Page 43 of Fighting for Her Heart
I jerk back my hips, realizing I have been rubbing my hardness against her. Allowing myself one final long sucking swallow, I release my fangs.
“Take her!” I shout to the other men.
Letting her go, I race from the room, not even waiting to make sure one of the others was close enough to catch her in case she was caught off balance. Leaning against the closed bedroom door, I fight to regain my sanity and control.
“Everything go okay?” a voice asks, and it takes me a moment to register that the voice is Evanora’s, and she is standing in the doorway to the kitchen, just down the hall.
“Yes. But I need air.” I rush out of the house, racing around the field a dozen times before I feel even close to myself again. Close to a person who does not want to hurt himself or worse—others. Spotting Evanora on the porch, I stop a few yards ahead of her.
The witch comes down the steps to join me. “You’re bleeding.” She gestures toward my fisted hands. Blood is dripping from them to wet the ground.
I unfurl my fingers, releasing my nails from the base of my thumbs where they were imbedded. “I will heal. It won’t take a minute.”
“It must be very difficult for you to resist her,” she says.
Shame floods my body, making me want to drive my fingernails into my flesh again, and so I keep my fingers stiff and extended to avoid slipping into that particularly hideous shame spiral.
“I am fine.” The sky is lightening with the impending dawn and I fight my instinct to retreat indoors. I gesture toward the fire, now reduced to glowing embers. “Shall we sit?”
Fastening the buttons on her thick wool coat, Evanora nods and then we walk side by side to the fire, and she settles onto a rock.
I select four dry logs, add them to the bright orange coals and then sit down too, waiting for them to alight.
Chapter Fifteen
Ember
I wakeunder a thick pile of heat that’s comprised of Axe and Ryker. I can barely move, but I’m so happy hearing and feeling each of their slow breaths as they expand and then contract their ribs. I love how easily I can detect each of their heartbeats under those ribs, my bear’s heart thumping harder but more slowly than my pirate’s.
After Zuben fed from me last night, I lost count of how many times each of them fucked me, and I have even less idea how many times I came. They both fed from me too, and me from them, and the only thing that could possibly make me happier is if Zuben had been willing to join us.
“Hey.” Ryker’s eyes open, and he kisses me gently. “How did you sleep?”
“Like a log.” I nuzzle against his cheek. “A well-fucked log.”
“Speaking of logs—“ Ryker gestures his head toward Axe on the other side of me, his huge leg over my hip and trapping me against him.
“What time is it?” Axe’s deep voice rumbles through my body and then he slides against my back.
“Who the fuck knows.” Ryker cups one of my breasts and kisses me.
Axe’s morning wood parts my legs to rest between my inner thighs.
“That feels amazing,” I say, loving how his rod takes up most of the space from my knees to my sex.
He’s just resting it there, it only moves when we breathe, but his hard presence makes me unbelievably wet, my inner muscles pulsing and crying to be filled.
“Up for a quickie?” Ryker asks.
“Or maybe a longie?” Axe adds, and Ryker chuckles.
“What time is it?” I ask.
One of Axe’s hands slides over my stomach and his fingertips draw circles around and below my belly button while Ryker teases one of my breasts.
“Does time matter?” Ryker pinches my nipple.
I gasp. “Not one bit.” The sun’s position might matter in terms of whether or not I can go outside, but it means nothing in terms of what goes on between these men and me.
