Aiden sighs sadly. “May is a master manipulator. She turned people against us, and now she’s found a way to turn Trevor against you.”
“Attacking you feels extreme, but he seemed certain you wouldn’t have died, so maybe they just wanted to damage your voice,” Chase adds.
“Mission achieved,” I say sadly.
Chase wraps his arms around me from behind. “You’ll be singing again in no time, and we will be here for you.”
I nod, breathing in his caramel scent and trying to relax. I don’t achieve it until he purrs for me. The vibrations soak into my bones and help release the tension.
“We should go tell Trevor he’s fired. I want to see the look on his face,” Jack says, smiling evilly.
Dax’s laugh is dark. “Yes, before he fucks with anything else.”
We leave the bus, and the Phoenix Pack Security is there waiting.
“It’s time to fire Trevor. We believe he was behind the attack. Stay close, but let us handle it,” Jack says.
“We agree, he was acting suspicious. We will do our own investigation while we are here,” Saint says.
“Thank you.” I smile.
The leader nods, and they follow us until we run into Trevor on our way inside the venue.

MAY THORNTON REVEALS EVERYTHING IN TELL-ALL INTERVIEW ABOUT HER EXPERIENCE WITH THE EDGE
June 4th
Imarch toward Trevor, my rose gold waves bouncing with each determined step. A new kind of adrenaline takes over.
“Trevor,” I say, keeping my voice level despite the storm of nerves brewing inside me. “We need to talk.”
Trevor looks up from his clipboard, his perpetual frown deepening as he meets my scrutiny. Shock registers on his features.
“Oli, what’s this about?” he asks, a defensive edge already sharpening his words.
I plant my feet firmly, feeling my alphas’ presence nearby like a comforting melody. “You’re fired.”
“Come on, you can’t be serious,” Trevor scoffs, dropping his clipboard onto a nearby road case. He squares up to me, trying to loom over my shorter stature. “You need me, kid.”
“Actually, we don’t,” I retort, standing my ground. My heart hammers a fierce beat, but my voice doesn’t waver. “Not anymore.”
He laughs. “Where is this coming from? Have these alphas been telling you lies about me?”
I refrain from telling him my suspicions so he doesn’t know we are onto him. The way he’s been treating me lately is reason enough.
“No. This is coming from me, and my decision has been made.” I cross my arms, not just to show him I’m serious but to hold onto the fire burning within me.
“Fine,” Trevor snaps, the cords in his neck standing out. “You want to throw away years of hard work? Go ahead! See if I care when this whole thing comes crashing down.”
I stay silent, but he isn’t done.
“Oli, you’re just an omega,” he hisses, his voice laced with venom that tries to seep into my skin. “You think you can lead this band without guidance? You’re delusional.”
“Omega doesn’t mean weak, Trevor,” I shoot back, my voice steel. “I’m strong.”
