She tugged against the bindings like she wanted to sneak in extra touches right now.

“Relax,” I cooed. “Take what your alphas want to give you.”

The way she melted had satisfaction blossoming from every direction in the bond. She trusted us, and that was a beautiful thing.

It was a humbling experience to know that after all she had been through, she felt safe enough to let us blindfold her and tie her to the damn fence before the sun had even fully risen.

I gazed skyward at a sweep of pale blue above us. Keeping in control wasn’t something I typically had to worry about when there were four of us to tend her, but I wanted to keep fucking my omega’s perfect mouth for as long as I could.

Each time one of the others made her shatter, she sent a cascade of pleasure through all of us, and I was forced to pause, holding her head with trembling hands.

Tension coiled tight at the base of my spine. I tried to hold off, but Riley could feel how close I was and used her wicked tongue to her advantage so she could claim every drop I spilled over it. I came with her name on my lips, satisfaction from both of us burning bright in my chest.

The connection could be overwhelming, but I needed it. Every flicker of her served as a reminder that she had come home to me. Instead of thinking about the years we’d missed, I focused on all the years ahead of us.

I pulled free and sank to my knees. Dakota fucked her over the edge and I drank down her desperate cry. She pressed her forehead to mine, trying to catch her breath right along with me.

I tipped my head to kiss her again. “I love you so much.”

Riley whimpered. “I love you more.”

I waited for her to catch her breath after Dakota and Levi had pushed her over the edge three more times before bringing up the plan for the day. “I’ve got a surprise for you if you’re tired of getting railed.”

She pouted. “ Never tired of that, but now I want to know.”

“It’s actually multiple surprises, but I’m not going to tell you all of them in case any of them fall through.” I untied one set of wrist and ankle while Cash freed the other, and we eased her upright.

“How many surprises are we talking about here?”

"Hard to say exactly. Some of them might be double surprises.”

“ Cooper , we both know I’m not a patient soul. Let’s start on the surprises!”

I laughed, gathering her close and hoisting her over the fence so she could perch her ass on the saddle blanket. “They’re coming throughout the day.”

She purred, nuzzling my cheek. “Well, this was a lovely surprise to start the day. Very open to being lassoed, blindfolded, and railed in the future. Do I get to know the next surprise?”

“Soon. First you have to get dressed and we have to drive into town.”

“Okay, but I’m going to need snacks or I might starve.” She kissed my cheek, leaning in each direction to plant one on our packmates too.

Dakota dressed hastily and scooped her up, carrying her like a princess. The rest of us dressed and flanked her in case anyone was out and about early so they didn’t get an eyeful of Riley’s ass.

As obvious as her joy was from the outside, it was even louder inside the bond.

Getting to experience the slow build of her contentment with each day that passed was a privilege I would never take for granted.

Her happiness steadied me. The more I leaned into our connection, the easier it was to let my own happiness sit at the forefront.

Worries were quieter, pain was duller, and regrets fell apart under the weight of what we all shared.

The drive into town involved Riley cuddled in the back between Dakota and me, sipping a coffee and eating the fruit salad Cash had prepped for her.

A lot of the surprises had come to fruition around the same time and we had all worked on different avenues on them.

We figured we might as well make a day of giving them to her.

Our first stop in town was the diner for a proper breakfast. Levi's cousin, Jensen, was already waiting for us. We crowded into the booth to order our food.

Jensen passed Riley an envelope. "Bit belated, but Dakota told me you might want this.”

Riley flipped up the top and pulled out a sheet of paper. “Oh my god.”

I already knew what it was, but I peeked over at the copy of Darrell Decker's death certificate anyway.

"Dakota is absolutely correct. Thank you for this. I’m going to hang it on the wall right next to my restraining order against Darlene.

Not that I anticipate her causing too many problems after a twenty-five-year sentence for arson and kidnapping, but better safe than sorry.

” Riley tucked it back into the envelope and held it to her chest. “Have they been causing any problems since he died?”

Jensen clucked his tongue. "Yes and no. From everything I've heard, the other Decker boys are happy to fill the vacuum Darrell left behind. They went along with the story they were given, that he swerved avoiding an animal, wasn’t wearing his seat belt, and got ejected.

I imagine they didn't want anyone looking deeper into things, so they let it be even if they knew where he was going and why.

I'm glad to know they haven't been by to bother you since.”

“Me too.” Riley sighed, leaning into me. “It’s so weird to not have to worry about him or Darlene. Good weird, but still strange. I’m grateful for the physical reminder.”

I slid my own envelope onto the table in front of her.

She looked at me curiously. “Not a reminder, but definitely interesting. I don’t snoop the papers that often anymore, but glad I did in this case.”

Riley pulled out the article I’d printed. In big, bold letters the headline read:

GERMAN BILLIONAIRES NAILED FOR TAX FRAUD

Investigation launched into connected New York firm, Rochford & Reed

A spike of panic was followed by relief as she read through. “Holy shit.”

“Share with the class?” Cash asked. He and I already knew what it said, but the others didn’t.

“The two German alphas I almost packed up with got arrested.” Her eyes darted over the page, reading further. “Felony tax evasion. They’re looking into the company Bruce’s and Bryan’s families own, too. Talk about dodging a fucking bullet.”

“And related to that,” said Cash, “you should check the balance of the omega trust they set up for you.”

Confusion rolled down the bond, but Riley acquiesced, pulling out her phone and opening up the banking app. Pure disbelief covered her face. “ What ?”

Cash grinned. “Yeah, I was able to look into it all for you as your first bond, and I’m guessing the reason they were so desperate to get you back is because they hid a lot of their money in your omega trust. Not entirely sure what they planned to do after that, but the law protects everything in the trust despite the various government agencies confiscating their personal assets, which means?—”

“I’m a millionaire ?”

"Indeed you are.” Cash beamed.

Tears slid down her cheeks in a clash of joy and anxiety. “What the fuck ?” she whispered in awe. “What am I supposed to do with that much money?”

“You’ll have time to figure it out,” Dakota said soothingly, taking her hand in his, and she held on tightly. “No need to rush.”

She’d find ways to do good with the money.

Everything for the restaurant was already paid for, so the options were limitless.

I had an inkling that she’d dump the money into helping out kids in foster care, and probably something with animals, given her affinity for horses and her favorite guard mule.

“Are there more surprises? I don’t know if my heart can take more.”

I kissed her cheek, loving that she settled with the contact. “Just one, but we won’t know if it’s going to work until we get there.”

Riley was antsy as hell to get a move on, but it wasn’t time yet. We ate our way through breakfast, Jensen excusing himself to head back to work after he finished his coffee.

“Do you think Bryan is going to get tangled up in all the nonsense with Bruce, Karl, and Oskar?” Riley asked as she picked at the remainder of her pancake. “I don’t really believe he was involved, but I wouldn’t put it past the others.”

Cash shrugged. “Hasn’t been arrested yet. Still skittish as hell out at Carter’s. I imagine if he was going to get into shit, they’d have arrested him the same time as the others so he didn’t have time to run.”

Her shoulders relaxed and she nodded thoughtfully. “I’m glad he got away from them. I know I only adjusted as fast as I did because of you guys, and I wish he had that too.”

Cash shrugged. “Maybe he should quit being a chickenshit and get off neutralizers so he can get himself a scent match, then.”

“Cashy, it’s not that easy for everyone,” Riley admonished.

“Give him some time. His whole life exploded, his former packmates were arrested, and his family is under investigation. There’s nothing wrong with taking it slow.

He’s got some growing to do before he should get involved with another omega anyway. ”

“Fiiine.”

My phone alarm went off, letting me know it was time to start heading to the final surprise. Only a few intersecting minutes were possible, so we had to be exact. We paid for the food and walked the short distance down the street to a huge building.

“What’re we doing at the feed store?” Riley tilted her head, examining the sign as if it would reveal the answers she sought.

I nudged her inside. As we walked down the main section, I looked down aisles until I found the one we needed. Spinning Riley had her freezing, shock and excitement tumbling down the bond before she bolted toward the only other occupant of the aisle. I blew out a relieved breath.

Careful coordination through Levi with the vet the Deckers employed gave us an idea of Maisie’s schedule and when they let her out into the world.

We couldn’t get her out of there when they kept her children at the compound whenever Maisie was out, but small connections to the outside world meant a lot.

My phone buzzed.

Morgan:

Are you not updating me because it didn’t work or did I get the time wrong?

Cooper:

It worked. We only have a few minutes with the schedule they keep Maisie on, but we have someone on the inside who can help, at least.

Morgan:

FUCK YEAH

Tell her I say hi if you get the chance

Give both her and Riley the biggest hug from me

Cooper:

I’ll hug Riley, but I don’t imagine Maisie would be as receptive.

Morgan:

FAIR

I’ve got to sneak out for a client, but I was impatient for an update

Love you

Cooper:

Love you too

I’d put my life on hold to protect Morgan and I’d let myself live again when Riley finally returned.

I’d spared Morgan the life Maisie lived, and guarded Riley from it as much as I could.

Now another needed us, and despite my reservations, I was at least willing to facilitate moments of peace, even if it wasn’t as much as I wanted to do.

I turned back to the aisle as both omegas embraced. I wished we could do more. A lot of folks wanted the innocents out of that compound, and the day it happened was getting closer. Patience was difficult, but an unfortunate necessity.

Riley and Maisie only had about five minutes to talk before Maisie was forced to head back to the compound with the items she’d picked up. We helped her load it into the back of her truck to make up for the extra time.

Watching her leave had Riley’s anxiety soaring in the bond.

Levi and I looped our arms around her, and it helped a bit but obviously couldn’t undo the weight of Maisie’s existence with the Deckers.

“Was that an okay surprise?” I asked softly as Maisie’s truck disappeared from view.

“It was an amazing surprise. Thank you.” Riley purred softly as we surrounded her. “The whole day has been wild and not at all what I expected.”

I kissed the top of her head. “Good day overall, though?”

“Mhmm.” Riley leaned her cheek on my shoulder. “A good day in a great life. I love you all so much.”

Even as the words formed on my tongue, I knew the others would join the little ritual Riley and I had created, and it perfectly encapsulated the life we’d built together. Four voices echoed one another. “I love you more.”

“That’s not possible, but I’m always willing to let you try.”
