Page 112 of Fighting for Her Heart
He moans, his eyes flashing with golden fire, before fluttering shut for a few seconds.
“Seriously,” he says. “You’ve just…you’ve been through a lot.”
I sigh and press my head against his chest. “We all have. But I don’t want to think about any of that right now.”
The three of us enter Ryker’s condo, and it’s beyond luxurious.
“Wow. Ryker.” I slide down Axe’s hard body as I take in the space. One entire wall is glass, facing the square, but with a large balcony, more like a terrace in front.
Inside, the furniture is modern and sleek, masculine but tasteful, and large pieces of modern art hang on the walls.
“Anyone want a drink?” he asks, pointing toward a recessed backlit bar that’s covered in expensive looking bottles of liquor with sparkling crystal glasses in front.
“I expect that Ember is thirsty for something beyond alcoholic beverages,” Zuben says looking at me with concern.
My fangs tingle.
The three of them step toward me, and desire races through me in a way that I’ve never known—a rushing, pounding, driving need that leaves me paralyzed and dazed under it’s force.
“How about we all take a shower, little dove?” Ryker asks.
I brush my tongue around my mouth and swallow, trying to find the moisture to answer. “Shower? Am I…” I look down.
“I’m saying.” Ryker takes one of my hands and kisses its back. “That we’ve all been through a lot, my shower is big enough for four, so I vote we feed you in there.”
“That sounds like an excellent suggestion.” Zuben’s fingers trace up and down one of my arms, every place he touches igniting flames that lick and radiate to reach every part of me.
Still holding my hand, Ryker leads us into a bedroom housing the biggest bed I’ve ever seen, covered in black silk sheets, and then into a bathroom that’s as large as the kitchen back at the farmhouse.
In addition to gorgeous sinks and mirrors, and a deep bathtub that also looks like it’s big enough for four, one entire wall of the bathroom is filled with a tiled space that’s got benches along the back and sides, and more shower heads than I can count.
“Holy hell,” Axe says. “How does it all work?” He shakes his head. “Never mind.” He starts stripping. “Don’t care.”
Grinning, I start to remove my clothes too, but Zuben takes my hands off my zipper before I can slide it down.
“Allow me, cherished one. You have exerted yourself enough for one day.”
I smile softly. “I think I can muster the energy to undress.”
He nods. “Whether or not you are capable is not the question. Today, and for the rest of our lives, it is my goal to serve you. I will devote my life to make yours easier in every way that I am able.”
“Zuben.” I choke up as I stroke his cheek, and he slowly starts to undress me. I actually am very tired, and Axe comes to support me from behind as Zuben lovingly removes my clothes.
Ryker presses some buttons on a panel that’s just outside the shower, and water starts to fall from its ceiling, like it’s literally raining in there, and I realize there are even more shower heads in the space than I could spot from outside.
Once I’m fully nude, Ryker reaches for one of my hands and Axe takes the other. We move into the shower space, quickly followed by Zuben, who picks up two sets of large fluffy mitts from a basket sitting near the shower’s entrance.
The water is warm and perfect and I turn my face up to let it wash over me, not realizing how badly I needed this until it began.
“Let me have one of those,” Ryker says reaching for one of the mitts.
“Me too,” Axe says and all three of them put on a mitt, and let it soak in the rainfall of water.
“I want one too,” I say as Zuben starts to put on a second one.
He hesitates for a moment, but then nods and slips one, already dampened, over my hand.
The scent of lemons and oranges fills the space, and Ryker lifts my arm to pour some of the beautifully scented liquid soap onto my mitt. And then Axe and Zuben start using theirs, sliding them over my body.
