“When souls know each other in life and are here together, they see each other as they have known them on Earth. Like those groups of souls over there.”
Daemon pointed to the group of three glowing souls surrounding the one book on the pedestal.
“That is a group of souls who probably know each other on Earth as well and are here to find answers to a question that concerns them all. Sometimes people can do that if they are highly in tune with their intuition. Some people can travel here together and find information that better helps them in life: couples or soulmates, families, best friends. Most people are not able to do this, but a select few can. In fact, not many people on Earth are even aware the Akashic Records exist, and therefore it isn’t common practice for many to come visit here at all.
Most people discover it by chance during meditation, or some are spiritual teachers who train for this.
Others are just higher-level souls who are more in touch with their true Soul Self while on Earth and therefore have an easier time remembering this place, and are more capable of crossing through this plane. ”
Lorelei looked up at him, still incredibly confused. “What do you mean higher level souls?”
Daemon sighed and rubbed his hand on the back of his neck like he usually does when an answer is hard to explain.
“It’s a bit complicated but the easiest way is that each person, or soul, is at a different level of existence.
The more lives you live, the more experience you gain as a soul.
With each life you choose, you choose it to try and learn a particular lesson to better enhance yourself- just like how on Earth people will go to therapy to work on their past trauma or start working out to feel healthier in their body.
How can you do things to grow as a person?
Well souls do that too, but over lifetimes.
And the obstacles and challenges each soul faces are totally based on each individual.
So if a soul has a tendency to pick lives with negative, self-destructive habits like alcoholism or drug abuse.
They will continue to have similar lives until they figure out the root reason why they keep facing this problem; it could be something like not having enough self-worth or discipline to resist temptation.
Anyways, the more challenges you overcome in life to better yourself as a soul being, you move up levels.
And don’t think it’s like one level is better than another.
It just means that that soul is closer to reunification with God…
.or some call it Source. Bottom line is it's the place of all creation, the very beginning and end of existence. It's where we all come from and where we all go when our time as souls has ended. And when that time comes is totally different for every soul. It’s a hard thing to explain because it’s the basic concept I know of.
I was never a high enough angel to know the complete inner workings of Universe things like this; I only know a baseline of what happens.
But in the end, it's said nobody truly knows what happens or how it works other than God themself. And there is an extreme hierarchical line to him; I have never met an angel high enough to have a personal connection with him other than ArchAngel Michael—and even his, I have heard, is limited.”
Lorelei took a final glance at the bundle of souls gathered there and tried to take in the new information Daemon was revealing.
It made sense. To Lorelei, religion was a complicated subject growing up because to her, at the core, she always believed there must be truth; even a small amount to every religion and belief system.
The idea that a soul could possibly live multiple lives, was incredibly compelling to her.
It was hard not to wonder if she had lived any previous life before, or if the same concept worked with angels or demons.
Adding that to the prospect that even in life, souls want to grow and learn to become the best version of themselves, made the afterlife and purpose of life in general, seem less scary and finite.
There were chances to continue learning, continue helping others, and to Lorelei—that was a beautiful thought.
It raised so many more questions but she knew they neither had the time nor was Daemon perhaps privy to that information anyway.
Daemon guided her through the throngs of bookshelves, seeming to go on for ages.
When they finally turned to one, he began scanning over the books until he pulled one out and handed it to her.
The book was light as air; it almost felt nonexistent.
But it was warm to the touch; it felt familiar.
The cover of the book at first looked to be white and transparent in nature, the edges and lining glowing similarly to that from behind the door when she entered the hallway to get here.
She traced her fingers around these beautifully intricate letters that went across the cover, the same as those on the doorway here.
Daemon came closer and pointed to the letters.
“Recognize any of these symbols? Eh, perhaps not many since we didn’t have much time to study. This is your name in Enochian. This book is all about you: your lives before, your future. Just focus for a moment on the words and you will then be able to read it.”
Daemon’s voice trailed off which suddenly made Lorelei realize that her heart was racing a mile a minute inside of her chest. After a few more seconds of observing the words, they slowly changed to English, and she read her name: Lorelei Alexander.
She had a sudden sensation also bubbling up within her; rising higher and higher; but she couldn’t pinpoint the feeling.
The fact that she was holding in her hands the very thing that would tell her who she really was, what she was meant to do, and why this destiny had been chosen for her long ago—was almost more anticipation and anxiety than she could handle.
Her hands began to shake, causing the book to nearly fall from her hands.
Daemon softly placed his hands beneath hers to help support the book.
His thumb rubbed gingerly along the back of her hand as he steadied his voice.
“Lorelei, it’s okay. This is what we came here for, remember? No matter what that book says, you will at least have some answers. Good or bad…”
Daemon cleared his throat, seeming to regret his phrasing choice.
“What I mean to say is that no matter the outcome of this, I will be right by your side. I will protect you and love you. Endlessly. You are not alone in this.”
Taking a deep breath and attempting to steady herself, she opened the book fast, like ripping a band-aid off to get it over with sooner.
Once looking upon the contents of the book, she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
She was expecting pages and pages; chapters of her soul’s journey, lifetimes to assess like so many other souls.
But instead, what she found was one single chapter; and it was marked as the date of her birthday.
December 31st. She flipped quickly through the pages, her eyes scanning the text wildly as, just like the cover, the text changed from Celestial speak to English.
But the chapter was no more than 100 pages long…
not long at all if you were to have lived as many lives as it seems most souls do.
Because, the conclusion was clear; she was living her first life right now. She never reincarnated before. She had no prior lives as a soul. This was her only life to have reference from.
There would be no help from past experiences.
Lorelei’s breathing intensified again. Moving back to the first page, it resembled a biography page or “stats” page: physical features, birthday, where she was born, and more. But it was the “Parents” section that made her heart stop.
It was divided into two sections. The first was her parent’s names: William Alexander, her dad. And Amelia Alexander, her mom. But beside each name in parenthesis was “Earth.”
Earth? What does that mean?
Lorelei finally looked below it, seeing that it was the general information she already knew about her parents: their background, careers, and even the dates and causes of death.
Finally looking to the second section, her breath caught in the back of her throat making her feel like she would choke.
She dropped the book entirely and fell to her knees.
Daemon rushed to her and grabbed her shoulders, trying to get her to look at him.
But she was in shock. And the information from the second column was repeating over and over inside her head, she could hardly hear Daemon saying her name.
Daemon reached down to look at the book, and he too, couldn’t believe his eyes.
Reading opposite the information of her parents, the ones who she knew as her parents, was this:
Celestial Parents:
ArchAngel Ariel, Mother
Lucifer, Father
Lucifer, father. Lucifer, father. Lucifer, father…
Over and over the words rang in her mind like the tolling of a bell. None of it made any sense to her. None of it could possibly be true. But yet, here they were, in the records of everything ever known.
And now, she knew .
She couldn’t bring herself to keep looking at the book.
She only had strength enough to softly ask Daemon to read it for her, and relay back the information he found.
He didn’t respond other than a nod. His eyes were swirling with equal confusion as she watched him read the contents.
Holding her knees against her, she waited.
What only took Daemon a few minutes to read the books in its entirety—felt like a century of time had passed to Lorelei.
But at last Daemon closed the book, placed it back on the shelf, and stood silently for a moment before speaking.
