Petra giggled, the idea of a bachelorette party, of marrying those guys... “Deal. I mean I don’t need you to be jealous.” She winked.
"It's been so long since I was with a guy that I don't think I'd even care about dick size," Fiona laughed, lightening up finally. "I'd just be grateful."
"Besides, if they're big enough to look really impressive, the guy really has to know what he's doing with it, otherwise it's just uncomfortable," Victoria pointed out.
“They know.” She giggled and blushed, her mind going to both Rix and Carter. “Gods, do they know.”
"Yeah, yeah, rub it in why don't you?" Victoria shook her head. "Actually kinda selfish if you ask me. The rest of us out here in the desert of eligible men and you just snap up seven all to yourself..." Her smile said she was joking but there was a tiredness there. It was true none of them had dated in a while and there was a serious dearth of decent men. The dating scene was a nightmarish hellscape from which few escaped unscathed and attached.
But ultimately was she any better? Seven killers, ones that could snap on her in a heartbeat. But that was the beauty of it, wasn’t it? The danger of it made their time together sweeter. Did she think she would service them? Yes. Did she think she would do it unscathed? No, but it didn’t matter. She loved them. And she had a sneaking suspicion they all loved her as well.
“Okay, but the biggest question is...would you want seven?”
Victoria appeared to give it some sincere thought. "I think I'd take three," she said finally. "I think that's the optimal amount of man I could take."
“Four,” Carlee said. “They can keep each other busy.” She laughed.
"You know, I think I'd be okay with just two," Fiona said. "That's enough to keep me satisfied and keep on top of the house chores."
Petra shook her head and sighed. “The three of you are hopeless. But I should go. I’m almost late for work, and Vic, don’t you have to get to class? What is this, your last week of TA duties?”
"Yeah." She fist-pumped. "Have a great day at work, chica. And no more secrets, okay?"
“You know, this wasn’t exactly a secret...” she hedged. “But yeah. No more secrets. I love you guys.”
“Love you, too, doll. Slap a few asses for me.” Carlee winked. “Call soon, yeah?”
"I'll send you all the updated calendars," Fiona said, ever the organizer. "Love you, guys. Be safe."
She switched off with a wave and sighed. Telling them everything was going to be hard, but this was a good start.
Grabbing her bag, she slipped on her shoes and left, her mind on her guys.
Chapter 26
“Good morning, OfficerDouritz,” Petra offered as she walked up to the gallery. The police officer was standing in front of the gallery window, and nowhere close to his beat, which was supposed to be her side of Broad Street.
