Being referred to by that name still feels weird, despite legally changing my name being the first thing I did after discovering the truth about who my father really was.

It felt weird, claiming the name of a man I barely knew, but it was a fuck load better than using the name of the cunt who’d tried to destroy every bit of light in my life, so I just went for it.

“You think she’ll approve?” I ask, looking down at myself.

“You look like a Greek god, Tobes. She won’t be able to resist you.”

“Two times in one day. I must have something working for me.”

Her chin drops at my words.

“You’ve already seen her today.”

A smirk curls at my lips.

“Might have.” I wink.

“And I thought Nico was the dog,” she quips right as the man himself shouts through my flat.

“Down here, asshole,” Stella bounces back.

“Bro, I don’t think Jodie will be all too pleased to find out you’ve had another woman in your bed.”

“Good to see you’ve come to apologise.”

“For what? Letting your sister in on all your secrets? Mate, she deserves to know who she’s related to.”

“Whatever.”

“It’s okay. He’s told me all about his kinks. And he’s totally invited me to visit Hades.”

Nico’s eyes widen, instantly finding mine.

“I didn’t invite her to join us,” I confirm.

“I was gonna say… I’m down for all the freaky shit, and I know it wouldn’t be the first time… but she’s your sister, man.”

“Christ, are you ready to go?”

“Hell, yes. I’m all fresh, clean, and ready for action.” He thrusts his hips forward, making Stella’s face twist.

“Have fun, boys. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“No worries there, Princess. You’re as bad as the rest of us.”

“Can’t beat ’em, join ’em, right? I’m gonna go talk to Seb about this sex club.” She flounces out of the room, shouting, “You know where I am if you need me, big bro,” while Nico just stares at me.

“What?”

“You told her about Hades?”

“Was that not what you intended when you mentioned it?”

“I was just yanking your chain, man. I didn’t exactly expect you to tell her that you had Jodie trussed up on that cross with whip marks across her body.”

“I didn’t tell her that, no. But I’m pretty sure she read between the lines.”

“Just don’t tell Calli, for fuck’s sake. I’m happy for her to think that a pair of handcuffs is purely for coppers.”

“Oh yeah, that’s totally what she thinks. You did just watch her best friend walk out of here, right?” I ask, knowing full well that Stella won’t keep the details of that place secret—especially once she visits.

“My little sister is never having sex,” he declares.

“She’s right, know you.” His curious stare burns into my back as he follows me down to the living room. “You’re a hypocrite.”
