Page 114 of Take My Love
Grabbing a pair of spandex shorts, I slide them on instead. Although I don’t have a whole lot going on back there, it’ll be enough to drive him wild. Especially since my tattoo peeks out underneath.
As soon as I prance into the kitchen, I catch his gaze on my legs. They follow me while I make a plate of scrambled eggs and grab my tumbler of coffee.
“This looks delicious. Thank you.” I take a sip, smiling over the rim that he made it just the way I like it.
“You’re welcome.” He tips his head to my legs. “What’re you wearin’?”
“Shorts.”
“You’ve not worn those to yoga before.” His eyes lower to my ink.
“Well…if you can go shirtless and wear a cowboy hat for yourmanyfans to record you, then I think me in shorts is the least of our problems.”
He stalks over until he’s in front of me, steals the tumbler out of my hand, and puts it on the counter before caging me in his arms.
“Is that jealousy I hear?” He dips his head close to mine. “You want a private show?”
I lick my lips before capturing the bottom one with my teeth. “Why would I be jealous?”
He buries his face in my neck, sending a shiver down my spine, and then another when he kisses below my ear.
“If you admit you’re feelin’ what I’m feelin’, especially when I touch you, then I just might continue touchin’ you. But the longer you deny it, the more I’ll keep my hands and tongue to myself…” He sucks on the same spot where it’s already bruised and digs his fingers into my hips.
“Silas…” His name comes out a whimper as my hands wrap around his biceps to hold myself up. “What about your job? It’ll look bad if I break the rules after I’ve scolded others for it.”
“Fuck the rules, Posey,” he says harshly, tipping my chin so our gazes meet. “No one has to know while we figure this out privately together.”
I’m pretty certain Ian already does, but I’ll make sure he doesn’t say anything to my dad.
“I’ve put in a dozen applications, so take that concern out of the equation. Jobs are replaceable.” He inches closer, my eyes zeroing in on his lips. “You’re not.”
I hate the idea of him not working at the goat farm or doing goat yoga with me, but if it’s between that or getting to be together risk-free, I’d take the former.
Swallowing down my fear, I nod. “Okay.”
His brows raise. “Okay, what?”
“We’ll keep it a secret until we’re ready or you find a new job.”
He rests his forehead against mine and sighs in relief. “Now tell me what else I wanna hear.”
Feeling too vulnerable, I playfully pat his chest so he’ll back up and give me room to leave. “We’re gonna be late, cowboy.”
“Not so fast, mama…” He effortlessly lifts me on the counter and stands between my legs. My heart rate kicks up when he dips his head, cups my cheek, and softly brushes his lips against mine.
It’s over far too fast, and I whine when he pulls back.
“Silas…” My breathing picks up when his length presses into my thigh. “Kiss me,please.”
A smile splits his face, reaching his brown eyes before he inches closer. “You beg for me so nicely, pretty girl. Just like I knew you would.”
“Stop being smug.”
He continues holding my face and stares at me like he’s seeing into my soul. “Tell me you’re mine, and I’ll give you anythin’ you want.”
Even though I’m terrified as hell to give my heart away tohim again, Bellamy and Amaya’s words of encouragement echo in my head. I’d rather be scared than regretful.
My tongue pokes the inside of my cheek before I finally get the courage. “I’m yo?—”
