A pair of pliers appear in front of me, and without looking to see who it is who brought them to me, I use them to grip Greco's tongue. Pulling the muscle out as far as I can, I use my knife to slice through it. Carlos screams the whole time; it's to be expected, and I find enjoyment in the sound of it.

"There. Now, you will never disrespect another person again—not that you're going to live long to do so anyway."

"Jarek… How will you find out why he killed your parents?" Lily asks, placing her hand on my shoulder.

I'm still straddling Greco's chest as I gaze up at her.

"He did it for the power. He knew my father was next in line, and I was supposed to die in the fire as well, but I got out."

"It would have all worked out had he not pulled that good-for-nothing whore of a niece into it. She fucked everything up!" Rossi sneers from where he stands with Joey's gun still at his head.

"You knew about it, too?" Zita gasps.

"Oh, wake up, figlia! This is what we do…" Rossi argues.

"We'll talk about this later, figlia. Tell your littlefidanzatoto remove his gun," Rossi orders his daughter, but she only shakes her head and turns her back on him.

"It seems so, Rossi," Joey replies to Rossi's question when Zita remains silent. "Just so you know, I plan on changing her name to Lonzo really soon."

I knew my friend planned on asking the woman to marry him, but I didn't expect him to announce it like this. Before another scene breaks out, I give out orders.

"Joey, take Rossi to The Reformatory and do whatever needs to be done. I expect you to carry it out. The sooner, the better. Koval and Elliot, take this asshole out to the back shed. I'll be there shortly to finish him off."

"Yes, Sir," they all say simultaneously.

I pull my phone out and text Lonzo, letting him know that we're good and to send Owens in to tend to Jackson. The rest of my men spread out through the mansion to ensure there are no more men inside.

Lily walks over to Heidi, takes our son from her friend's arms, and brings him over to me. Cupping the back of Lily's head, I pull her in for another kiss, this one much longer than the last.

"Pauper?" I say when I break free of her lips.

"Yes, Jarek?"

"Have I told you how much I love you?"

"Mm, yes, but you can tell me again."

"Just so you know, as soon as we have this mess all cleaned up, you and I will be married. I will not wait any longer to have you legally be mine."

"Aren't I already yours?" she asks, grinning.

"Just because you know your place doesn't mean you are legally mine, but we will make it official," I smirk.

"I know my place, alright. It's bent over your knee with your handprint all over my backside," she teases.

I'm instantly hard.
