Page 94 of The Retaliation You Deliver
“I don’t—” A sob rips from my throat. “I don’t want to lose you,” I confess.
His eyes shutter, emotion filling them as his Adam’s apple bobs as he swallows.
“Macie,” he breathes, rolling us so I end up pinned beneath him, his forearms caging my head in. “I’m not going anywhere. You’re not going to lose me.”
“G-good. Because I kind of like you.”
“Oh yeah?” he asks, a smile twitching at his lips. “I thought you hated me.”
“I should. But I don’t. I can’t.”
“I know the feeling, but I can’t either, baby.”
His lips find mine once more before his hips roll, making me gasp.
“Let me show you how you deserve to be treated.”
And that’s the last time his lips leave mine until we’re both fighting for breath after finding our simultaneous releases. But this time there’s nothing hurried, no hate, no anger… just want, need, hunger and dare I say it… love.

We’re still laying in his bed, our limbs entwined a long time later when my stomach growls. No words have been said between us, but we don’t need them.
Everything we needed to say has been said either via words or with our actions.
“Hungry?” he asks, pulling his head from the crook of my neck where he’d been resting.
“What gave me away?” I ask with a laugh as my stomach growls again.
“Come on,” he says, untangling himself from me and rolling off the bed. “I’m taking you out for food.”
My eyes leisurely run down the length of his naked body, lingering a little too long on his hard length that I’d been feeling pressed against my thigh for a while. He really is insatiable.
“Baby, looking at me like that isn’t going to get you food faster.”
“I know. I just… do you know how hot you are?”
He bursts out laughing.
“I’m glad you think so. At the beginning there for a bit, I didn’t think you’d noticed.” He winks and I throw a pillow at him.
“Arrogant jerk.”
“You love it,” he jokes, throwing it back at me then spinning on his heels and walking toward his dresser, his fine ass on full display.
“Yeah,” I mutter, my eyes locked on his peachy behind. “I kinda do.”
He shoots me a look over his shoulder and laughs.
“I’d get up while you can, Red,” he warns, stepping into a clean pair of boxers and pulling them up his legs.
I slide to the side of his bed, my muscles pulling and aching in the most delicious way as I push to stand and search for my discarded clothing.
Once I’m dressed and have attempted to put myself back together, I walk over to the door where Leon’s loitering.
“Ready?” I ask him, pushing my hair back from my face.
“Yeah,” he says, but he doesn’t make a move.
