Sara
Emma rolled her eyes.“Of course I tried to kill him. He was the one who suddenly threw me on this giant robot dinosaur and rode away without bothering to give me his name.”
“She was fighting like a cornered lizera,” Lans growled. “Yetra almost crashed.”
“And what did you do to get me to stop struggling?” Emma challenged. “Tell them.”
“I will not.”
“Why? You weren’t this shy back then?”
Lans glared at Emma who just smiled smugly.
“I want to know.” Sara leaned forward.
“So do I,” Tiegan said with an arch of his eyebrow nub.
“Look at him!” Liliana teased. “I didn’t know aliens could blush!”
Korben’s chest vibrated beneath her as he laughed at their antics. Sara glanced up at him. The moment their eyes met, her heart thrummed with happiness.
Korben stroked her hair back from her face, his eyes darkening. She smirked, sensing his need as their eyes held. Sah-ah wanted to go into the room, but the minute she did, Korben would not let her out of it until morning and she really wanted to spend some time with the girls.
Turning her eyes away from his, she leaned her elbows against the table. “What about you Liliana? Did you ever try to run from Tiegan?”
“She did worse. She tortured me with words,” Tiegan said.
“You could understand her?”
“Unfortunately,myinterface was not jammed.”
“I hate awkward silences,” Liliana explained. “Is that a crime?”
Laughter flew over the table and made a smile tug on her lips. Sara patted her stomach, full to the brim. Her plate gleamed after being licked clean. Emma was a surprisingly amazing cook and the way she’d turned that gitd and tumari into a dessert…
Mm. Sara wanted to live in peace now, but she hoped Emma didn’t stop with the stress-baking.
Korben’s hand slipped under the table. When his fingers stroked her thigh, her limbs melted in response.Oh. That felt so good. She rubbed her chin on his chest, inhaling his scent of stardust and sweat. His contentment traveled from his neural connector to hers and she was sure Enthara’s eyes would be a pristine blue.Peace.
Or would it be the red of lust?
Korben’s fingers were stirring up a whole lot inside her. His touch inched higher on her thigh, nudging her legs apart. Tingles shot straight into her center and her nostrils flared as heat barreled into her. Korben held her gaze, his half-hooded eyes telling her he knew exactly what he was doing.
Sara eased her legs wider, welcoming his touch. Sure, she didn’t want too much PDA, but she’d make an exception this once. Korben’s lips quirked up in a half-smile and she nearly whimpered. Seriously, how could she resist this sexy alien when he was rubbing circles so close to where she needed him to be.
“So, Sara.” Liliana turned her bright eyes on them. “How did you and Korben fall in love?”
“Well, we…” Sara’s mind went blank when Korben naughtily teased her. “Um… we wet—I meanmet.”
Lillian laughed. “Obviously.”
“And we,” she panted, “he did things.”
“Things?” Clavas scrunched his nose in confusion.
“Fed me.” Sara dug her fingernails into the table as Korben freed her of her undergarments. “He protected me.” Korben’s tail disappeared beneath her dress. “And he…”
Stars exploded before her eyes, brought to life from the brush of his tail against her. She jumped to her feet, her knees clattering the table and causing the china to rattle loudly. Every eye turned to her. If Sara’s skin wasn’t so dark, she was sure she’d be about three shades of red right now.
