Dante
“Dante, phone,” Crash said to me as the other members clambered into the room.
I growled low in my throat, knowing there was fuck all I could do about what I had just seen.
The fucking psychotic bitch! I raged to myself, drumming my fingers on the table. She had gone too far. Burning my fucking clothes, for what reason? We ended last night on a good note. Yet today she had woken up and, for some reason had chosen violence.
I just wanted one day with her where it was peaceful! Was that really too much to fucking ask?
And here I was. Stuck in church. The club would always, always come first for me, but by God, she was testing my loyalty.
“Rachel, I take it?” Vienna asked.
“Just… just don’t.” I sighed.
“Oh, but I’m going to,” he grinned. I clicked on the picture and showed him, knowing there would be no peace until I did. “Ooooh,” he hissed between his teeth. “She is pissed.”
“Let me see,” Shark nudged Vienna, looking over his shoulder.
Vienna tipped the phone in his direction and Shark, helpful as ever, did nothing but shake his head.
At least he suppressed the laughter. Before I knew what was happening, Shark passed the phone to Rooster, who let his brother Chicken look at it.
Doc snatched it out of their hands and smirked whilst handing it to Trent.
The entire club, minus that useless brother of mine, was loving this.
“Was that the leather jacket that…?”
“Yep.”
“Shit. I’m sorry, son.”
“It’s fine.” I rubbed a hand over my eyes. “I’ll deal with it. Are we getting started or what?”
“Macbeth isn’t here yet,” Monster said.
“Makes a fucking change from you being the one holding up church,” I snapped. It wasn’t his fault, but I was too pissed to apologise.
“Has anyone seen him today?” Crash asked.
We all either murmured a negative or shook our heads.
“For fuck's sake. We’ll give him ten minutes. If he’s not here by then, Dante, you go looking for him. I don’t care what it takes, just bring him back in one piece.”
“I can do that,” I grinned. “There are still ways to fuck a man up and keep him in one piece.”
