Page 85 of Power Play Daddies
She’s already asleep, mouth slightly parted, her face tucked against Kieran’s chest.
I shake my head, smiling. “Damn, we knocked her out.”
Kieran chuckles, adjusting his grip on her. “She’s gonna be sore tomorrow.”
“Yeah,” I murmur, grabbing a T-shirt from the pile of clothes we tossed earlier. I slide it over her head, lifting her just enough to get her arms through. She barely stirs. “We should put her to bed.”
We walk over to her bedroom and then glance toward her small queen-sized bed in the corner.
There’s a beat of silence. Then?—
Kieran snorts. “No way in hell we’re all fitting in there.”
I shake my head. “Not happening.”
“Your house or mine?”
“Mine.”
Kieran nods, shifting her slightly in his arms. “We should wake her up, see if she needs anything before we go.”
I nudge her gently. “Daisy.”
She groans, pressing her face deeper into Kieran’s chest.
“Daisy, you need anything?” I try again.
She mutters something completely unintelligible, then goes limp again.
Kieran smirks. “That answer your question?”
I sigh. “I’ll grab her stuff.”
While Kieran holds her, I move through her apartment, packing up her laptop and charger, grabbing a few ginger ales from the fridge because she’s always drinking them to soothe her morning sickness.
Then I spot Slim, curled up in his little bed, watching us with narrowed eyes.
“All right, come on, dude,” I mutter, scooping up the cat and placing him in his carrier. I grab a few of his treats and tuck them into my pocket before heading back.
“Got everything?” Kieran asks.
“Yeah.” I grab her keys, locking up behind us as we step into the hallway.
Daisy is still snoring softly in Kieran’s arms.
“Do you think this counts as kidnapping?” Kieran asks, raising a brow.
I laugh, shaking my head. “Fuck, I hope not.”
We walk down to my car, leaving Kieran’s Jeep parked nearby. He lays her down gently in the backseat, adjusting her so she’s comfortable before stepping back.
I slide into the driver’s seat, glancing at him as he gets in. “Text Mason. Let him know where we’re headed.”
Kieran pulls out his phone, smirking as he types. “You do realize if we get pulled over, we have no good way to explain this?”
I chuckle, starting the engine. “Yeah, well, let’s hope we don’t. The police would have a fuckingfield day with this.”
