I hummed, “Sure. I should thank you though. Are you coming to see the band?” He replied, “Blue Moon is going.” So…

no. Alpha Theo answered, “Correct.” I groaned, “Ugh! How do people have inside their head thoughts?” He laughed, “See you around, Melanie.” I frowned as Alpha Theo left I wanted to help him and Lucas.

KJ commented, “You can’t fix that particular relationship.

” I turned asking, “Uhh what?” KJ raised an eyebrow, “That was a very calculating look on your face.” Sierra added, “Plus you muttered about fixing their relationship.” KJ chuckled, “And that.” I grumbled, “I bet I could do…I have centuries…Haley is here….plus me… I mean…statistically speaking her and I could solve that issue together.” Sierra snorted.

I walked over to Yellow Hills with Sierra while KJ trailed behind us. The Rebels practiced a little bit before Sierra and Addison grabbed me while Paige snorted. Paige played bass in our band. Addison led us into the main house into a guest room.

Addison smiled announcing, “I got here a little earlier than everyone because we have outfits for this performance.” I raised an eyebrow reminding her, “We usually just wear whatever.” Addison smiled, “But now we have mates to rile up.” I laughed asking, “What did you do?” She led me over to my outfit.

I snorted, “Fishnets?” Addison demanded, “You will put on the outfit.”

I shrugged and put on a tight white t-shirt with a black and blue checkered skirt with suspenders. I left them hanging down. I put on the fishnets with the heels they’d left out. Addison studied me then decided, “Let's add socks.” I replied, “Umm ok?” She handed me white socks with black stripes.

We were doing a sexy grunge look today. I put the heels back on. Addison squealed and clapped which meant I was ready outfit wise. The rest my friends were dressed similarly without t-shirts. They had camisoles.

Sierra dragged me into the bathroom and did my make up while Paige chanted over my hair. When they stepped back, I gasped, “Oh my god. My brothers… will yell at you guys.” Addison snorted, “Jase wouldn’t dare yell at me or my friends.”

I had red streaks in my hair and my makeup looked pretty fierce too. I looked them over and laughed. I said, “They will absolutely say something... and probably not just about me.” Paige smirked saying, “It was my idea.” I laughed, “Of course it was. ”

Xander linked me, “Where are you guys?” I answered, “Coming.” I told my friends, “It’s time for us to go on.” Addison snorted, “Umm we are getting popped behind the stage.” I questioned, “By whom?” Cassie popped in answering, “Me.”

She shouted when she saw us, “OH MY GOD! I love everything about this. My big brother is going to lose his mind.” Cassie grabbed us and popped us to the guys.

Mason choked on his water. He looked at Paige accusingly, “I know you were behind this.” Paige tilted her head innocently, “Who me?” Hendrick snorted, “Yes, you.”

We walked out onstage. There was a lot of cheering, but also a lot of growls I recognized. The ones that stood out to me were Xander, Tristan, Jason, and my dad. Xander’s had a different tone to it... that I was certain my brothers recognized if I did.

Addison spoke into the microphone, “Well hello Yellow Hills and allied friends alike. It’s nice to finally make it to this area. A special shout out to the birthday girl, Allison Daniels, a future Luna. We are honored to play for you tonight. WE ARE THE REBELS!”

I began to play our first song. I had several solos throughout the night on guitar.

We were all laughing and having a great time.

Freya snickered, “I know you don’t see it, but glance at mate.

There’s a lustful fire in his eyes. Our family looks very proud too.

” I stole a glance and nearly missed a note.

Xander was staring at me hungrily. Meanwhile My family was looking at me with pride. I flushed and continued to play. We took an intermission. Mason put on a song for everyone to dance to through the speakers from our intermission playlist.

Addison and Sierra were trying to get me to dance with them. A group of teenagers from Black Mountain got in a circle around us. One smirked at me saying, “Show us what you got, Muffin Luna!” I laughed as they basically declared a dance off.

We traded moves until I spotted Xander hovering close by. I smirked when I saw he was wearing a baseball cap. I maneuvered myself closer to him and took his hat with a dance move. I rolled the hat up my arm onto my own head.

The teenagers and large group who’d gathered lost their minds screaming. Xander smirked at me, so I winked back. Addison laughed, “Let’s play the rest of our set.” She dragged me to the back of the stage. Paige slapped my shoulder shouting, “I AM SO PROUD OF YOU RIGHT NOW!”

I laughed asking, “For dancing? Or winning a dance off? I do that a lot... so… it’s not really a being proud or surprised moment.” Paige shook her head saying, “I don’t even care that you have no clue what you just did. Keep the hat on.”

I questioned, “Where else would I do with it?” Paige snickered, “Riling up an Alpha unintentionally. She’s so cute.

” I looked at Mason questioningly who said, “I’m not touching that.

” Hendrick snorted, “Ditto.” I shrugged, “I didn’t rile him up.

I took his hat… which is not even kind of the same… and it was a dance move.”

Sierra snorted, “Sure. Exactly, guys. She just took his hat.” I nodded, “I know.” Addison laughed and took me back onstage. We started the second half of our set. Sierra linked me, “Our mates are practically salivating.” I asked, “Are you going to tell me how taking his hat riled him up?”

Sierra snickered, “No, it’s adorable that you didn’t do it on purpose. You were just being your happy self. I haven’t seen you this happy since Switzerland, Mel.” I blushed. When we finished Cayden and Cassie were waiting on the backside of the stage.

I smiled greeting, “Hey, guys.” Cayden smirked, “Nice hat. Are you going to give it back?” I faked a gasp, “No it’s mine now. I got it fair and square.” Cayden threw his head back and laughed. Cassie handed me a drink. Ok?

She explained, “Alexander said you like cranberry vodka drinks. I got you thirty minutes and that required an act of god.” I tilted my head confused, “Huh?” Cassie snorted, “Go mingle and enjoy your thirty minutes sister in law of mine.” I nodded, “Sure.”

I walked out with my friends. Aunt MaryBeth and Aunt Melinda were waiting for us… or me. Freya said, “It’s us.” Dang it. I wanted to cringe but didn’t. They squealed, “You were SO good!” I smiled tightly saying, “Thanks, guys. ”

Melinda asked, “So, now that we all have mates we can do a triple date some time.” I nearly sighed in relief at their timeframe. I nodded, “Sure. Some time, we can all go out with our mates.” MaryBeth nudged me saying, “Just like we’d planned.” I nodded, “Yeah.” We’d had a lot of plans.

They were going to help me get ready for school dances. I was going to help them in turn learn some cool dance moves. I knew they went to theirs, but I never did. Haley popped over declaring, “I’m stealing my daughter in law. We are on a countdown, people.” MaryBeth and Melinda snickered.

Haley popped me away. I linked her, “Thanks.” She nodded, “I’d imagine you have other things you planned that didn’t happen.

” I nodded. Haley bumped my hip, “Don’t think about that shit tonight.

You are very talented and clearly have fun dancing and playing the guitar.

” I acknowledged, “I do.” She nodded, “Then don’t ever give those things up. ” I smiled, “I won’t.”

Someone cleared their throat, so I turned around. I felt myself pale. My Grandma Esther was behind us. Haley squeezed my hand and walked away. I downed my drink before saying, “Hello, Grandma Esther.” She fanned her face saying, “Ladybug, you are stunning.” I whispered, “Thanks.”

Grandma Esther pointed to some chairs, so I sat down. She studied me before declaring, “There is nothing in this world that would make me not love you. You are my grandpup. I may not agree with your choices or the things you do, but I will always love each and every one you.”

A drink was conjured into my hand. I took a big gulp.

I nodded “Ok.” Grandma Esther squeezed my hand, “I’m glad you still found things and people who make you smile.

Your grandpa tells me you are quite the shot, just like your grandma.

You always were my most talented grandpup at our shooting lessons. ”

I chugged my drink then asked, “Grandpa Ben said that….about me being a good shot?” Grandma Esther smiled like she had a secret. She added, “Yes, what you did here the other day was impressive. We will have to go to the range together again sometime.” I didn’t sigh in relief, but I wanted to.

I nodded, “We could do that.” The gun range was a safe place.

It required protective gear…. and shooting.

There were not a lot of heart to hearts happening on the gun range.

She smiled and got up. Grandma Esther said, “I’m sure we’ll chat again, but I wasn’t letting another day pass without seeing you and speaking my truth. ” She hugged me again then walked off.

I milled around and found TJ and Allison.

I smiled greeting, “Happy birthday, Allison.” She jumped into my arms for a hug.

Allison stepped back and squealed, “You’re so cool and awesome!

Isn’t she, TJ?” TJ smiled at her lovingly, “Of course she is. She’s my sister in law.

” I laughed, “I’m glad you guys think so. ”

Xander popped behind me. I knew it was him from the scent. My mate said, “Your thirty minutes are up. Now you’re mine.” TJ snorted as Xander popped us away, gripped my hips, and grinding into me. He was definitely ready for sexy time.

Freya purred, “Finally.” Finally? We were crazed sex people last night! Xander nipped my marking spot which made me shiver. He trailed his fingers along my neck whispering, “Alone at last.” I smirked. I had a feeling this was going to be another crazy night.
