Page 79 of Knot My Band: Part Two
All four of them catch where I’m looking and seem sheepish.
“We haven’t been here in forever,” Chase mumbles.
“And at least Dax got the nest done,” Aiden adds.
Dax and Jack just stare at me with narrowed eyes like they’re trying to solve a problem.
“Are you four nervous about me liking your pack house?” I ask, incredulous.
Aiden nods, but the other three look away.
“You’re being silly! Of course I like it!” I say, looking around again.
Chase perks up immediately, already caught up in my enthusiasm. “It could use some love. Maybe we could get decorations that make you feel more at home. Then it’ll have your stamp all over it, making it perfect.”
I can’t contain my grin.
“Agreed,” Aiden says quietly but with conviction. “It should reflect who we are. Together.”
Jack and Dax share a look and then nod.
“Then that’s what we will do,” Jack says simply.
My heart swells with determination and love. We’re going to build something beautiful here, not just a house, but a home—a sanctuary that mirrors the passion, the warmth, and the fierce love that binds us together. And I can’t wait to get started.
“We have around a week before we go to Europe. Let’s do it before we go,” Chase says.
“Let’s start looking online now,” Aiden offers before scooping me up again and taking me to the couch so we can all snuggle more.
I settle back into the plush cushions of the oversized couch, a contented sigh escaping my lips.
Jack lounges next to me, his arm possessively curled around my shoulder. His alpha presence is both comforting and exhilarating.
My gaze drifts over the room, and I imagine memories we’ve yet to create. I picture cozy nights in, jam sessions by the fireplace, and quiet mornings filled with nothing but cuddles.
I exhale, my chest swelling with love for these men—my mates—who know me so well and strive to blend our lives into a seamless tapestry.
The light through the windows casts a golden glow throughout the house, wrapping us in its embrace. It feels like a physical manifestation of our bond, warm and all-encompassing. I look around at each of them, their distinct personalities shining through even in the smallest gestures: Chase, with his unending optimism; Aiden, with his calming presence; Dax, whose strength is matched only by his unexpected tenderness; and Jack, whose desire to lead is amplified by a profound devotion.

Islide one finger between the velvet drapes, peering out at the sea of lenses and microphones that have become a permanent fixture outside the fence surrounding the pack house.
The flash of cameras is like a relentless storm, blinding and disorienting. I can’t help the twist of frustration in my gut as I watch them, vultures at the gates, waiting to pick apart every aspect of my life. But beneath that irritation, an undercurrent of vulnerability makes my heart race—a reminder of how exposed I am.
I noticed them after my heat, but according to our security team, they’ve been slowly growing since we got here.
“Can you believe this?” I murmur more to myself than to anyone else, but my pack hears. Their presence is a constant comfort, even in the midst of madness.
“Since the festival, it’s been nonstop,” Dax says.
I step back from the window. His voice has a tinge of disbelief. I don’t understand how a simple declaration of love could become such a frenzy.
