Page 16 of Overdue Feelings

Walking into the school board meeting hand in hand with Zae and Ares at my side felt surreal.

My palms were slick with nerves. When principal Voss called me in the office, I never in a million years thought she’d be showing me a string of emails from parents about us.

That was the last thing I thought she wanted.

I figured it was about a student or the book fair leftover inventory.

I let out a nervous breath as we made it through the small boardroom.

There were five members sitting in a row, trying to look impartial.

Principal Voss sat off to the side. She gave me a soft, supportive nod as I took my seat.

Zae squeezed my hand once before letting go, taking the seat beside me.

Ares stayed standing, arms folded behind my chair like he was my security guard or something.

I watched as one of the board members adjusted her glasses and cleared her throat at the sight of all three of us together.

They’d tried to stop them from joining me at the front door, but both Ares and Zae refused to let me come inside alone.

Ares had flat out told the man, “One band one sound. If she walks in, so do we.” It was romantic as hell to say the least.

“Ms. Delaney, thank you for coming. As you’ve been made aware, there have been concerns raised by members of the community and parents, regarding the nature of your relationship with two colleagues.”

I kept my face steady. Ares squeezed my shoulder and Zae my thigh.

“I’m aware, but I also want to clarify. I’ve always maintained professionalism. My personal life doesn’t interfere with my responsibilities to students or staff, and also, the proposed complaints were made from an incident that happened after my working hours.”

“We’re aware it happened after hours,” the man in the center said, voice sharp like he had something up his ass. “But some parents don’t see boundaries that clearly. Their emails say this relationship sets a poor example for students, and I’m going to agree.”

I opened my mouth to respond but Zae beat me to it.

“I’ll make it easy for y’all,” he said, standing. “I resign.”

“What?” I turned to him, but he kept his eyes locked on the board.

“I’m not about to let y’all drag her for something we all signed up for. She ain’t do nothing wrong. If a relationship off the clock is enough to cause all this, I’m good.”

The room broke out in chatter and whispers, and Ares stepped forward.

“I resign too,” he said calmly. “If the problem is us being employees for the district, I’ll put in my notice at the end of the semester. And if y’all want it sooner, just say the word.”

My stomach dropped, and I sat frozen in my seat. This wasn’t part of the plan. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. I didn’t know what to say. Was I supposed to quit?

“With all due respect.” Principal Voss stood. “Ms. Delaney is one of the most respected staff members. There’s been no breach of conduct. No inappropriate behavior on school grounds. If we start letting go of good teachers for falling in love, we’re gonna have a staffing crisis.”

The board members whispered among themselves, shifting papers, and leaning in close.

I sat there staring into space, heart pounding so loud I could barely think.

Everything was happening too fast. Zae quitting, Ares ready to walk away, and it was all for me.

For our unconventional ass relationship.

I was so overwhelmed with emotion I didn’t know if I wanted to cry or scream.

I looked up at both of them, and they stood there unbothered, like they did not tie their peace to this job.

“We’ll take a brief recess.” One of the board members finally spoke into the mic before they all stood and filed out of the room. The door clicked shut behind them, and I didn’t waste any time turning to stare at them.

“Y’all serious right now? What the hell was that?”

“We not about to let them play in your face.”

“It’s our job to protect you. I ain’t come back to Harvest to not live my truth.” Ares shrugged.

“I didn’t ask y’all to do this.” My eyes filled up with tears, but I blinked them away.

“You don’t have to,” Zae said. “We grown. We know what we’re doing.”

I pressed my fingers into my temples. This was too much. My job still hung in the balance, and now both of them had just dropped theirs like it was nothing and I was everything.

“What if they fire me anyway?”

“Then you become a stay-at-home girlfriend,” Zae said simply, making me smile just as the door opened again, and the board reentered. The man in the center adjusted his mic.

“Ms. Delaney. Mr. Bishop. Mr. Knight. We’ve come to a decision.

” I took a deep breath. “After reviewing the situation, we don’t find it necessary for anyone to resign or be let go given there’s been no policy violation or student complaints.

” My breath hitched. “However,” he continued, “we strongly advise maintaining discretion going forward. There are still community concerns, and we’ll be monitoring the situation closely. ”

“Understood.” I nodded slowly, and he gave a stiff nod.

“Thank you for your time.”

I stood, my knees a little weak as I headed for the door. My men followed close behind me until we were out of the parking lot.

“That man said use discretion like we are out here fucking in the library.”

Zae smirked. “I guess that means no more fuckin’ in your office, huh?”

“Hold up. Y’all be fucking at school?” Ares blurted.

Zae reached for my hand. “Occasionally.”

“Damn.” Ares huffed. “Ain’t nobody told me shit.”

“Consider this your briefing. Everybody fucking on school grounds. I caught Principal Voss and assistant principal Dr. Griffin looking suspicious in her office last week.”

“Damn, I can’t wait until Monday,” Ares muttered.

We all cracked up—loud, unfiltered, and free.

Zae looked over at me as we reached the car. “You tired?”

I shook my head. “Not really. Why?”

“Good,” he said, smirking. “’Cause we’ve got a surprise for you.”

My brows lifted. “What kind of surprise?”

“The kind you don’t find out about until we get there,” Ares said, opening my door and leaning in close, his breath brushing my cheek.

“We’re being intentional.” Zae slid in beside me.

That was all they gave me. They didn’t tell me where we were going, they just drove.

The whole ride, they exchanged quiet glances and smug grins like they were holding on to something top secret.

By the time we hit the edge of Harvest, my stomach was flipping with anticipation.

“We’re leaving town?”

“Sit back and ride.” Zae grinned.

I crossed my arms and relaxed into the passenger seat. Please let this surprise end with me being stuffed and satisfied.

We pulled up to a boutique hotel that looked like it belonged in a movie. Valet came out and greeted Zae and Ares by name like this had been set up well in advance. I didn’t even have time to take it all in before we were in the elevator going up to the top floor.

“This place is beautiful,” I said.

“You haven’t seen the best part,” Ares replied.

The doors opened into something out of a dream.

A rooftop suite with the most perfect view of the city skyline in the floor to ceiling windows.

Candlelight flickered everywhere, and there were roses, actual roses, strung across the ceiling, cascading down over the bed like something straight off social media. My breath caught in my throat.

“Y’all did all of this for me?”

Neither of them answered. They just ushered me inside. I stepped further in, my sneakers squeaking across the tile until I saw it, a table set up with gifts neatly wrapped in deep purple and gold. And beside them, a thick photo album.

“Y’all!” I gasped, one hand flying to my mouth, the other to my chest. “What is all of this? Y’all know I don’t need all this big, fancy stuff.”

“Maybe, you don’t need it,” Ares said, stepping closer, “but you deserve it.”

Zae slipped his hand beneath my chin, lifting my gaze to his. “You’re not split between two loves anymore, Creek. You’re standing in the middle of one big one. And that’s something worth celebrating.”

My eyes watered.

“Go ahead.” Ares nodded toward the scrapbook on the table. “Look at the book.”

I picked it up, already blinking back tears before I even opened it.

When I turned to the first page, I couldn’t help but to let them roll down my cheek.

It was pictures of us through the years.

Old playground photos. Eighth grade school field day.

Freshmen homecoming. Senior prom. Graduation.

They even had the blurry shot from the lifeguard tower the day Zae asked me to be his girlfriend.

The more I flipped through the book, the more tears rolled down my face, and then I saw them.

All the notes and letters Ares had written me over the years printed out on the last ten pages.

My hand covered my mouth again.

“Guys, I can’t—this is…” My words got caught in my throat. Zae came up behind me, pressing a kiss to my shoulder. “These are the memories that made us, Creek, and we can’t wait to make more.”

Ares took the album from my hands and set it aside. “And tonight’s just the beginning.”

My body moved on instinct, like it already knew what came next. I backed up and climbed onto the bed slowly. Roses crushed beneath me as I laid back, arms out, legs bent.

“How about we make a memory right now?” I whispered.

“Shit, say less.” Zae was the first to reach me. He climbed into bed and pulled off my dress with the quickness. It was almost like he’d been waiting to see me naked all day. Ares followed, his hands roaming my body, unfastening my bra and tossing it aside.

“You’re crying.” Ares wiped under my eye and kissed my tears away.

“I know.” I sniffled, pulling him closer. “They’re happy tears. Horny ones too.”

They both grinned as they placed kisses all over my body. I reached for both. “I need y’all inside.”

“How bad?” Zae spread my legs and kissed my inner thigh.

“Bad. Real bad.” I didn’t even try to hide the want in my voice.

“Say it,” Ares said, his hand gripping my neck. “Tell us exactly what you want.”

“To be filled. To be stretched,” I basically moaned. “To have both of you at the same time.”

“Shit!” Zae hissed, already tugging his shirt over his head. Ares didn’t waste any time either. His chain clinked as he stripped, eyes locked on me like he was starving.

“You sure?” Zae asked, needing to hear it again from my lips.

“I’m past sure,” I whispered, leaning back onto the bed of roses they’d laid out for me. “I’ve been researching, and I want it.”

Zae looked at me, then over at Ares, and back again. I knew that look. They were trying to figure out the logistics of my request with nothing but eye contact. I bit my lip to keep from laughing.

“My polyamorous deep dive turned into a double penetration rabbit hole,” I admitted. “And... I’m intrigued.”

“Intrigued, huh?” Zae’s brow lifted.

“I mean... You know I love a good thumb in the butt moment,” I said, dead serious. “And you, sir,” I pointed at Zae, “have broken my ass in more times than I can count. So yeah, I want to try.”

“For real, Creek? You not just talkin’ nasty?” Ares stared at me.

“I’m dead ass serious,” I told him. “I trust y’all. Slut me out, please.” I spread my legs wide so they could get a good glimpse of my wet, throbbing middle.”

“That was all I needed.” Ares grabbed me up and positioned me on his lap.

“Shittt! Me too.” Zae kissed me slow, moving behind me, lips trailing heat down my back. Their hands were everywhere on my body all at once, and I was loving every minute of it.

“I need y’all!” At this point, I was practically begging. Ares pressed his lips to my ear.

“You don’t need us. You got us, Creek,” he whispered.

That’s when everything slowed, and the two of them moved in sync like they’d rehearsed this before.

Ares guided my hips gently down on his dick, his eyes never leaving mine. He slid in slow, stretching me so good I gasped. I didn’t have no time to catch my breath before Zae ran his wet fingers between my cheeks and massaged soft circles around my asshole, wetting it and preparing to enter me.

“Ooh!” My moans were low and breathy as he prepared to enter me. By the time he lined himself up at my entrance, my thighs were trembling in anticipation.

“You ready?” Zae asked.

“Yes. I want you.”

Zae pushed into me slow and steady. My back arched to make room, and my eyes rolled to the back of my head.

“Oh my God…” I couldn’t hold it in. The stretch and fullness of it all was overwhelming. I felt them in places I didn’t even know they could be.

“Ooh!” I cried out.

“Fuck.” Zae hissed. “You’re so damn tight.”

“She’s perfect.” Ares groaned under me. “You good, baby?”

“Yes. More.” I threw my head back as they took their time moving in and out of me. They moved perfectly, like they’d been made to do this together.

“You’re so fucking beautiful like this,” Ares praised.

“So fucking beautiful taking both yo’ dicks,” Zae added. My hands clawed at Ares’s back, and my body quaked. I was already on the verge of cumming.

“I’m going to cum!” I screamed, and my body locked down around them, squeezing them for dear life.

They didn’t stop. They kept the pace.

“Fuck, Creek. You feel like heaven.” Ares groaned beneath me, slamming me down on his dick.

“Let go, baby. We got you.” Zae ground into my ass.

I cried out again, louder this time, as my orgasm ripped through me. The pleasure of it all was too much. I never thought I’d be loved this much. This deeply. Tears streamed down my face as my body shook in between the two men I loved.

“I love you!” I sobbed. “Both of you!”

“We love you more,” Zae whispered into my back.

“Always. We’re not going anywhere,” Ares added.

“Ooh!” My cries melted into moans. I couldn’t tell where one of them ended and the other began. I just knew I was theirs and they were mine.

“Shit… I’m close.” Ares grunted.

“Me too. You feel so fucking good, Creek,” Zae said.

I grabbed for them both, nails digging into their flesh, gasping and trying to catch my breath.

“Cum with me. Please.”

They didn’t make me ask twice. Zae grunted behind me, hips jerking once, twice, and then he spilled into me.

Ares followed right after, holding me down with both hands as he let go inside me.

We collapsed on the bed, breathless, covered in sweat and rose petals.

This was our life, our love, and I wouldn’t change a damn thing about it.
