He held out his hand, and I glanced at Bliss, who nodded at me.
A part of me expected him to wink and say “Gotcha!” like Scythe would have, but Vincent just shook my hand like we were meeting for the first time.
Because apparently we were.
“Do you kill people too?” I blurted out.
I yanked my hand back and slapped it over my mouth. I hadn’t said it loud enough for anyone else to hear, not with the music filtering through from inside and the chatter of the people in the line behind me.
But still. Seriously, someone needed to gag me sometimes.
Bliss just laughed.
But Vincent very seriously shook his head. “Not anymore.” Then he paused. “At least not for fun.”
I was sure my eyes were as big as dinner plates while Bliss dragged me inside the club and let Vincent get back to his job.
“I’m so sorry,” I muttered to her as she guided me through the doors that had been locked up the last time I was here. “I didn’t mean to ask him that.”
Bliss laughed and waved her hand around dismissively. “Don’t sweat it. He won’t hold it against you. He’s the sweet one.” She glanced up at me. “He is just as deadly as Scythe though. The darkness inside them is more like their third alter, at least that’s how they explain it. It’s been mostly silent for the last few years, but it’s always there.”
I shivered and vowed to stay out of their way as much as possible.
Bliss pointed to the hooks on the walls. “You can leave your coat here.”
I nodded and pulled it off, hanging it on the wall.
When I turned around, Bliss was doing the same.
Only the outfit she had on beneath her riding leathers was a whole lot different than mine. Bliss stood in nothing but lacy green lingerie. Her nipples showed through the sheer material. As did dimpled thighs and belly rolls.
With her beautiful auburn hair tousled from her helmet and the ride on the bike, she was absolutely stunning.
The most attractive part of all being the way she stood there with her head held high, not hiding away, and complete and utter confidence in her expression.
I could never.
Around me, other women did the same. Stripping down to skimpy outfits or underwear. I backed up a step toward the door, suddenly understanding why I hadn’t been able to work out the dress code when I’d beenstanding outside. Apparently, once you were inside, you didn’t need clothes at all. “Oh wow. I don’t think this is for me.”
Bliss caught my hand. “I freaked out the first time too. But you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. Just come check it out.”
“I think I have too many clothes on.”
“You could take some off if you want to—”
There was no way in hell I was taking off my outfit and walking around this place in suck-me-in underpants that came up beneath my breasts. Not to mention the ratty bra I’d plucked from my washing pile because it was comfortable, and I hadn’t planned on anyone but me seeing it.
I must have had a horrified look on my face.
Bliss was quick to reply. “Or not! What you’re wearing is fine. Just come in. You’ll see. Not everyone is an exhibitionist.”
She dragged me through the other side of the coatroom.
I didn’t know what I’d been expecting. Maybe a dark room with dirty things happening in the shadows, leering eyes watching me, and hands that came from dark corners.
But a Psychos sex party was nothing like that.
The big room was beautiful, with dim lighting and sultry music. Huge gold cages were spread across the space, performances already happening in each that had my eyes bulging. A single woman dancing without a stitch of clothing was the tamest of the bunch. Each cage got progressively more erotic as Bliss led me through the room, a woman riding a man’s cock in cagetwo. A threesome happening in cage three, which felt fitting.
