Page 59 of Scarred in Silence
I carefully take the blade and inspect it under the fluorescent lights.
“What did you do to her?”
He breathes in, expecting me to cut him, but I’m a patient man.
“I… I drugged her. She let me. She laid down on the table. Then I had her jaw wired shut.”
“And then what, you sick prick?”
“I fucked her,” he spits his words out vehemently.
My ears ring at his words. No. He fucking didn’t.
Itake my knife and bend down in front of him. I slowly cut his jeans from his legs, exposing him to the elements.
I let the tip of my knife trail up his bare flesh, leaving a crimson trail in its wake. He lets out a blood-curdling scream. Music to my fucking ears.
“You’re fucking pathetic,” I say as I dig my knife up into his ball sack.
Touch what’s mine, and you’ll pay the fucking price.
His screams of agony bounce off the concrete walls. He convulses against the chains. Unable to move. Unable to speak. Just like he did to my Siren.
Nicolette turns into herself, trying to avoid the sight. Varek stares at me. Glaring at me.
I let him bleed out as I turn to watch Astra. She isn’t phased. She sits in the chair patiently, waiting for me to remove her from this room.
“I know what you did to your brother, Cuz,” Varek calls out.
I smile at him. He doesn’t know shit. The only one who knows is sitting in a metal chair right now.
“Did you tell him?” I ask Astra.
She shakes her head “no”.
“Nice try, asshole.”
I kick him in the balls, and I walk back over to Astra. She fucked up. She let someone else drug her and use her. That can’t go unpunished, no matter how much shit she has been through.
I always fucking save her, so this punishment needs to be one she will remember.
I walk her up to the office and sit her down with Dante.
“Don’t fucking move. Got it?”
She nods.
Ihead back into the room and grab Ronan on my way. We have a body to dismember.
* * *
While we were dismembering his body, I found a 6-inch metal plate in his femur. I decided to keep it. As a trophy for my victory. Although no one else will see it as one.
There is nothing that can take me down from the high of killing. Nothing, except for Astra. I developed this addiction when she chose the drugs over me. I have been an executioner ever since.
At first, I sucked at it. I had a bad aim, and all that, but now I’m quick, accurate, and lethal. Like poison.
I wait for Ronan to finish up, and we leave the body in the cell with an alive Nicolette and Varek. They should have to live with the smell of decay for once. It really suits them.
