I might call him Daddy and submit to him at home, but in the walls of our businesses, he treats me like a boss. It’s probably the sexiest thing about him. His masculinity isn’t threatened by me being CEO of Kingston Casinos. None of theirs is.

Caleb steps up to us, a smile playing at his lips. I grin and throw my arms around him again, mostly just to piss off Cash because it’s fun. Makes the sex even better. Making love is hot, but hate fucking is even better.

“Jordyn Elise,” Cash snaps, pulling me against him.

I laugh and pinch Cash’s side, not missing the way his lips twitch as he fights his own smile.

“Yeah, Daddy?” I ask innocently.

Leaning down, he brings his mouth to my ear. “Keep it up and you’re going to find yourself bent over your desk, getting your ass spanked and fucked.”

A shiver runs down my spine, and I nuzzle into him slightly, his muscles immediately relaxing when I do.

“I don’t like the thought of someone else guarding Jordyn,” Caleb informs Cash as he eyes me.

He still doesn’t talk to me much. I’m pretty sure Cash has threatened him within an inch of his life if Caleb gets too close to me. But he’s become somewhat of a friend. I’m going to miss his stalking—I mean, protecting—me every day. The thought of it makes tears spring to my eyes.

Cash looks down at me and groans. “I don’t like it any more than you do. You’re the only guy I trust, and I barely trust you.”

I smile at that, even though Cash isn’t joking.

“I think I can oversee the security of both companies while still being Jordyn’s bodyguard. When she’s not working, she’s out at the pool. I can work when she’s in the office. And while she’s drunk and passing out on the lounge chairs,” Caleb offers.

“Hey,” I snap. “You say it like I do it often. It’s happened twice.”

Both Cash and Caleb smirk at me, so I let out a dramatic huff and roll my eyes. Men. What do they know? Can’t they let me enjoy my life? Because that’s what I’m doing. Finally.

I’m living my very best life, with my very unhinged fiancé. Who would get married tomorrow if I’d agree to it. I haven’t admitted that every day I wake up, I think about telling him that we should do it. Something is holding me back, though.

I glance at Xander, who looks miserable as he sits off to the side, scowling down at his phone. I’m not sure what his deal is, but I’m pretty sure he hates me. And that bothers me. Then again, I’m not sure he really likes anyone.

Caleb shrugs his shoulders. “We could hire a second bodyguard to back me up and be available in my absence. I’ll help you vet the candidates.”

My eyebrows shoot up. Two bodyguards… a.k.a. two babysitters telling Cash my every move. I glare up at them. No. Hell no. Caleb is enough of a tattletale as it is.

“I like that idea. I approve, if you’re sure. I think my girl would be happy if you stayed.” Cash glances at me, a smug smile on his face.

Oh, that possessive, jealous asshole. He knows exactly what he’s doing.

“Let’s go talk to Beckett about it and see if he has any recommendations of men who are already on the security team.” Cash motions toward his younger brother, who’s talking to Kian, and the two of them walk over.

I grab my laptop and head out of the room, whispering to Cash that I’ll be down the hall when he’s done. I smile at my secretary as I pass her desk and walk into my office, leaving the door open behind me.

Before I make it to my desk, there’s a light knock, and when I turn around, I’m surprised to see Xander.

My stomach sinks slightly, but I give him my best smile. “Hey. Did you need something?”

He steps in, his hands sliding into his pockets. “I just wanted to apologize. Cash told me that you think I don’t like you.”

I close my eyes for a second. He’s worse than a gossip girl when it comes to his brothers, I swear.

“It’s fine.” I try to say it brightly, but I know it comes off flat.

Because it does bother me. Xander and Cash are close, and I don’t want to cause any kind of conflict between them. They’ve lost enough already.

“It’s not fine, Jordyn. My dickishness has nothing to do with you and everything to do with me.” He walks over to the floor-to-ceiling windows and stares out at The Strip for a long second before he meets my gaze again. “Someone fucked me up and I have some trust issues that I’m still not over.”

“A woman?” I ask, leaning my hip against my desk.

Xander clenches his jaw and dips his chin. “Yeah. My point is, I was keeping my distance from you because of it, and I apologize. I know you love my brother. For the right reasons. I shouldn’t have judged you based on my past.”

Warmth spreads over my chest as I run my thumb over the underside of the platinum engagement band. “I love him so very much. And someone will love you like that one day, too, Xander. Whoever that woman was who hurt you, she didn’t deserve you.”

He stares at me blankly. I don’t think he really believes me, but that’s okay. I know I’m right.

I hold out my hand, not moving from where I am, so he has to cross the room to me. “Truce.”

A smile plays at his lips as he swaggers over, and we shake on it. Something settles in my chest, and I let out a long exhale.

Xander grins and reaches out, wrapping his arm around my neck to pull me in for a hug. “Welcome to the family.”

My heart clenches. I miss Jacob. But I think I miss what we could have had.

It felt like that day was a turning point for us, and because of Elliott, we both lost out on it.

I’ll always be sad because of that, but I’m thankful that we said “I love you” to each other before he died.

At least, he knew I loved him. And it heals something in me knowing he did, too.

But now it seems that I have three brothers. All of them are big, dangerous, overprotective, and completely unhinged, but I can’t wait for what the future brings.

Because I’m going to marry Cash Savage.
