Page 60 of Knot My Band: Part Two
“Sorry, love birds,” Chase chirps, laughing.
I lean into him as we stand, craving the contact we’re reluctantly breaking.
Making our way off the plane, the air shifts—a cooler breeze replacing the recycled cabin atmosphere. It feels good against my flushed cheeks, inviting a shiver that isn’t entirely due to the temperature change. Anticipation curls around me, an invisible thread pulling me toward what awaits at the pack house.
“Can’t wait to get you home,” Dax whispers in my ear, slipping an arm around my waist as if he can sense the thrumming energy beginning to course through me.
“Home,” I echo, rolling the word around like a sweet candy on my tongue. The idea alone sends a spark of excitement down to my toes. We weave through the small airport, the world blurring into a backdrop.
Dax leads me to a sleek black SUV idling outside, the embodiment of discretion and comfort. He opens the door for me, and I slide in, immediately sinking into the plush leather that seems to hug me close.
The security team gets into a car behind us to follow.
Chase and Jack bracket me on either side, pushing Dax out of the way.
“You already got her time on the flight. We helped you pull off that song, too, you know?” Chase whines, tossing Dax the keys.
I lean in and kiss him on the cheek. “You’re right.”
I kiss Aiden in the front seat and Jack next. “Thank you to all of you.”
Chase preens. “You’re welcome, little rose.”
I get a cramp that makes me bend over and catches all of my alphas’ attention.
Jack rubs my stomach and pulls me into his arms. “Are you okay, baby girl? Is your heat starting again?”
I lean into his neck and sniff his coffee and pastry scent. “I think it’s going to start soon.”
“I looked up the suppressant shot on the flight. It can make your pre-heat spikes more intense and painful as a side effect.”
A whine slips out before I can stop it. My alphas surround me, and their scents combine into a comforting mix.
“We are so excited for your heat, sunshine,” Aiden whispers, rubbing my legs from the front seat. “We will take care of you.”
“I’m excited, too,” I confess. “I want us to bond at the beginning when I’m still a little lucid and will remember it.”
Their smiles are bright, and Chase leans in to lick the mark he’s already left on my neck.
“That sounds perfect, omega,” Dax whispers.
I pull on Aiden’s shirt. His scent isn’t close enough for me.
He immediately pulls it off and presses it into my hands. I shove it into my face and inhale his scent deeply. Chocolate chip cookies surround me, and my omega settles.
“Why don’t we take care of you so you can make it back to the pack house, baby girl?” Jack asks.
I nuzzle into him and nod.
The hum of the car’s engine is a low purr that vibrates through me, but it’s nothing compared to the electric currentzipping to my core as Chase and Jack shower my neck with kisses. I’m sandwiched between these two alphas, their heat seeping into me.
I tilt my head to grant them better access, feeling the flush rise on my cheeks as they chuckle against my skin.
“You smell too damn good,” Jack murmurs, his voice a playful growl that tickles my earlobe.
“Agreed,” Chase chimes in, his breath warm against the other side of my throat.
I let out a soft giggle, winking at Dax’s eyes, meeting mine in the rearview mirror.
