Story: His Kidnapped Bride
He pauses after completing his side story. Mayil is numb; she can't believe it, but this is so intense for her. She is still lookingat him; Mrityunjay is worried after seeing her reaction; she is not responding; she is numb; and suddenly she starts becoming cold.
"Mahi… "
CHAPTER 72
Mayil is numb; she doesn't want to hear him; every single word is like molten lava; she searches for hope in his eyes, which could be a loud laugh and say I am joking; his eyes say he is not making any story; but her heart is not ready to accept his words; she wants to scream. And she wants to run away from him and hide in her father's lap. She wants to ask him why he is telling such a big lie to her by bringing her father into a random situation; she wants to prove him a liar. She is looking for some ray where she can tell Mrityunjay that he is lying to her, but his eyes are telling what he said sometime back, and there is no change in her mood.
Mrityunjay holds Mayil in his arms. Her heartbeat has suddenly increased, and at the same time, her hands and feet have started falling from a cold. He immediately panics and calls Mahi's name out loud.
"Mahi….."
She looks deeper into his eyes. He is very concerned about her; he holds her face lovingly and says some sweet words, but she is not in a position to explain to herself whether what is happening here is true. All of a sudden, she just starts to feel as if someone is strangling her with very light hands because of pressure. She is finding it very difficult to breathe, but she is not dying. She shivers.
"Mahi..."
Mrityunjay curses himself for having informed her of all this. He didn't want to tell her anything. Then why did he suddenly tell her all this? He does not understand. Whereas he knows that any kind of shocking thing is not right for Mayil because her heart is not only very weak, and she cannot accept anything so easily or so quickly.
"Mahi, talk to me."
But Mayil feels as if there is no life left inside her. Hearing such a horrible thing about her father, about whom she cannot hear a wrong word, the man has told her such a great thing about the man whom she loves the most after her parents. She tried hard and said,
"Lie… "
Mritunjay does not want to say anything to her. He immediately made her lie down on the bed and sit next to her, and the doctors are examining her very thoroughly. The doctor checks her pulse, which is very fast. He immediately signals to Mrityunjay that he needs to be given an injection so that she can sleep because it is not right for her heartbeat to increase like this. He nods quickly. The doctor quickly does his work, but Mayil doesn't react at all.
She is only looking at Mrityunjay; he comes close to her, kisses her on the head, and tells her.
"Mahi, just relax... I am sorry. I am really sorry, love."
Mayil is definitely under the influence of the sedative, but she can very well see Mrityunjay's face, which is not disguised in any way. She knows that he is not lying to her. But her heart is not ready to accept her father as wrong and do some heinouscrimes in the past. Soon she drifted into a deep slumber, and Mrityunjay quickly called his mother.
"Maa….. I told her everything. The doctor said that her condition has become much better than before. But not knowing what happened to her, she suddenly started behaving as if she had a great shock; she was feeling uneasy. Maa, I can't forgive myself. What if something happened to her?"
" God…. I do not understand at all why this child has not been treated since childhood, even though her mother and her father knew her condition very well. She should have kept getting it treated regularly. I can't understand anything. Is he really in love with her or not? Mrityunjay, I join my hands in front of you. Stop chasing this girl; you love her; think only about her wellness; love is the name of giving and not of receiving. She needs her family. She is very weak; just think about her."
Mrityunjay turns and looks at Mayil. He doesn't know what he wants and what he doesn't, but he does know exactly what Mayil needs.

"Sakhi, how many times have I told you to please don't stress yourself with my work?"
"I am okay, Jaggi."
"First of all, tell me how you have given leave to the entire staff of the house; you are going to do all the housework yourself; I do not understand anything... What is happening all of a sudden? You need rest, but you give leave to everyone."
"Jagdish, I want to talk to you about something. If you have time."
"You don't need to ask me to say anything. Tell me quickly what's the matter, as I am going to leave for the airport soon."
