“Um, okay.” I pull the dress up a little bit so I can walk, then I flip open the curtains.

Skye almost chokes on her drink, McKenna fans herself, and Ariel looks in either awe or disgust.

“It’s perfect,” Ever whispers.

I turn to the mirror, and I have to agree. I feel like a sexy princess in this.

“Oh dear lord, the guys will be beside themselves,” McKenna snickers.

“Shane might not let her leave the house.” Skye chuckles.

“Nor will Memphis,” Ever agrees, “but that’s what we’re here for.”

“You really think it’s beautiful?”

“Girl, you’re going to give them a heart attack.” Skye laughs. “In a good way.”

“We’ll take it,” Ever tells the lady at the counter, and she nods.

I try to look at the price tag, but Ivy pulls it off before I can.

“Hey.”

“Nothing for you to worry about.” She helps me to the back and out of the dress, then hangs it up as I pull on my clothes.

“Shoes?” I guess I need shoes.

“We were thinking barefoot,” she tells me.

“Huh?”

“We’re moving it to a special place. A new residence that’s going up. The man who built it put in a pond with a beach. It’s perfect.”

“Who owns it?” Who would want a television show shooting on their property?

She shrugs.

“Sal even worked it out so you can stay there the night before.”

“Really?”

“Yes, take your swimsuit.”

“Alright.”

“I’m glad you’re going to become my stepmom,” I tell her after a few minutes.

“I’m happy you are going to be my daughter,” she says. Not stepdaughter. Daughter.

“McKenna picked your shoes, and Memphis has some jewelry. But you’ll get all that on your big day.” She hugs me.

“Thank you.” I hug her back.

“Anytime.” She takes my dress and goes to the counter.

“Here.” Skye hands me a plate loaded with sushi.

“I won’t turn this down.” I smirk.
