Blood.
Fire.
Death.
None of it ended how I wanted it to.
Unless…
Repulsion wound through me as I stopped Roderik by wrapping my hand around his cock. It wouldn’t go all the way—it was too big. But I needed to touch it to see if the alternate timeline I had in mind was possible.
A purr rumbled through his chest, activating my instincts and those of Mina behind me. My body readied itself for what an Alpha’s purr meant.
Because it would only hurt more if I wasn’t prepared. I knew the logic of my biology, but it only pissed me off.
I funneled that anger into my soul, using it to accomplish my goals.
“Little Omega,” he said, his voice rumbling with the strong purr. “I’m afraid it’s not your turn yet. As much as I’d love to indulge, I must prepare myself for your power.” His eyes fluttered closed as I gripped him as hard as I could.
“You will not touch her,” I demanded.
The timelines fought me, not wishing to move.
I forced my way onward as if walking through thick sludge. The threads of time snapped at my ankles and hissed in my ear, not liking to be dominated.
Youwilllisten to me!I commanded.
Roderik hissed in a breath when he jolted forward a step. I stared at the metallic point now protruding from his chest.
Axel’s sword.
Roderik didn’t have to move to retaliate. He channeled my magic, sending out a shock wave that made the entire room bow.
Axel flung against the wall and I winced when bones crunched at the impact. He writhed on the floor, growling and snarling.
Run, Gina!he demanded in my head.
I would not run. Never again would I be the Omega who played cat and mouse.
I would stand and fight.
“Move,” Roderik said, overriding my efforts with a simple word.
One enforced with an Alpha’s command.
My eyes widened as my body betrayed me and I stumbled out of the way.
“Stay,” he added, securing me to the floor with the force of the word. “And watch me touch whatever the fuck I want, Omega.”
Mina screeched as Roderik turned on her and snarled, then slashed at her clothes. I’d only managed to make him more crazed with lust. He reached behind his back and pulled out the sword, the wound instantly closing and knitting back together with silver strands as he flung the bloodied blade to the floor.
Roderik couldn’t be killed. Not by Axel’s sword. Not by me.
Only at the ordained time when the timelines converged between him and Seifiek would that happen.
Mina swatted at Roderik, her efforts fruitless as he mauled her. His claws raked over her chest, leaving deep red lines as he ripped the clothes from her body. He didn’t seem to care if he ripped her to pieces, too.
My eyes widened.
