Page 26 of Fortune Fae Academy
Accessing the heat of my tattoo, a tiny flame sprouted on my fingertip.
I raised a brow at it.
Well, that’s new.
I wasn’t a Fire Fae, but I had some sort of link to fire magic because of whatever my mother had done to me. I’d suppressedit until now. Or maybe it had taken the changes that my mate-circle had wrought in me to bring about my abomination side.
“The council is going to have a field day with this,” I muttered as I wandered through the room.
Now that I’d unlocked my “gift,” there was no way I was going to be able to hide it.
Hopefully my mother had some sort of contingency plan for when this happened. I made a mental note to visit her as soon as I could.
My flame illuminated the room, revealing an aquarium full of colorful, exotic fish. I stared at it as I realized it didn’t have any glass walls to keep it in.
The fish stayed put, probably having learned things the hard way, but sprouts of seaweed poked out of the sides.
A cry from a nearby room drew my attention away.
Sending my tiny flame glowing brighter, I ignored the stab of pain from my arm. I wasn’t sure how my power worked yet, but there was probably a limit, one I was quickly approaching.
I’d used most of my Dust working through the backward Tunneling spell, and now I had a feeling I was literally burning what was left of my stores to fuel my flame.
But something made me keep it alight as I followed the sound.
Someone was here.
I walked past the cabinets with tiny iridescent starfish adorning each handle. Then I turned a corner, finding a door cracked open.
Pushing it inward, my eyes went wide.
Gina arched her back, crying out.
Her legs spread.
As a Water Fae fucked her brains out.
My careful conservationof Dust vanished as I imploded into an enraged inferno.
“Get off of her, you asshole!” I shouted as I stormed the bed.
The Water Fae with his dick plunged into my Omega blinked at me with a startled blue gaze.
“Who the fuck are y—”
He didn’t get a chance to finish his question. My fiery fist met his jaw, accomplishing both tasks of getting him off my Omega and satisfying my rage.
How dare a Water Fae force himself onto my Omega.
Had she managed to Tunnel away from the Collegium only to become a victim here?
Was that why I had been drawn to this location?
Flames consumed the bedroom where he had defiled her. I was going to kill him.
Then burn him.
Then send his ashes dancing on the strands of the Web until Etu himself ate him whole.
