Callum yawned again and rested his head on his pillow with a soft smile.
Jack’s heart ached to be close to him.
“We’ll talk soon, kitten. Text me if you want to after you’re up.”
“Okay, I will.”
Jack clicked to end the call and closed his laptop. He often thought he’d gotten in over his head with Callum. When he’d decided to look for something online, he hadn’t meant for it to be anything serious. Maybe something to pass the time that happened to include a few orgasms.
But then there was Callum. So sweet, and young, and perfect, and everything Jack would want in a partner. Except Callum was in California, and Jack was in New York. He thought sometimes about taking a vacation and flying out to see Callum, to meet his sweet, little kitten, but he always smashed that thought back into his brain.
Things were working fine the way they were. Callum hadn’t asked for more, so Jack wouldn’t either. Besides, Callum had been clear when they started talking the month before that online was what he wanted. He didn’t want to commit to the trappings of an in-person relationship, so every time Jack thought about being with Callum physically, he bit his tongue and moved away from the idea.
Later, in the shower, he rested his back against the wall, letting the hot water cascade down his face, matting his hair to his forehead. He was assaulted with memories of Callum licking his cum from his fingers, and in response, Jack fisted his own cock and bucked his hips against his hand.
In his mind, Callum dragged that little pink tongue of his across the swollen crown of Jack’s dick, teasing and pulling an orgasm from deep inside him. Jack would twine his fingers through Callum’s hair and hold him, taking over and fucking his mouth until he came with a groan.
Instead, Jack’s cum washed down the drain and his cock flopped heavily against his thigh. With a sigh, Jack washed himself and stepped out of the shower. He toweled off and pulled on a pair of jeans, tugged a red V-neck shirt over his head, and shoved his feet into a pair of unlaced boots.
Picking up his phone, he had a waiting text from Callum, his sleepy looking face buried against the pillow, no doubt an indicator that he’d gone to bed like Jack had told him. Smiling, Jack tucked his phone into his pocket, collected his wallet and keys then locked up the apartment, taking the elevator down to the street.
Not surprisingly, Jack was the first one to arrive at the restaurant. He grabbed a booth and slid into one side, ordering a coffee while he waited. When the waitress came to fill his cup for the second time, Jack put in food orders for himself and his friends.
“Traffic was shit,” Bowie groused, dropping into the seat across from Jack and sliding in to make room for Joseph who was right behind him.
“You should live closer,” Jack suggested helpfully, holding his mug out toward a passing waitress for a refill.
“I’m picking the place next time.”
“You absolutely are not,” Jack retorted.
“You’re not my Daddy, Jack,” Bowie reminded him, unrolling his napkin and smoothing it across his lap.
Jack barked out a laugh and mixed some sugar into his coffee.
“You’d spend all your time alone in the corner if I was your Daddy.”
"I definitely would do no such thing,” Bowie reproached with a laugh.
“Yeah, guys. I get it. The two of you are dommy-doms. Can we order now?” Joseph shoved Bowie in the arm.
“I ordered before you got here. You were taking too long,” Jack assured them both.
Bowie shoved Joseph back, poured some cream into his coffee, smashing the little plastic container between his fingers and dropping it onto the table.
“How long are you in town for?” Jack asked Bowie.
“I fly out tomorrow.”
Joseph frowned slightly.
“How long are you there for this time?” Jack asked.
Bowie’s job had opened a new office in Kentucky less than a year before, and he’d been doing a considerable amount of traveling between the city and Louisville.
“I don’t know.” Bowie stirred his coffee a little aimlessly and cast a sideways look across the table at Jack.
“You were gone two weeks last time. You just got back into town on Thursday,” Joseph grumbled.
