Page 12 of He Who Sleeps
“Oh, that’s nice...that’s it, flutter...fuck, let’s have another.”
In her haze she closed her eyes and she felt his hand on her face. “Open. Look at me. Always look.”
She opened her eyes as he gripped her throat, and she surrendered to him, her body softening, and she could feel his triumph.
And she reached up and pulled his mask off.
Surprise hit his beautiful face...a face she actually knew, if just in passing. She had seen him before, at the coffee shop, and the shelter fundraiser. Her brain remembered seeing him, thinking he was beautiful, but not one of her seven.
“Em... Emerson?” she breathed. She thought that was his name.
“Fuck.” He cursed, but he didn’t pull his hand from her body. His eyes looked down at her, startling blue with silver flecks, and she arched into him. Emerson Grant was Neon and he was fucking perfect. “Why did you do that, Pet?” he asked, squeezing her throat. She gasped and licked her lips, the constriction setting her off. She flooded his hand, moaning, and he smirked. “Little cumslut...fuck, you’re perfect.” He leaned in, his forehead to hers like he normally did with the mask on, and let up on the squeeze.
“Yourlittle cumslut,” she whispered, her throat raw. “All of yours.”
There was a look of regret in his eyes. “I’m going to have to kill you, Pet...”
“If you must, but seeing you changes nothing between us,” she said softly.
“Then why do it?” His eyes narrowed. “If it didn’t matter...”
“So I know who I’m fantasizing about when I fuck myself?” She arched again. “I needed to know.”
He was quiet for long moments, his face giving nothing he was thinking away. “You...you’re playing with fire.”
“No, I’m playing with you and your glorious cock.” She reached between them to squeeze his shaft and he grunted. “Plague likes fire,” she offered. “Do what you must, Neon.” She used his mask name, letting him know nothing had changed. “I’ll go with a smile on my face.”
“Well we can’t have that,” he murmured. “The point of a sacrifice is fear and pain. You need to forget this, Pet.” His whisper was light as air. “You can’t tell any of them.”
“It’s between us, Neon,” she said softly. “Our secret.”
He scoffed. “What’s another secret, right?”
Pulling away from her, he stuck his fingers in his mouth and closed his eyes. “Fuck, you taste like peaches. Do you always taste like peaches?” he asked absently and then shook himself and looked to the clock hanging on the wall above her head. “We only have a few moments.” He pushed off her. “You need to be blindfolded.”
“Kinky,” she giggled.
“It will be.”
He set her up but didn’t say another word, and her mind was reeling, thinking about the fact that she had been successful with three of them, and she knew all three of them from a distance in her daily life. Did she knowallof them? Arching as he tied her arms behind her back, she looked at him, a question in her eyes.
“So you don’t try that again. They aren’t like me; they might fuck this up.” He leaned in and kissed her lips. “Have fun.” He winked as he settled the blindfold over her face and slipped his mask on. Then he was gone and she was alone, void of sight and waiting for what was to come next, a smile gracing her lips.
