“You don’t just get to piss all over her and claim her as yours,” Toby mutters.
“Oh yeah?” I ask, turning around to see him still being restrained by Nico. “Watch me, motherfucker.”
“Seb,” Theo hisses.
“What? I saw her first,” I deadpan.
“Yeah, don’t we fucking know it.”
We walk in silence toward the building, and only a few minutes later Alex pulls into the car park and jogs to catch up with us.
“What’s going on?” he asks, clearly sensing the tension.
“Stella fucking Doukas happened,” Theo deadpans. “Toby wants her.”
“Oh fuck.” He glances over his shoulder. “How’s that going?”
“Shut the fuck up. She’s mine.”
“You don’t actually want her though, do you?”
“No. But I sure as fuck don’t want Toby anywhere fucking near her.”
“I don’t think you need to worry about Toby exposing just how much of a cunt you are. Something tells me she already knows.”
“Wait,” Alex spits, making the two of us stop, “why are you bleeding?” he asks, glancing at my throat.
“Our princess is pretty fucking handy with a knife as well as a gun,” I say as a smirk curls at my lips and my cock swells at the memory.
“Galen’s fucking trained her, hasn’t he?”
“Damn right he has. Maybe he’s not entirely fucking stupid. He knew she was going to come up against us eventually. He’s made her his personal fucking soldier,” I explain.
“What the fuck is he playing at? And why the hell is the boss protecting them?” Alex murmurs the exact kind of thoughts that were running through my head as I laid in bed last night, listening to Toby snoring his arse off.
“Fucked if I know,” I mutter, storming toward the building, more than ready for the distraction of class to start. Not that I really think for a second that I’m going to be able to get her out of my head. Or the fact that she’s got my fucking knife. My father’s knife.
“Seb,” a high-pitched voice says the second we step into the common room. “You never called me back,” Teag whines, stepping up to me and running her hands up my chest before linking them behind my neck.
“Because I didn’t want to talk to you,” I say. She texted at some point last night, but after all the shit I’d already dealt with, the last thing I needed was her whining in my ear about some bullshit that happened at gym practice. I already know who she’d have been moaning about, because it seems that it’s not only me that Stella has made an enemy of.
And she’s also the only reason I allow Teag to remain pressed against my body, because her hate-filled stare burns into my skin.
She’s here somewhere, I just haven’t discovered where yet.
“Seven o’clock,” Theo whispers, knowing exactly what I need.
Pressing my hand against Teag’s lower back to press her body tight against mine, I glance in her direction.
Exactly as I was expecting, she’s glaring right at me with her curvy legs stretched out in front of her and her skirt riding high.
My teeth grind at the thought of her being bare beneath and showing every motherfucker in Knight’s Ridge what she’s hiding.
Sitting back in her seat, she crosses her arms across her chest, a smug smile curling up one side of her mouth.
“Mate, you’re in fucking trouble,” Theo mutters.
“Nothing I can’t handle,” I say as Teag’s lips connect with my neck.
