameson to the ground as a bullet flies over their heads. I spin, shooting the guard in the face. He drops like a ton of bricks as the others make their way over. I turn back to see them hugging and what shocks me is when Spade grabs Jameson’s face and brushes his lips against his.
Jesus Christ, why is that so hot?
