Fury

I half smile as Tate’s giggles echo in the garage while Blade chuckles at her antics with his old lady before grunting as he loosens the bolt on the exhaust of old man Trivers’ Chevrolet, and I catch it with the trolley jack, shaking my head.

Fucking stupid car.

It’s the car he drove his wife in after they got married, the car he brought his kids and grandkids home in.

Since his wife passed, he refuses to drive anything else, which some people believe is romantic, while me and Blade, well, we fucking hate the thing, but he promised his grandfather before he passed to always look after his friend, old man Trivers.

Bet he didn’t expect the thing to be in the garage at least four times a fucking week which normally, Blade is the one to fix it up, but this time, it’s a two-man fucking job.

Yippee for me…not.

“Hey, have you guys heard of Angel’s Kids?” Luna asks as she places two cups on the bench, and I look at her as I gently pull the exhaust out from underneath the car on the ramp.

“Isn’t that the nonprofit that raises money for kids in the system?” I confirm before walking over, wiping my hands with my rag, then grabbing my coffee mug with a nod of thanks before taking a sip and sighing with contentment.

Fuck she makes a good cup of joe.

Luna nods, her eyes shining with pride as she says, “Yeah, they also focus on helping the kids find their forever homes. They’ve already rehomed over forty kids since opening four years ago, but no one knows who the founder is.

Apparently, they’ve managed to raise funds to open a children’s home in town for children aged between fourteen through seventeen, and it will be based on top educational support.

They are seeking contributions from local businesses to help sustain the operation, including donations of food, clothing, and other essential items. The staff will be paid through the nonprofit with the money they raise while scholarships have been offered for several kids that will live there. ”

I raise a brow, pretty impressed with whoever thought of the organization to begin with and how far they’ve managed to take it in such a short amount of time, while Blade sighs, “You want the club to donate, don’t you?

” Reading through his old lady and I chuckle lightly as she bats her eyelashes at him.

“It’s an amazing cause,” I add, agreeing with Luna.

“There are over four hundred thousand kids in the system right now, and if we can contribute to an organization that is helping the kids, then I’m all for it, and I’m sure the brothers will be as well.

Besides, think how much positivity the club will gain if we become one of the main benefactors.

The town will love us even more than they already do, and I’m sure the Furies will want to contribute as well. ”

Blade nods, then states, “I’ll speak with Medic before bringing it up in church to ensure the brothers won’t miss out on their earnings.

” At that, Luna squeals, making me chuckle before I take another sip of the coffee as Tate wraps her arms around my legs.

I look down with a smile, seeing her whole attention is on me.

This little girl, fuck I’m lucky to call her mine. I just wish her mama was Skylar…

“You alright, sugar plum?” I ask, and she nods before giving me a little pout and asks, “Can I go see Sky-Sky?”

Blade and Luna look at her with sadness, and I half smile.

We were supposed to have a daddy/daughter day, but Blade called, knowing Ivy isn’t starting in the garage yet and Randy’s off somewhere with his daughter, however, Tate didn’t mind coming here instead.

Nodding, I agree, “Yeah, baby, we’ll go see Skylar after I’ve helped Blade with the job.”

Tate squeals before rushing over to her own workbench, where her plastic tools are with the pink cars that she likes to ‘fix,’ and I grin.

She looks fucking adorable.

Anna bought her some pink coveralls for her birthday, while my mama bought her pink boots last week before leaving with Dad on a cruise.

It’s something they like to do once a year, though Mama hates that I won’t allow her to take Tate.

“Leo?” Luna whispers, and I look his way to see his focus on Tate, and I sigh.

“You good, brother?” I ask, and he hums and replies, “Yeah, I just can’t understand why she’ll have a relationship with Tate but not us,” he looks at me, “This can’t just be because Dad got you to lie to her, there has to be something more, I just don’t know what.”

I nod, knowing he’s right.

While Psycho was in a coma, Skylar spent every day at the hospital with Ivy, watching Hudson with her, and every day she ignored Brick, me, and Blade. When Blade asked if she’d speak to him, she told him she wasn’t ready, and that was months ago, and she still won’t talk to him.

“For what it’s worth, I don’t think Anna is the reason why she wants nothing to do with you and the club. I think something else is keeping her away, she’s too caring to just block you out over your mama” Luna adds, “She tried to save me remember?”

Blade nods, and I swallow hard.

Brock was about to rape Luna in an alleyway near campus when Skylar walked past and stopped him, not realizing he ended up raping her anyhow that evening.

Blade tortured the fucker before Luna, the brave woman, inflicted every pain he inflicted on her over the years in front of everyone, Anna ensuring she got her closure.

Something no one wanted her to have, not wanting to have a death on her hands but Anna knew better.

It was then she apparently saw the love her old man had for her because he allowed her to take Luna to the torture chamber in the basement, calling him his given name once before distancing herself again.

Luna chopped his dick off and forced him to choke on it, and she still sleeps at night like a baby, her demons slayed by her own hands.

“Son,” Brick says as he walks into the garage, getting me outta my head, and I internally groan.

I barely speak to the man, and he’s lucky I haven’t rammed my fist into his face for the shit he’s caused over the years regarding his daughter. It hasn’t stopped him from trying to speak to me, mainly to see if Skylar had spoken to me which she never had.

All Skylar talks to is my daughter and Ivy apparently.

“Have you seen your mama?” he asks Blade, and I look at him with a furrowed brow because that is not what I expected him to ask.

His face is tight, and anger etches off him.

“Not since yesterday. Why?” Blade says while Luna adds, “I saw her this morning in the kitchen cleaning up the mess the brothers made while the club girls painted their nails. She said she had some errands to run today before she cut a bitch – her words, not mine.”

If Brick didn’t look ready to smash this garage apart that my daughter was currently in, I would have snorted.

Brick jaw ticks, and I tilt my head and ask, “What’s wrong?”

He sniffs hard and admits, “I think she’s seeing someone…”

My mouth parts in shock while Blade instantly denies, “No, she isn’t. For years she’s had a chance to cheat after that prospect, but she hasn’t. She’s been focused on me, on the club…”

“Until she lost her old lady cut, you mean,” Brick reminds Blade, and he flinches and admits, “And I made a mistake with that Dad. I was angry for Luna. She called her a patch chaser, a liar, and hit her.”

Luna snorts, “While you stood back and allowed it, believing it yourself, so get off your high horse, Leo. You were to blame in that scenario, not your mama, who has been my rock since finding out about my trauma.”

Blade scowls at her while Brick shakes his head, running a hand through his hair with frustration as he says, “I’ve messed up a lot over the years,” he side-eyes me, “but I love your mama. She’s been pulling away over the years I know this, I’ve felt it.

I’ve treated her like crap over jealousy, causing her more pain than she caused me, allowing the club to make her an outcast but I can’t lose her. ”

I swallow hard at his truth, but I can’t feel bad for him.

I know he’s the reason why I met Skylar, but deep down, I know we would have met one way or another. We are destined, and his forcing me to lie to her is what broke her trust in me.

“Mama isn’t having an affair, Dad. She’s probably got herself a job, you know the thing she stated she wanted not long ago,” Blade says, and his dad sighs, instantly denying, “We’d know if she had a job, Blade. Venom placed an alert to flag up her phone and card.”

“Unless she has another phone and card you don’t know about,” Luna adds, and I nod in agreement.

For hours on end, Anna disappears and has done since finding out about Skylar, like being around Brick hurts her too much, but then again, he did tell her him fathering another child had fuck all to do with her, and she should stay out of it.

She’s just doing as he asked.

Sighing, I say, “If she has a job, then that is probably her way of coping with the fact you belittled her in front of people she saw as family and because you selfishly told her to get over the fact you fathered a child with someone else all because she made a mistake,” he scowls my way, but I shrug and remind him, “You push her, she’ll run a fucking mile, everyone already knows she wants out, if she didn’t she would have taken your cut back.

Let her have her life while trying to make things right with her. ”

“And what about her seeing someone?” he asks, “I heard her the other day on the phone, she said ‘I love you,’ for fucks sake!”

I roll my eyes as Luna snaps, “She says that to me on the phone, and I’m pretty sure I was talking to her the other day about paint ideas for the nursery, so it was probably to me!”

Brick drops his head in defeat while I shake mine. He’s making up shit in his head out of fear.

“Daddy, hurry work!” Tate demands, and we chuckle as Brick raises a brow at me.

I sigh and admit, “She wants to go see Sky,” and he swallows hard but nods.

“She still thinks the sun shines out of her mother's ass?” he asks, and I nod because it’s the truth.

Her bond with her mother may be the reason why she wants nothing to do with us, but again, it could be because we lied.

“Alright, sugar plum, let’s go see Skylar,” I say to Tate three hours later as I unstrap her from the front of my Harley before taking her helmet off.

Tate grins as she rushes over to the dark oak glass door, and I quickly follow with a chuckle, opening it for her and letting her in.

Light gray walls come into view, with a dark blue wall behind the reception desk, which is white.

Sky’s decorated the place nice and warm with a light gray couch against the wall, plants on either side and two armchairs with a glass table in the middle full of magazines.

How in the fuck did she afford this?

She worked part-time at the doctor's office while doing a double major.

“Fury, hi,” Caitlyn says, and I internally roll my eyes to see her unbuttoning three of the buttons on her white blouse, showing her lace bra.

Caitlyn is a typical patch chaser who got turned down to be a clubwhore after she became obsessed with Viper. He fucked her twice and regretted when she wouldn’t leave him alone, then lost it after hearing he’d been seeing someone that not even us brothers have met yet.

I haven’t touched her, and neither has any other brother, the woman is becoming desperate.

“Button up your fucking shirt!” I snap with a demand, and she flinches at my tone, but I ignore her and watch as Tate opens Sky’s office door and squeals, “Sky-Sky”

Ignoring the desperate bitch to my right, I grin and walk over in time to see Skylar stand and catch my daughter, looking at her with shock but also full of love that makes my heart melt as she asks, “What are you doing here, sweetie pie?”

I lean against the doorframe and cross my arms over my chest as I state, “She wanted to come see you,” her gorgeous dark blue eyes come my way in shock before they move to my neck like always, and I eye her skirt suit outfit that fits her like a glove and my cock twitches.

Fuck I miss her…

I look back at her face that is in full view with her hair in a neat bun, a few strands framing her face to see her eyes still on my neck, or more the large tattoo of her name I got at the same time as getting Tate’s after she was born, only Tate’s is on my forearm.

“You’re not too busy, are you?” I confirm, not wanting to interrupt her work, and she blinks, breaking her connection with my neck. She clears her throat before looking at Tate, who bats her eyelashes at her, making me smirk because, of course, Sky melts.

“I’m never too busy for you, sweetie pie,” she says to my daughter, ignoring me yet again, while said daughter squeals in delight.

Shaking my head at Sky’s stubbornness, I push off the doorframe and walk over to the chair in front of her desk, taking a seat while she carries Tate over to a corner full of toys that I know are for Tate.

I tilt my head at them, and Psycho’s words from a few months ago come back to me…

“How has she got such a good bond with Skylar?”

It’s a good question because it’s only been these past few months since Psycho was in a coma that I’ve been getting my mama to bring Tate to her once I realized how close they were.

So who in the fuck has made the effort for them to have such a good relationship…

Their giggles echo around me, and I lean back in the chair, closing my eyes as I cross my arms over my chest, listening to them. I allow the sounds to soothe me while promising to find out who helped them get a bond and in turn, giving me an advantage to winning Sky’s heart again.
