“It sure is. As long as you treat her right,” she tells me. “Is your divorce finalized yet?”
I chuckle and nod. “Yeah, before I left I signed all of the necessary paperwork. I didn’t want to drag it out for her, or for me.”
“It’s all we need to hear,” Cassie says. “And Amelia seems to like you, so that’s good enough for us.”
“That’s it?” I say, looking around the table. “I expected more of a fight from you ladies because of how tight you all are.”
“Well, if you make our girl happy, then who are we to stand in Amelia’s way,” Cassie replies and I get ready to say something, but then she adds, “Just don’t fuck with her and we won’t fuck with you.”
The girls all laugh and Amelia places her arm around me and pulls me close. “Don’t worry, their bark is worse than their bite. I think.”
“I’m not so sure about that.” I turn to her and meet her shining brown eyes.
“Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”
Amelia pulls me in and kisses me passionately. Like we did that night on the couch. Expect this time we are in front of all of her friends. Other Blaze staff are here too, since this is a hangout for the team. Looks like the word is out on our relationship.
“Damn, well it’s a good thing that I lifted that fraternization policy. Otherwise, there would be a whole scene here that I do not wish to repeat.”
I don’t bother to pull apart from her quite yet. She lets my tongue enter her mouth, and I begin to work it against mine, when I’m slapped on the back.
“Please, no live sex show. We love you and all but let’s keep this for your bedroom only,” Cassie says, giggling.
“Sorry,” Amelia says after she detaches herself from my lips. “Got a little carried away there.”
“Yeah, sorry guys.” I’m pretty sure that my face is same shade of pink as hers.
“Aren’t you two cute,” Hendrix teases us, making the blush even deeper on Amelia.
“So, who else did you have to bust? You mentioned not wanting to repeat the scene?” I ask August.
Laughter erupts around the table.
“Oh yeah, I had to bust most of the people at this table,” August says shaking his head. “I was about to change my name to the Pussy Patrol, as many times as I was catching my players messing around with someone they shouldn’t be.”
More laughter erupts as Mac and Cassie are nodding their heads.
“He busted Danny and me,” Mac says, grinning widely.
“Cassie and I were caught out at a sushi restaurant, wrecked what was a lovely dinner,” Jase says laughing. “Almost made me want to give up sushi.”
Cassie leans in and kisses his jaw. “Oh honey, you couldn’t give that up.” Her voice is so sultry and low.
“Well, I for one, am glad that I don’t have to deal with busting players for sleeping with staff,” August says, shaking his head. “Now, if you two could please be the last because my father will be so pissed at me if I have to fill out more paperwork and send it to legal. He keeps reminding me that I am running a team, not a dating service.”
“We’ll all try to be on our best behavior,” Jase promises him.
“I should hope so. Excuse me for a moment,” August gets up and heads to the bar.
“Something we said?” Cassie says, looking around.
I shake my head laughing. “No, he’s at the bar and if I know August, it’s time for shots.”
“Oh god, are we really doing shots?” Jase asks, shaking his head.
“Oh, I think we are,” Hendrix says, looking at August, who is at the bar still ordering.
“Did someone say shots?” A voice from behind us says.
