Dreams I knew it was for Jade. I just hope she says yes.

A gasp echoes down the hallway of our penthouse city apartment as her heels click the marble floor, getting louder with each step she takes. My heart is beating a mile a minute as sweat begins to bead on my brow. The door opens and her beautiful emerald eyes light up as she takes in the scene.

“He’s lost so much blood. He’s coding again.” A high-pitched voice says as the scene in front of me pixelates into a bright white light. No, no. Give me back my Princess. What the fuck is going on here?

“We need to give him a blood transfusion as we operate. We need to hurry, he’s coding,” the voice says again as my mind spins and I hear the slow beeping begin to diminish. Beep…beep…beep…beeeeeppp.

Then everything is silent. Black. Nothingness.

Bright white light over my head beams down on me as I wake up with a gasp.

“Mr. Callaghan, you need to calm down. Slow your breathing. Do you know where you are?” Someone says to my right, but the light is so bright my eyes are taking longer to adjust.

“Jade, where’s Jade?” I rasp, but someone’s hand is on my shoulder, pushing me down as I thrash, needing to get to my girl.

“Son, I need you to calm down.” I hear my father’s command.

“Jade! Where is she?” I ask through gritted teeth.

“Not here. Now calm down.” He commands again, pushing me further into the bed, but I yell and continue to thrash. I will not calm down until I feel her hands on my body and hear her voice soothing my rage. All I need is her!

“Fuck you. Get me Jade. Now!” I yell, but he laughs.

“Poor little boy blue! Time to go back to sleep, my weak child.” My father whispers as a sudden rush of heat fills my veins. My eyes roll back and my body feels heavy as a lone tear falls from my eye.

“Jade, I need you Princess.” I slur as everything spins different colors in my mind to black. Then nothing. No noise, no colors. Just death.
