“We’ll finish this tonight.” He smiled wickedly and just that simple gesture made heat pull in my belly.

CHAPTER 17

The larger garage wasL-A-R-G-E.

It was in the back of the house, at basement level. It was the size of two basketball courts and had three wide automatic doors instead of one like the smaller one. Better yet, seven different ah-mazing cars took residence under its roof.

My jaw hung open as I walked around admiring their perfection. There were three classics and two modern cars.

“You’ve had these all along, and you didn’t tell me?” I asked Eric. I felt betrayed.

He shrugged as if the cars were an afterthought to him. It must really sucked to be thatfilthy rich.

He had a 1960’s Jaguar E-Type, a Mercedes Gullwing with the cool doors that lift up, a Lincoln Continental convertible, and an Aston Martin. Add to that a Lamborghini Aventador and a freaking Czinger. He did love sports cars! I gravitated toward the last one, and admired its aerodynamic lines.

“What’s this baby’s top speed?” I asked, caressing the car’s slick top. It was platinum with black accents.

“About 250,” Eric said.

“That’s a dope spoiler,” I said.

“You’d better quit or you’re going to make Jake jealous,” Rosalina said.

I shook my head. “Doubt it.” I pointed at Jake who was salivating over the Lamborghini.

“Let’s clear all this clutter.” Damien waved a hand at the cars.

Eric flipped him the bird but walked toward a set of hooks on the wall to retrieve the keys and press a set of buttons that opened the garage doors. All three rose smoothly to reveal a narrow wooded road I’d never noticed before—not even during our outside training sessions.

“I’ll drive the Czinger,” I said, wiggling my finger for the keys.

Eric handed me all the keys and fobs. “You can drive all of them.”

I squealed like a kid.

“You’ll have to park them in a line.”
