Story: Love on Ice
“This is true.” Sam chuckles.
“I keep telling him someone is going to swoop in and put a ring on Kimberly’s finger, and then he’s lost her for good,” Nate warns his pal. Sam rolls his eyes as if he’s heard that comment a million times before. “Unlike what I hear Felix did today, confessing his feelings for one Miss Harper Rose on the plane and now you’re dating?” Nate asks.
What am I supposed to say to Harper’s friends? We haven’t discussed how this is going to work between the two of us. “Who wouldn’t want to date Harper? She’s gorgeous, inside and out.”
“Harper is a great girl, shit taste in men, present company excluded,” Nate says.
“Thanks. My dating life hasn’t been the greatest either.”
“His best friend was fucking his girlfriend for a year,” Sam adds.
Nate appears shocked. “That sucks.”
“Apparently, they were high school sweethearts but never told me. And I guess they decided to give things another go while she continued to date me.” I shrug.
“That’s messed up,” Nate adds.
“Well, their loss because now you’re here with us,” Sam says, placing his arm around my shoulders.
“Ladies,” Nate calls out, which gets our attention. I swing around on my chair and my jaw falls open at how beautiful Harper looks. She is dressed in a shimmery pink mini dress that shows off her long, tanned, toned legs, and the top pushes up her breasts into perfect pillows. She’s a goddess. And before I know what I’m doing, I’m getting up off the chair and stalking over to her, where I grab her face and kiss her. Harper at first stiffens but then remembers we are supposed to be dating, so relaxes and kisses me back.
“What the hell was that for?” she hisses under her breath as she looks up at me.
“You look gorgeous, and wouldn’t your boyfriend come up and tell you with a kiss?”
“You’re right,” she says, relaxing.
“What took you guys so long?” Sam asks.
“Harper wanted photos taken,” Kimberly answers.
“Can you two keep the PDA to a minimum around me? I’m happy you two are dating, but it’s gross to see,” Sam says. Harper flips him off.
“Let’s eat, this man will be starving,” Harper says, placing her hand on my chest.
“Yeah, for you,” I whisper into her ear. I notice the shiver that she tries to hide. Then she pinches my nipple once everyone walks off. “Ouch.” Harper pokes her tongue out at me. “Real, mature. And to think you’re the older one.” Harper flips me off before joining Kimberly in a conversation.
“I don’t knowwhy I am so drunk?” Harper mumbles as she snuggles into me. I had to pick her up and carry her back to our hotel room.
“Probably had something to do with the two bottles of champagne at dinner and then shots at the bar,” I tell her, pushing open the hotel room door for us.
“I was having fun,” she says, waving her hands in the air, nearly making me drop her. I place her down on the bed. “I’m a party girl remember.”
“Foot,” I ask, indicating for her to place her heel on my knee so I can take her shoes off. She does as she is told, and I undo her heels and slide them off, then I give her feet a quick massage because they look red and sore.
“Oh my god.” She groans as my fingers dig into her arches. “This is who you’re dating,” she mumbles before groaning again as I work on her other foot.
“Did you have fun?” I ask, looking up at her from where I’m kneeling.
“Yes.”
“Did you hurt anyone?”
“No.” She frowns down at me.
“Then it seems like you had a good night,” I tell her as my hand moves up her calf and starts massaging there.
“I was dancing on the bar.”
