Page 96 of The Retaliation You Deliver
“It was nice to meet you Mrs.—” I hesitate because I have a feeling she won’t want to be called Mrs. Dunn.
“It’s Maddie, sweetie. Have a good day, both of you.”
With his hand on the small of my back, Leon pushes me from the house.
“I’m sorry.”
“What for? She seems nice.”
“She is, she’s just a little over excited about you.”
“She knows about me?” I ask. I saw the shock on Maddie’s face, but something tells me it wasn’t shock because she didn’t know I existed.
“I told her about you,” he confesses, pulling his passenger door open for me. “She knows who you are, your… connections.”
“Oh?” I breathe, surprised he told her that much.
“I didn’t give her details, but she’s not stupid. She knows I was up to something when we first met.”
“You mean, she doesn’t think the sun shines out of your ass and that you treat women with the respect they deserve?” I ask, quirking a brow at him.
“Oh she knows there’s no sunshine here, baby. I’ve been only dark clouds for years.”
Despite being more than capable of doing it myself, Leon grabs the seatbelt and reaches over me to strap me in.
“And as for treating you right. How many orgasms did you have upstairs?”
“I’m not sure that’s something a mom would deem her son worthy of any woman.”
“Well she should because I think I treated you damn well. Play your cards right and it might not even be the end for the day.”
“Is that right?” I ask, unsure if my body will be able to take any more. My lady parts are beyond sore right now, although that doesn’t seem to stop them clenching at his low whispered promise.
“We’ll see. I might not be able to get it up after all that earlier.”
Reaching out, I cup him over his jeans.
“Yeah, that seems like a real issue,” I mutter, squeezing him until his eyelids lower and a low growl rumbles from deep in his throat.
“Careful, Red. You really wouldn’t want my mom to watch me rail you on the hood of my car only minutes after meeting you.”
“You wouldn’t?” Although my stomach flips because I know full well that he probably would.
“You really want to try me?”
Thankfully, my stomach chooses that moment to grumble once again, and with a laugh, Leon ducks out of the car and closes the door behind him.
“Anyone would think you’d worked up an appetite,” he says with a smirk, starting the ignition and backing out of the driveway.
“Yeah, something like that.”
“Did I completely ruin your plans for the day?” he asks, thankfully changing the topic of conversation.
“Yep,” I state. “I have a date.”
His grip on the wheel tightens. “I’m sorry, you what?”
“Have a date?”
