Story: Most Of All
Where the fuck is she? I have searched everywhere I can think. I even went to the sandwich shop she’s always in. Yet, nothing. I was under the impression she was staying with her parents. But, she’s not. She’s not at her apartment either. She’s nowhere to be found. Where the hell is she? I have tried calling her phone so many times, but it just keeps ringing. I even resorted to calling the girls at the pharmacy, but they wouldn’t tell me, even if they knew where she is. They’ve never liked me. Only God knows why. They are not shy about letting me know about it either. She must be there. Where else would she be? They’re probably having one of their many girls’ nights.
I sit down at my computer to go through today's footage of Donavan. I didn’t have eyes on him personally today since I was in court. I scroll through the hidden cameras that I have set up. There are four cameras on his property. One is at the back of the property, two pointing at different angles at the front, and the last one facing the road that leads up to the house. They are over fifty feet away and out of sight, but they pick up what I need. He doesn’t show up in any of the cameras. I can’t see him in any of the feeds from today. That’s strange. Donavan is a man of habit; his daily routine is always the same. So why isn’t he here? Did he take a day off work? Is this a day for disappearances or what? It’s times like this I wish I could install some cameras within his home, or even just a bit closer. But his security team would find them, and I can’t risk it. I’m going to need to take a closer look at today's footage, there must be something there that I missed. I know this is going to take a while, so I get up to grab some coffee.
After about four hours of looking through the feed, I’m ready to give up. Getting up from the chair to stretch out my seizing muscles, I see it. What was that? Quickly, I replay the last few minutes of the footage, examining every detail carefully.
Wait… What…is that Raine’s work van? I rewind it again just to make sure, and it is. It’s Raine’s work van stopping outside of Donovan's house. I zoom in and keep watching. Raine gets out of the van and makes her way inside, heading toward the gates. What is she doing? Why did she go inside? Shit! Gripping my hair out of frustration. Why? Fuck! I thought it worked. I thought she would wait for me. I put on the show of my life yesterday for her, it should have worked. I could have won an Oscar for that fucking performance.
Clicking back onto the live feed of the camera, I look to see if the van is still parked outside Donovan’s, and it is. It’s two in the morning, what the hell!
Knowing I will not be able to calm down, I decide to drive over there and see if I can find anything from the street. This could jeopardize everything. But I can’t just sit here. Raine is over there doing God knows what! What was she thinking?
It takes me about half an hour to drive over. I park up the road from his house. I can’t risk anyone seeing my car on the camera. Dressed in an oversized sweater and a beanie hat, I approach Raine’s van. Peeking inside to see if I can notice anything, I notice her phone laying on the passenger seat. How stupid can she be? Going inside some unknown house without her phone. I swear to God if…
I don’t finish that thought instead I take a few breaths to calm my anger, and start making my way inside Donovan’s property, heading the exact same way Raine did. I silently sneak up to the gates, dodging the cameras. I know where all the cameras are located, so it’s easy to duck and avoid them. Making my way over to the gate is harder than I thought it would be. It’s all locked up with no way around or over. The situation could not be worse! I’m about to give up, when I notice a big gap on top of the garden wall. It’s strange that the whole wall is covered in wire except for that one section. I climb the wall quickly, but stop once I’m at the top, taking a breather before lowering myself down on the other side. After making my way down, I take cover behind a large concrete orb located on the grass. It’s an unusual location for such a weird looking object, but I’m not here to judge. Peeking around each side of the orb I notice a baseball bat abandoned on the grass. Definitely strange. Deciding to ignore it, I start listening for any sounds or noises. After a few minutes, the only noises I hear are of cars in the distance.
I cautiously start making my way through the grass, hunched down so as not to be noticed. I stop by a large sunflower, hiding my form behind the oversized stem and again, I listen. It’s way too quiet. The only sounds I can hear are the insects and birds. Doesn’t he usually have security sweeping the place? Carefully creeping out from behind the sunflower, I crawl my way toward the large window, until I am directly underneath. Taking another few moments to listen, making sure I can’t hear anyone, I start edging my way up to look through the window. I can’t believe my eyes, seriously, what is this? I swear my eyes are deceiving me. Rubbing them, I have another look, and yes, nothing has changed. I see Raine and Donovan both asleep on the sofa. Cuddled up. That bitch! What is she doing! Why is she like that with him? She is mine. Not his. No, no, no… They will not get away with this!
Bending back down before anyone can see me, I sit here for at least another twenty minutes. Peaking over every few minutes or so, still not fully believing what I see. Not being able to calm my anger. I feel the heat of my rage burning within me. I want to kill them both. I need to strangle her and cut his fucking golden balls off.
Before I do anything to jeopardize all I have worked for, I head back the way I came. I will deal with that slut later. She doesn't get to do this to me. Just as I reach the large sunflower, I feel a sharp pain in the back of my neck, and everything goes black.

Urrrggggh...
“Tell T he's awake.” I can hear the voice but why can't I see who it's coming from? There is something covering my eyes and my head is killing me. I try to rub my head with my hand, but I realize I can’t. My hands are tied. I try to move my legs, but they are the same, tied. What the fuck is going on?
“Where am I?” I shout out with a shaky voice. “What's going on?” No answer. “Who's there?” I yell as loud as I can, but my throat is raw and dry, stinging like a bitch. “What do you want?” Still no answer. I take a moment to contemplate my choices. How do I get out of here? I don't even know where here is! Or how I even got here. I try to remember…What do I remember? I don’t recall anything. The last thing I remember is getting back to my apartment and wondering where Raine is. What the hell happened after that? Why can't I remember?
“What do you want with me?” I try to yell again, but it comes out weaker than the last time. I keep on trying to yell, until I can’t any longer. My throat hurts, my head hurts. My hands and feet are bound, and they’re starting to ache and burn from being locked in the same position. I can’t see a thing. I have no choice but to wait for what’s going to happen next.
