Paige was still chanting, oblivious to her surroundings. Dax called over coms, “Melanie look at your mate, and take a deep breath. Your Xander absolutely wants you to keep breathing.” Melanie’s eyes found mine and she finally took a deep breath.
My fists were curled, and my nails were drawing blood.
Dylan snorted “Her Xander, how adorable.” He yelled, “Around these here parts we call him Moody Mini Alpha Prick. He’s working on the longer full title his dad has, just give him time.
We believe in him. He’ll rise to Moody Mini Saint God Alpha Prick status.
I just feel it. I speak for the collective group on that one as well. ”
Dax howled with laughter and even Abigial snickered.
She’d been stationed with him. I was focused on Melanie who was still looking at me I didn’t see where my Gamma’s mate was.
Celia growled at her, “It’s just been so quiet at home.
There has not been a single stabbing or gunshot wound.
Not a single one.” Melanie snorted, “You missed me, didn’t you? ”
Celia raised an eyebrow, “You have cracked ribs on that same side I told you to guard. You have scar tissue from them not allowing you to heal from being shot.” My mom sighed, “Well, I can fucking heal it now that I know about it.”
Melanie winced, “Uncracked ribs are for boring people.” I growled, “THE FUCK THEY ARE!” Oden growled in agreement. Celia rolled her eyes, “Pup, I swear to god you give me grey hair.” Melanie tapped her nose, “You love me. ”
Melanie then looked at Caine ordering, “Help me up.” He instantly put my mate on her feet, and she took several deep breaths. Celia sighed, “I suppose telling you not to do anything else would be a waste of time.” Melanie took her vest off and held her hand out for the rifle on Caine’s back.
She looked at Celia, “I’m glad you know that.
” Ceila groaned, “I just feel the gray growing into my hair and it will be your fault.” Melanie hummed, “Scientifically that’s not possible.
I checked your genetics. So you won’t get gray hair any time soon despite…
the constant claims you will get some because of me. ” Celia smirked shaking her head.
Melanie turned to look at Caine, “I’ll take the rest of the Hunters out. It’s not just rogues, he’s here.” Caine sighed, “Yeah, I figured he was.” I yelled, “HE WHO?!” Oden linked me, “Freya can sense an Alpha in the tree line that isn’t our ally. Another pack is here.” I growled, “WHAT?!”
I turned to Emmett, “Is Allister Thunders saying anything about another pack?” Emmett closed his eyes and linked Allister, they were good friends.
Sophia and Lexi had a lot of play dates with their sons.
Emmett said, “He’s looking…” Then he trailed off.
He shouted, “FUCK! His Warriors smell a pack now. Their scent was hidden by rogues.”
I snarled, “And my mate knows who it is. Great.” Gage muttered, “Sarcasm noted.” Emmett growled, “Any Alpha who thinks they can take over my territory because they have some dome fucking shit has got another damn think coming.” Yes, they did.
I turned to Corbin, “How long until we get in there?” Corbin was looking up at the roof of the house Melanie must have climbed.
Shots began to ring out. Corbin sighed, “Paige is moving pretty fast. Her friends have re-surrounded her in salt. That should make things faster, but as fast as your mate is snipping people off it could get dicey. Can we talk about her sniping abilities for five seconds?”
Cayden answered, “No.” Corbin sighed, “Ok then, as quick as Melanie is killing Hunters, I seriously doubt that we are getting in there before the rogues come out to fight.” I snarled, “FUCKING FABULOUS! SOMEONE HAD BETTER BE ALIVE WHEN I GET IN THERE BECAUSE I NEED TO KILL SOME PEOPLE! Why can’t the shadows take you inside? ”
Corbin answered, “The dome is Witch and Warlock magic, and they respect that. They also respect the hell out of Paige.” Fabulous.
Useless fucking shadows. I linked EJ, “If all those fuckers are dead when we get in there, I’m GOING to need you find me people to kill.
Like a lot of fucking people.” That statement had never been more true.
EJ nodded, “I can do that. We have an ally with rogue problems. You’d be just what they need to stop them.” I nodded knowing he was right since I was beyond pissed. These assholes had shot my mate. I’d seen her get shot. She literally dove in front of a bullet.
Melanie’s voice came over the coms, “Ok... the Hunters are taken out. Let’s get ready guys. Time to show these rogues who they are messing with. Then I get to go another round with the sore losing… not really Alpha, but he goes by the title.”
Caine snorted, “He goes by said title because he’s an Alpha, Mel.
” Melanie sighed, “Agree to disagree. He doesn’t deserve the title, therefore.
.. he’s not really an Alpha in my books…
which I have told him…many times.” I closed my eyes.
I’d get in there by god, and when I did Melanie and I would unleash hell.
