Page 4 of TAINTED by TWINS

Lian's collage reference is at the end of the chapter. You don't have to agree with us or imagine the faceclaim.

You can imagine whoever you want—Hu Yetao is just the author's reference. And his "ugly first appearance" is in no way insulting Hu Yetao's looks.

Lian just didn't know what to do with his face until he graduated.

Instead of going to their vehicles after class, Jonah broke off from his brother to walk the other way.

"Jonah? Jonah, where are you going?" Jade catches up to him, but Jonah was still walking the other way. "Jonah—"

"He's back," the blonde stopped to tell his twin, "Lian. He's Mr. Miller, he's Lian Miller."

Jade squints his eyes. "Who?"

Jonah rolls his eyes, "The first guy I wanted to be my boyfriend. The one who... sigh. I can't stop thinking about him, Jade. It's him!"

"Ew..." Jade says, "You're not even out to our parents yet, and you want a boyfriend already? Godd*mn, I want to see you get bullied and called a slur like any other gay person."

"That's because I've only wanted one person, not males specifically!" Jonah whisper-yelled, turning his head to check if Lian Miller is still within sight. When he's heading towards the elevator, Jonah ran to the stairs. "I've only wanted him, Jade."

"Jonah!" Jade has no choice but to follow his twin up the stairs. "Jonathan, my thighs are too sore for stairs after earlier's soccer practice!"

Second floor, Lian didn't get off.

"Come on, Jade! I have to start over with him... I can't believe he'd come back..."

"Yeah I think the scholars... are... required to come and... work... oh god, wait!" Jade breathes in between words as they went up the third floor, where Lian still didn't get off.

"I thought I'd get over him, but I still like him Jade! He's still the only one!" Jonah went up another flight of stairs.

"Jonah, he is literally one person. There's seven billion in the world—minus me and mom, you could probably choose one of our cousins—the point is, there are other people out there!"

Jonah stopped on top of the fourth floor stairs to face his brother seriously. "But there's only one of him..."

They both went to the fourth floor, where Lian finally got off. Jonah hid on top of the stairs for a bit, watching Lian who went towards the school clinic. Jade nonchalantly walked to the empty hallway so Jonah had to grab his black hoodie and pulled him back.

Both of them saw Dr Wayne opening the door before Lian could knock, and both of them saw the doctor wrapping his arm around the teacher's waist and pulling him up to kiss him on the lips.

"Uncle Chris?"

"Oh no..." Jade could feel his twin's heart drop. It was as if it was bouncing down each step, crushed the more he watched. He slams his brother's shoulders on the wall away from the view.

"Jonah, loosen your fist! You don't have the right to get jealous, he's been close to Chris even before he graduated. Just leave the guy alone, man."

Disappointment can be seen in Jonah's eyes. "He rejected me... for a man ten years older than him? Of all people... why him?"

"Jonah, shut the f*ck up. With that face, you can get anyone you want. Get over yourself and get yourself someone who will suck your d*ck."

Jonah leans his head back on the wall, his Adam's apple prominent. He thinks about it for a moment. "You're right... you're right, Jade. I can get anyone I want."

Jade looks at the clinic door where Dr Wayne and Lian Miller disappeared into. "They're gone."

"You're godd*mn right, Jade!" Jonah pushed a harsh finger against his twin's chest. Jade knows him... "If I can get anyone I want... I can make Liam Miller mine."

... he's not done.

"I can't believe a boy made you drink for the first time in a while," says Jade. "A boy our piece of sh*t uncle is sleeping with."

"They can't be sleeping together already," Jonah mumbles, crushing the can, "F*ck that, he doesn't even know what kind of person Chris is. Dating a college student, really? Was that guy waiting for him to graduate?"

"He's no longer a college student," Jade replies. "You're just upset you got rejected. You're no different from an incel sweating in front of a computer donating to anime avatars. The difference is your looks, nothing else."

Jonah was still staring into the city. "No. You don't understand, Jade. You've never wanted anyone like I wanted him."

"Maybe he's into older guys. You should move on," Jade says, only now finishing his first beer while Jonah is on his fourth. "It's not like he's the only gay male in the area. I have one right beside me."

"No. Not this one... he's just... when I touch him, I feel that spark. The spark I lost with Cathy, the interest I lost with everyone else." Jonah held his hand up, recalling how he moved Lian's hair to see those eyes. "He was hiding his eyes, and now I know why. It's because he can't hide anything when they're out. His eyes are transparent, a window to his brain. It's like I can see through him."

"Okay, what's his underwear color?" Jade scoffs, but looking at his twin's pathetic little hurt eyes, seeking hope to make Lian his. So, his twin sighs, "I've never seen you like this, Jonah. Do you really want him that bad?"

"I've never wanted anyone but him..." Jonah says, "I don't think I'm gonna stop, Jade. I don't think I can let him go."

Jade was silent for a bit.

Was Lian even worth it?

Looking at his longing brother right now, a man who is asking for nothing but one person.

while Jade himself can't be satiated with just one girl. He was silent for long bit, to the point where they finished a whole can of beer before he spoke again.

"I remember you crying in my room and refusing to sleep on your own when you started losing feelings for Cathy. When you started losing interest in women... you were so scared of being gay. You were so scared of liking men. You thought your life would be ruined... would end with your sexuality. You think everyone will hate you if you come out. Without your fans, you feel like you'll accomplish nothing."

Jonah quietly replied, "Without him, I feel like I'll forever be scared. Would it be stupid to say I'm ready to choose him over everyone else?"

"Yes, it's stupid." Jade looks at his twin with a half smirk. "But I like you looking stupid, and I like pissing off Chris. Don't worry, Jonathan... you'll get your Lian. I'll make sure of it."

Once again, Jade comes through. Jonah sighs happily, "I love you bro. I knew you love me too."

"No, I still wished I ate you in the womb."

How could I say no? He is handsome, a man who built himself, a man with a degree and a great career. He takes care of me mentally and physically, and I've never been happier. I don't expect anyone to take care of me but it's nice to land a man who will.

I still remember our first time... my first time, where we spent an hour in the most amazing bath before an amazing foreplay. It was my favorite; other moments come close, but none as gentle and magical as my first time—

"Miller!" A fellow teacher popped in my doorway just as I was about to leave. Fantasizing about my first time was cut off.

"H-hi Mrs. Davis..." I greet to the 39 year old teacher.

"Mrs Garcia is hosting a dinner party for us two nights from now. She's a bit sad she didn't invite her co workers for her baby shower so she wants us to come for a get together. Why don't you join?"

"W-will Dr. Wayne come along?" I ask.

"Invite him for me, okay? Both of you should come."

I wave goodbye to her as I felt happy to be invited. I thought I wouldn't be welcomed because I'm new, but they're really nice so far.

I texted Chris, because he is in an administrative meeting right now which means I can't meet him after class. Instead, I walked to the parking lot when the day ended.

"Hey Mr Miller," a soft voice came from behind me, and a shorter boy with pink hair caught up. "Thanks for giving me an extension on my title proposal. Am I allowed to pass now?"

"Sure, Sasha..." I accepted his submission, but he still walked beside me. "Are you going home?"

"Yeah but... I just wanted to ask you something..." he shyly replied. "You're close with Dr. Wayne, right?"

I stopped walking. Does he know about our relationship? Sh*t. "Uhm... yeah, we're good friends."

"Did he ever tell you what his type is? Is he... you know... into you? Because I saw you always having lunch in the clinic and going there after class too, maybe there's something." He stepped towards me and played around with my top button suggestively. "Come on, Mr. Miller... tell me a secret. Is Dr. Wayne...?"

I stepped back to continue walking so I can take his finger off my chest. "Are you asking if we have a relationship? I'm not sure if Dr. Wayne is even gay. Our conversations center around work."

"That's surprising," Sasha says, which confused me. "You look like his type. I just want to know if he's dating you already, or is about to."

"How could you know that?" I ask him.

But Sasha just shrugged, before smiling at me with a twinkle in his eyes. "I'll see you around, Mr. Miller. Wait 'till I graduate, then I can go on dates with you..."

"Huh...?" I looked at Sasha as he literally bounced away in his arm warmers and platform shoes. I'm very confused right now...

But all of that wiped out when I backed my car and immediately got hit by a neglectful driver who is speeding down the parking lot. "What the hell?!"

I got out to yell, "Hey, what do you think you're doing?! Are you blind or something?!"

That driver didn't need to take off his helmet for me to recognize who he is, because I know who drives that black Kawasaki Ninja. Jade Deveroux takes his helmet off and just stares at the damage.

"You back out too slow, Mr. Miller," he says with no amount of remorse in his deep gritty voice, unlike the polite tone of his twin. Then he smirks, "Don't worry, I'll pay for the damages."

"This is your fault," I scold him, looking at the broken tail light and bent frame of my car. "Ugh, seriously Jade—I mean..."

"You can call me Jade, we're not in school anymore. However..." He was counting bills with his fingers, but he suddenly paused to look at me with smoked out blue eyes. "Isn't this the car you bought with the pictures you sold of us? Lian Miller?"

My world stopped, but Jade didn't when he threw the hundred dollar bills to my chest, everything landing on the ground because I was too stunned to move.

"Familiar, huh?" He nonchalantly leaned against his motorcycle with one elbow on a handle, "I'd watch your back if I was you. Can't have anyone see you kissing our school's doctor, that would be bad for his reputation."

I gasped as Jade puts on his helmet, but I stopped him simply by grabbing his arm. "Wait! W-wait..."

What was I gonna say? It's too late now, I've shown that I'm scared.

"Why? Are you embarrassed, Lian?" He looked at me and tilts his head. "If his sexuality being exposed, it really won't ruin him. Nor will a relationship with a fellow teacher. There's nothing to be afraid of. Unless...?"

"I don't need your money," I rushed to pick up the hundred dollar bills from the ground to give to Jade. "... keep it. Keep it, I need to go—"

He grabbed my hand and didn't let it go. I tried to pull away, but he pulled me close. "Unless... you were having an affair while you were still a student? That would ruin Dr Wayne."

"I don't know what you're talking about. We dated after I graduated—"

"Are you sure, Lian?" He stopped me, looking dead straight into my eyes. "Or did he show you how a man will treat you... when you were a boy?"

I didn't tear my eyes away from him. "We did no such thing. He waited for me. Don't you dare lie to anyone about that, Jade. False rumors can still ruin someone..."

"Hmm." He releases my hand but didn't accept the money, which made them fall to the ground again. "Tell you what, Lian. I'll leave you and Chris alone if you pick up your camera and be my personal photographer tomorrow after class. Just an hour, with pay. I'll keep my mouth shut... hmm?"

That smug smile...

"F-for what, I don't understand...?"

"Keep the money," he says, looking down at the cash, but also at me. "Consider it my first deposit for the job. Oh and Lian? Try not to get too disappointed with Chris. We know our uncle better than you ever will."
