Lucifer
Loud, thumping music filled the rounded room that was filled to the brim with sofas, floor cushions and poles.
In the flashing lights which seemed to coordinate with the beat of the music, one can see many bodies throughout the room.
Most were dancing, moving their bodies seductively to the music.
Some were huddled around small tables with various instruments and powdered concoctions they were passing around.
Some were in the darker corners of the room where the light barely reached them, enough to see bare skin and hear muffled moans.
Around several poles were Succubi and Incubi dancing about seated demons who were yelling obscenities or trying to get them to come closer, which many did.
Many would look at the scene and sum it up to any normal nightclub.
Biggest difference, this was a nightclub in Hell; and Lucifer’s personal favorite to frequent.
Lucifer was seated in the back of the club with one Succubus he’d been on and off with for several millina seated on his lap, curling a long dagger-like finger through her purple hair that shimmered when the light caught it. Her name was Catvynia, and she was Lucifer’s main lover.
She was a decent companion; she would come to Lucifer any time day or night, even to sit and keep him company as he worked on battle strategies.
She had a good sense of humor but knew when to hold her tongue.
Catvynia over the years became one of his greatest confidants, and although he could never say he loved her, he did find her presence pleasant for the most part.
But more often than not, a lot of their time was spent doing more…
destructive things. Meaning they usually broke several things when they were sleeping together—as sex with a Succubus or Incubus was always a thrilling experience.
Succubi and Incubi’s jobs were to lure men and women to Hell’s forces through use of their sexual prowess and kinks—mostly while humans were sleeping.
The Incubi were the male counterparts to the Succubus.
They come to human’s in their dreams to seduce them and promise fanciful meetings as well as other lies such as powers, immortality, a place in Lucifer’s army by his side, a place as their mates, etc.
But they were good fun for demons as well, as they are trained from conception on this particular type of seduction that allows them to take form, shape, or particular fancies and abilities best suited for what lover they are with at a certain time.
They can change and adapt to be the perfect partner to who they are seducing enough to even change into the form of the person’s most desired traits or looks.
Their ability to manipulate is also especially well-trained and mastered in comparison to other demons.
Succubi and Incubi spend most of their time convincing humans to not only be their sexual partners, which drains a human’s energy, allowing them to be more vulnerable and moldable, to be their puppets of destruction.
Being so irresistible to humans, seeing as they can be whoever the human desires most, they convince the humans easily that what they have is love and therefore, the human is in a sort of trance-like state, willing to do whatever the Succubus asks of them.
Theft, manipulation of others, and even murder.
These particular demons bring a lot of poor souls over just by merely sitting back and watching them wreak chaos in the name of “love.” For Lucifer, they were more used for… distraction.
Distraction from the war. Distraction from the pain. From the loss.
Not that Catvynia was his only lover. To his left was his 2nd most frequented visitor, an Incubus named Xinlin, who was different from Catvynia in that he was more quiet, but more ruthless in the bedroom.
He didn’t speak much with words, but with his eyes he could captivate you with a wink.
Beside him were his lovers Syleth and Nyried.
Syleth was a Succubus who was the newest in their motley group and the least experienced, which Lucifer enjoyed from time to time.
Nyried was one of the oldest Incubi in Hell, but looked to be in his 30s.
He was bigger than the others and was the only other dominant lover Lucifer would allow around him other than his good self.
Sometimes they would do things all together as a group, but Lucifer got frustrated easily and could usually only tolerate one of them at a time.
There was the occasional jealous spat between them, and Lucifer had a different kind of relationship with each of them that he didn’t want to intermix much unless he was just in a particular mood for the chaos it ensured.
It entertained him, to watch them bicker over him.
It typically ended in a rougher fuck for all of them so it was found to be a fun game every now and then.
Xinlin was rubbing the leg of Lucifer that Catvynia wasn’t sitting on, while handing a cigarette over to Lucifer who took a long drag of it and blew the smoke out into rings above their heads.
Catvynia giggled and tried to suck the smoke into her own mouth unsuccessfully, Lucifer patting her ass with a small smile.
The smile was like a cue for Catvynia, and she leaned down and began running lingering kisses down along Lucifer’s cheek, chin and chest. With every other kiss, you could hear a purring sound from Catvynia and she proceeded to sink her vampire-like teeth into his throat, which made him let out a low growl.
Eyes rolling back into his head, he allowed the pleasure from the pain to run its course through his body.
Still allowing Catvynia to leave playful nips, he grabbed Xinlin’s hand that rested upon his leg and pulled him in, biting his lower lip and letting the blood that came, drip between their mouths as their tongues intertwined.
Blood and saliva tinged with various alcoholic beverages made for an intoxicating mix.
Oh, how Lucifer loved this part. The semi-mind numbing drinks, constant teasing and lingering back and forth, it was one of the only times he felt free from the constant duties. He let his senses run the show, and tonight, he felt it would last longer— he desperately needed it to.
Catvynia stood and lifted her hand to the both of them; she was going to take them both someplace more private.
As Lucifer gave a subtle hand squeeze or nod to his other lovers, indicating it would be a night shared by all, a slam of the club door broke the moment and Lucifer sat up abruptly, pushing both Catvynia and Xinlin out of his way as he watched a few of his guards walk briskly over to him.
The first guard who appeared before him was his 2nd in command, Valac.
A tall, slender demon with greyish-red skin, yellowy-strained eyes, and curled horns at his temples like that of a ram’s.
He was the brainier of his command and the one who helped more with strategy than with actual battle.
But he was a loyal servant, one that had shown his loyalty several times over the years and one Lucifer trusted.
Usually, Valac had a calm demeanor, but now his yellow eyes were full of panic and this immediately sent waves of rage throughout Lucifer’s body, tensing his shoulders.
Valac stood and bowed slightly before him and rushed, nearly stumbling over his words.
“My lord, I apologize for disrupting your evening. But I have some news we must discuss about the mission you ordered. May we go elsewhere to speak?”
Lucifer sat up, and Catvynia joined Xinlin on the couch, still sitting next to Lucifer, watching him intently.
Lucifer shook his head.
“If it is so important, speak plainly. We have no time to waste. Tell me now what you must. I have other business to attend to this evening, so please, don’t waste my time further than you already have, Valac.”
Valac swallowed hard and nodded in return, hesitating and clearly uncomfortable in the club environment. Clearing his throat to strengthen his voice above the blaring music, he finally spoke.
“The mission failed, sire. The angel and the human girl are still on the move and all of our agents were found dead at the scene. We sent a crew out to investigate when the agreed upon communication time was missed. After this discovery, I personally went back to the Oracle Magnus myself, and by our usual torture methods, I was able to inquire the assailants next location. I left him alive, in case we have to use him again. They will arrive at Stonehenge before the morning.”
Valac paused, wanting to see Lucifer’s reaction, but when his master continued to stare absently ahead of him, he continued.
“Another thing…your son we found, was not one among the dead. A scout was sent to follow the group to Stonehenge, and saw…well…”
Finally, Lucifer laughed loudly.
“So the poor boy was taken prisoner. Wouldn’t have pegged Daemon as such a man, but doesn’t surprise me in the least. Samuel was always too weak.”
Valac coughed awkwardly.
“Actually…..the scout saw Samuel, well...laughing. From what it seems, sir…he has joined their side.”
By this point, Catvynia leaned over to Lucifer and stroked his arm.
“I’m sure the scout was mistaken, Valac.” She glared at him. “Despite how pathetic Samuel is, he still wouldn’t betray his own father–”
Before Catvynia could finish her sentence, Lucifer, without looking, grabbed her throat.
She began sputtering on her words, holding her hands over his own, choking violently.
But Lucifer made no facial expression, he made no sound or reaction to her feeble attempt to free herself from his grasp.
He finally looked up at Catvynia’s face, tears rolling down her cheeks.
With a graveness, Lucifer finally spoke.
“You underestimate my only child’s will to defy me, Catvynia.
After all our time spent together, I would’ve thought you’d know better than to not believe my 2nd in command.
The man who saved my own life with his bare hands.
The one who has personally seen my failure of an offspring in his classes struggle to grasp the very concept of our war.
The boy has always been a nuisance, a disappointment.
One I have often loathed over to you during our nightly meetings, Catvynia.
Do you pay no attention to your master and lover’s plights, that you know so little about me at all? ”
Her face was turning purple while she was attempting to gasp out an apology.
Lucifer only looked upon her, showing no emotion to his old, longtime lover and confidant as he snapped her neck, and threw her body upon the sofa.
Xinlin muffled a yell, holding his hand over his mouth as he looked at the limp body of his longtime friend.
He soon gathered himself and walked slowly away from the scene, Nyriad and Syleth close behind him.
They said nothing in defense of the Succubus—for the fear they would meet the same fate.
Looking over her body, Lucifer felt nothing.
Despite the time they’d spent together, she was only ever a means to an end.
She was only ever a pass-time, a way to forget briefly of the true pain and fury that lived at a constant arm's length within him.
He turned to Valac, who stood stoically looking down at the floor.
“Gather the rest of the court. I believe it is time to retrieve my good-for-nothing son. I believe his sheer desire to disobey me has pushed my tolerance level to its threshold.”
And with that, he walked out of the club. The rest of the demons within it staring as Valac followed timidly. Catvynia’s eyes still open from the shock and sudden-ness of her death, stared unblinking after her master.
