“Then prove it,” Chase states simply. “Drop the May idea, and let’s focus on getting Oli well and back on stage.”
“Where she belongs,” Dax finishes, his voice a low rumble of support.
There’s a beat of silence before Trevor sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Fine. We’ll discuss alternatives,” he concedes, though I can tell by the tightness of his shoulders that he’s not pleased.
But as Trevor gathers his papers and excuses himself, saying he needs to make some calls, that little niggle of doubt becomes a gnawing hole. I watch him leave, noting the slight spring in his step that seems out of place. The puzzle pieces are shifting, clicking into place, forming a picture I’m not sure I want to see.
At least I have my pack and my protectors, and right now, the way they’re standing up for me makes my heart swell with gratitude.
“Thanks for having my back,” I say with a smile, feeling a rush of warmth from the solidarity surrounding me. “We need to talk about Trevor. This isn’t right.”
“Agreed,” Jack says, looking around. “In private. Too many people come in and out of the dressing room.”
And we go to do just that.

RUMORS SPECULATE OVER THE EVENTS OF THE ALPHA AND OMEGA TOUR. IS OLI HART SAFE?

The second the door closes behind us on the bus, I blurt out, “I think Trevor is behind the attack on me.”
My heart is racing with unease while I wait for their response.
Jack nods, wrapping an arm around me. “I agree, but tell me your reasoning first.”
I chew on my bottom lip, gathering my thoughts. “The way he treats me has drastically changed on this tour. I saw him making out with May backstage at our show but was never told she was there, and he suggested that she should replace me on this tour. It benefits them too much to be a coincidence.”
Dax nods, his expression darkening. “He was too pushy,” he grunts, and Aiden echoes the sentiment with a nod.
“He wouldn’t take no for an answer about May,” Chase adds.
“Exactly!” I exclaim, relieved they see it too. “I need to know if he’s behind the changes in security. If he’s involved in what happened to me—”
“We agree, Oli. We’ve got your back,” Jack interrupts, fierce protectiveness flashing in his eyes. “We’re in this together. Weneed to know if he’s a threat, but either way, I don’t want him around you.”
“Thanks, guys. I knew I could count on you,” I breathe out, my gratitude mingling with determination. With these alphas by my side, I feel like we can face anything.
“Let’s figure this out then,” Jack says with a glint in his eye. “What can we do?”
I pull out my phone; my fingers dance across the screen as I dial the number of the one person I completely trust on the label. “My friend, Anders, is an exec for the label. We’ve known each other since we were kids. He can help us.”
I sense jealousy from Chase through our bond and look up to see it reflected on the other alphas’ faces.
“Don’t worry, he’s like a brother to me. Since I was an only child, he filled that role. I’ve never seen him in a romantic sense,” I reassure them.
The phone trills once before it’s picked up on the other end.
“Olive! How’s the tour going? I hear the numbers are excellent,” Anders booms from down the line.
“Hey, Anders,” I say, leaning into the speakerphone, “We need to talk. I have the Edge here with me… who are my alphas,” I add that last part to the end on instinct.
Anders knows what a big deal that is for me.
“Do I need to come put the fear of God in them?” Anders says too calmly down the line.
