“No, I’m good.”
“Good. Let’s go.”
Twenty minutes later, we are through security. I’ve signed the forms, and we’re about to push through the door to the club.
With his hand on the handle, he asks, “You ready?”
“Born ready.”
He smirks. “You’ll be eating your words, Rainey.”
“Don’t…” I start to admonish him, but my words die on my tongue upon the door opening.
He wasn’t wrong. The club is dimly lit in a red hue; the floor is white, epoxy-sealed concrete, the red lights giving it a sultry feel, while the walls are a dark charcoal color. I’m no prude, but I can feel my eyes bugging wide as I walk beside Acheron, taking it all in.
There are stages to the front with people scening. One woman is being whipped, another is being tied up, and there is a woman force facesitting on a man who has a penis chastity belt on. I look around, gob-smacked, surprised, and utterly turned on by what I’m witnessing. We keep walking, and I can feel the leering eyes on us, but I focus on the other members instead.
The music is loud but not obnoxious, and my eyes dart from one person to another, trying to absorb everything that’s happening around us.
I feel giddy, and I can feel how wet I am from the saturated piece of lace between my thighs. I’ve been to BDSM clubs before; hell, I’ve had my share of humiliating moments, but this takes the cake.
A warm hand grabs hold of me, and my bubble shatters. Turning toward the culprit, I find an older man watching me, his dark eyes drinking me in. He’s attractive and can’t be much more than forty.
He’s wearing a suit similar to the one Acheron is wearing; his shirt is unbuttoned by a couple of buttons to showcase his hard, inked chest. His dark graying hair is veering toward the silver fox kind of look, and when he suddenly smirks, I realize I’ve been staring this entire time. I look away, removing my arm from his hold.
“You’re new here.” It’s a statement, not a question.
I search for Acheron and feel uneasy when I don’t see him. When did I lose him?
Turning back to the stranger, I raise my eyebrows, and he chuckles.
“That obvious?”
“Well, yeah, kind of.”
“What gave it away? Me aimlessly walking around like a lost puppy?”
He smirks. “Something like that. Gabriel,” he says, holding out his hand.
I hesitate for a moment; my libido doing backflips, and I want to neck the traitorous bitch.
“Raine.”
“Such a pretty name. So tell me, Raine, are you here with anyone?”
“Yes, she is.”
I jump upon hearing Acheron’s voice, noticing my hand is still in Gabriel’s, and I snatch it back.
He steps back, grinning at us. “Acheron. How are you?”
“Fine. What do you want, Gabe?”
‘Nothing. I was just talking to Raine here. She looked a little lost.”
“Yeah, well, she’s found now. Go on.”
He nods to Acheron and pulls out his wallet, flicking through the contents before handing me a card. I take it, looking at him warily.
