“You’re a good friend, Silas,” I tell him. “But I’m still holdin’ a grudge against you.”

He throws his head back and laughs. The lights on my vanity shine behind him, making his smile glow brighter. “So you told me last night.”

“Wait, huh? Whaddya mean?”

“You don’t remember?”

I sit up, the bubbles sliding down my chest, his eyes following the movement. “What’d I say?”

“Oh no, if you don’t remember, I’m not repeatin’ it.” He shakes his head. “I’m not fallin’ for that trap.”

“Just tell me what I said,” I beg. “It can’t be worse than me tellin’ your sisters I haven’t had sex in six months.”

His eyes widen.

“Shit, you weren’t at the table for that conversation.” I close my eyes, inhaling through the little nose holes in the mask.

“I wasn’t but that’d explain what you told me later.”

“Silas!” I whine. “Just tell me or I’m gonna keep wonderin’ and will bug you until you do.”

“Alright…but you gotta promise not to get mad at me…again.”

“Fine, I promise.”

“Swear it.”

Now I’m scared I told him something mortifying.

“I swear! Now spill.”

His eyes lower to the floor while he licks his lips. He scrubs a hand over his jawline before meeting my gaze.

“You told me I ruined you for all other men ’cause they can’t make you come during sex the way I did.”

My heart pounds right out of my chest and the blood rushes in my ears as his words repeat in my head over and over. There’s no freaking way I said that to him.

“Posey?”

“I’m gonna go drown myself now…” Closing my eyes and mouth, I sink down into the water until my head submerges. Maybe it’ll erase all memory of the past twenty-four hours.

“Posey!” Silas yanks me up, the face mask sliding down until he removes it completely.

“Is there any chance you can pretend I never said that? Or I’ll claim I was lyin’.”

He sits on the edge of the tub, a brow pointed toward his hairline. “Were you?”

“Do we gotta discuss this? I was obviously out of my mind drunk.”

“You said that’s why guys keep breakin’ up with you and said Jackson will too once he figures it out. Do you really think that’s why?”

“I know it is. A few of ’em outright told me.”

He grimaces. “You know it’s not your fault, right? A lot of women have trouble orgasmin’ during sex. Even when they try to do it themselves. The problem is?—”

“Please don’t psychoanalyze my vagina right now.” I groan, lowering my body again and resisting the urge to stay under the water this time. Silas’s way too happy knowing my secret.

“Then I’m gonna have to assume it’s my super talented tongue and fingers…” He waggles his brows and waves his fingers. “Or that you only date losers.”
